Kip Moore Releases New Song “How High” & Announces Ryman Show

Kip Moore’s new song, “How High” is available now, January 15th, on all streaming platforms. The song marks the second to be released of four new tracks coming from the deluxe version of his Wild World album, due out February 12th.

The original 13-track version of Wild World included songs like “Red White Blue Jean American Dream” and “She’s Mine”. The deluxe edition will include four new songs including already released “Don’t Go Changing” and now, “How High”.

The brand new track, “How High” is a metaphor about how unbelievably crazy the song’s character is about this girl. Comparing his affection for her to the smoke that fills up a room, to a balloon that gets released in the sky, and to the stars in outer space. The song takes on a deeper and less obvious meaning through the euphoric story that is told through its music video. 

The music video develops the story of an elderly woman living life how she desires, without allowing age to become any kind of a factor. Opening the video to how you’d imagine her morning begins: with her making tea and moving slow, dressed in her robe and glasses. Then, as she looks at pictures of herself young, she makes a decision that she should be living the same way she did back then. She goes into her closet and grabs her big white fur coat, her shiny gold pants, puts on a ‘PARTY’ fanny pack and red lipstick, lets her hair down, and trades her elderly looking glasses for big fancy ones.

The woman in the video goes outside with a red balloon in her hand and is dancing her way through the streets wherever she goes as she smokes and drinks. She is in her element, loving life, and not giving a damn what others are thinking about how she looks or what she’s doing. Her neighbor and other young people she passes give her looks and make fun of her as she passes, but once she interacts with them, they begin to act just the same as her. She is teaching them how to be young.

At the end of the day, she goes to the beach, walks out to the ocean, and lets the red balloon go. As she does, all those amazing moments flash in her mind and it’s like a feeling of relief and happiness knowing that’s how she spent her day and her life. 

“All the way / To the great beyond / Just to stand and wait at the Pearly Gates of God / And when you go / I’ll go there to ”

Lyrically, this song is incredible and the video’s story and character only deepens the beauty of the song’s message.

With the release of “How High” Moore also announced, “Wild World Deluxe: Live From The Ryman” a socially-distanced show and global livestream event at the famed Ryman Auditorium in Nashville, Tennessee. Taking place on release day, February 12th at 8PM CT. Tickets go on sale on January 19th and one dollar from every ticket sold will be donated to ACM Lifting Lives.

BREAKING: Eric Church to Sing National Anthem at Super Bowl 2021

Eric Church will join Jazmine Sullivan to sing the National Anthem for Super Bowl LV on Sunday, February 7th, 2021 live from Tampa Bay.

GRAMMY Award winners Eric Church and Jazmine Sullivan will open the special event with their performance just before kickoff, which is slated for 6:30PM ET. The performance will be live from Raymond James Stadium in Tampa.

Church and Sullivan will also be joined by fellow GRAMMY winner, H.E.R., who will perform “America The Beautiful” as well as halftime performer, the Weeknd.

Tim McGraw, Tyler Hubbard, and Garth Brooks set to perform at Biden Inauguration

The 90-minute primetime special kicks off at 8:30PM ET and will also feature performances by Demi Lovato, Bruce Springsteen, Justin Timberlake, Jon Bon Jovi, Foo Fighters, host Tom Hanks and more. Additionally, the historic ceremony will also include a tribute to COVID-19 first responders.

In a post shared to Instagram, McGraw revealed “Honored to be performing at the inaugural “Celebrating America” special tomorrow night with @tylerhubbard!” The duo will perform their recent collaborative track, “Undivided“.

Due to COVID-19 restrictions, as well as security concerns, many performances, including McGraw and Hubbard’s, will come to the show virtually. Brooks, however, will be at the capitol as part of the actual swearing-in ceremony.

Brooks shared, “This is a great day in our household,” said Brooks. “This is not a political statement. This is a statement of unity. This is history! And it’s an honor to get to serve. This is kinda how I get to serve this country. Our father served as a United States Marine in the Korean War; we had brothers that served in the Air Force and the Army. This is my chance to get to serve.”

Dan + Shay’s “I Should Probably Go To Bed” earns them their 8th career and 5th consecutive #1 as the song hits the top spot on the country charts this week.

In just a few short years, duo Dan + Shay have risen to superstardom. The GRAMMY winners and current nominees have a handful of number one hits under their belt, including their smash with pop icon Justin Bieber, “10,000 Hours” and the monumental “Tequila.” This week, Dan + Shay’s catchy tune, “I Should Probably Go to Bed” became a chart-topper too, marking the pair’s eighth career and fifth consecutive number one hit.

Released back in August after a social media hiatus by the duo, the song quickly won the hearts of fans and music lovers everywhere. Hailey Whitters Announces ‘Living The Dream’, Releases Jordan Davis Collab

Hailey Whitters’ new song “Ride” is available now, January 15th on all streaming platforms. Featuring Jordan Davis, the track is the second of five new songs off her forthcoming deluxe version to her critically acclaimed album The Dream, re-titled Living The Dream. The song follows the first single to be released from the project, a collaboration with Little Big Town called “Fillin’ My Cup”.

“The Ride” is a reflective, driving down a backroad type of song. Sonically, it’s reminiscent of Miranda Lambert’s “Automatic” – there’s something about it that sounds like a fresh start; a new beginning. The lyrics match this vibe, written by Hillary Lindsey, Ben West, and Whitters is a song all about how everything leads to where you are now.

“But it’s the stars that make the night / It’s the low that makes you high / It’s the song that makes you cry / It’s the road that makes the ride”.

Life is pretty uncertain right now, and Whitters’ contemplative outlook on it is the perfect soundtrack for this time. Jordan Davis joins in on the second verse, echoing Whitters’ sentiments.

“Might be hard to see it through the tears / But you still got a lot of good in your good years”

The two of them together sound like they are pushing the listener and themselves to ride out the hardships like we’re all diamonds in the rough waiting to shine. It’s a timely, universal message.

I felt it was important to show what can happen when you don’t give up on yourself.”

When Hailey Whitters, a 2021 NYCountry Swag Artist to Watch, released her life-changing single “Ten Year Town” about the journey and hardships of making it in Nashville, she pondered hopefully in the last line, “this next song could turn it all around”. It did turn all around for Hailey, and she is proof that paying dues and creating music that lifts people up changes everything.

Blake Shelton just released his new song “Minimum Wage” written by Corey Crowder, Jesse Frasure, and Nicolle Galyon. This follows two consecutive number one songs from Shelton with fiancé  Gwen Stefani: “Happy Anywhere” and “Nobody But You”.

“Minimum Wage” is the story of love not having a price tag; reminding us that it’s not about the money, the things you have, or the places you go, it’s about the one your with. Shelton said that he connected with the song immediately when he heard it. He shares, “I relate so much to the lyrics of this song. I have a lot of great memories playing dive bars in Nashville and then driving back to Oklahoma to play a gig,” Shelton continues. “I gravitate toward songs that feel like the stories of where I’ve been and where I am currently in my life, and I’ve got a lot of happiness in joy in my life these days.”

Florida Georgia Line Releases Title Track to Album “Life Rolls On”

Florida Georgia Line’s new song, “Life Rolls On” is available now, January 15th, on all streaming platforms. Following several songs pre-released off the upcoming album, this title-track has us anxiously waiting for the remaining tracks to complete this already outstanding album, due out February 12th.

“Life Rolls On” gives off major back-porch and campfire vibes. This soothing and peaceful song will still get your feet stomping and your hands-clapping. While other songs lately have reminded us of what we’re still going through, this one’s encouraging us to look ahead to the bright side. 

“This world will keep turning / The bonfires will keep burning / And I don’t know what God’s thinking of but where we are is where we belong / Oh and I know / It might be all right / It might be all wrong / But life rolls on / And on and on and on”

Without overlooking that the dark times are still with us, this song reminds us that when you survive tough times, you end up stronger on the other side. 

“As long as my hearts beating / And these old lungs keep breathing / The highs and the lows / The yes and the no’s / Only gonna make us strong”

“Life Goes On” is the perfect title-track to lead an album coming out of this pandemic. The positivity that emerges from this song despite the circumstances that caused it will undoubtedly find its way into the remaining tracks of the album.

The duo has been incredibly busy while leading up to their 16-track album release next month. They just released another single, “New Truck”, on the album last week. This was in addition to seven other songs already released including the current Top 15 Single “Long Live”  and 6 tracks that were originally released on the 6-pack EP which included “Second Guessing” from Songland and  “I Love My Country”, FGL’s 17th number one song.

They’ve also been featured on multiple songs with friends including “Drinkin’ Beer Talkin’ God Amen” with Chase Rice, “It’s About Time”  with Russell Dickerson, “Lil’ Bit”  with Nelly. They were heavily involved in the making of the collaboration album Chris Tomlin and Friends, singing songs “Forever Home”, “Thank You Lord” with Thomas Rhett, and “Sing” with Russell Dickerson. Hubbard even released his first solo track, a collaboration with Tim McGraw titled “Undivided”  just this week. The duo has also been hosting a radio show “FGL House Party Radio” on Apple Music Radio every other week, seven episodes so far. 

Despite the recent announcement that the duo will be releasing solo-music this year, it is clear there is no slowing down on their work together with FGL and Tree Vibez Music, a publishing company founded by the duo, where they work with fellow singer-songwriters Jordan Schmidt, Corey Crowder, RaeLynn, Canaan Smith, and Chris Loocke and more, acting as a large source of their many collabs with other writers.

Artist and songwriter, Devin Dawson’s latest project, The Pink Slip EP is officially available now, January 15th on all streaming platforms. Listen to the brand new record and take a look below as we dive into the new music.

It has been three years since singer-songwriter Devin Dawson graced music fans everywhere with his debut record Dark Horse. The soulful crooner proved right then and there that he was going to continue to make great music throughout his blossoming career. Flash forward to today, we finally have a brand new EP to dig in to, Dawson’s latest project The Pink Slip EP.

Keeping up with his soulful, eclectic, and edgy vibes, the collection of music proves that Dawson knows exactly who he is as an artist. The six-song project features heartfelt lyrics, groovy instrumentals, and a whole lot of heart. Opening up with two out of the three previously released songs, “Range Rover” and “I Got A Truck,” Dawson showcases his talent and charm right off the bat.

“Range Rover” depicts a story of a girl that everyone thinks is perfect, but in actuality, she is a gold digger. Without saying it per se, Dawson finds a way to convey that message pretty clearly through the hooky song. With a killer production to back the lyrics, Dawson creates something innovative and unique.

“I Got A Truck” is just as anthemic, featuring truth-telling and a meticulous knack for song-writing. We first got a taste of the incredible song two years ago at his sold-out show at the Bowery Ballroom and learned about the song’s evolution from a true story about Tim McGraw to now.

“I tricked myself into writing a song for myself. […] It’s become more evident every single time I play it now that it’s part of my repertoire. I was writing a song about his [McGraw] life, but it’s also about my life too, and the parallels between it,” shared Dawson in a recent conversation with our Managing Editor, Christina. “Not On My Watch” continues the standing your ground mentality that was fermented in the opening tracks. Dawson once again proves that he knows how to create songs that personify all sorts of emotions.

The next set of tracks off the new project lean into a more romantic and vulnerable side of the singer. One of our favorites, “Whatever Forever Is” is all about that one of a kind love that led him to his wife. “I used to write love songs about where I wanted to be and now I write love songs about where I’m at,” shared Dawson in our virtual interview. The statement is a perfect statement to describe “Whatever Forever Is”.

Next up, “He Loved Her” is the last song Dawson pre-released prior to the record drop date. The song honors his grandfather, calling it “one of the most important songs [that he] has ever written or released.” Infused with funky beats, when stripped down, “He Loved Her” is true-blue country music, story-telling at it’s finest.

Finally, the record ends with “Whose Gonna Hold Ya.” The song is as rhythmically pleasing as the lyrics are catchy. Inspired from thinking about faith and fidelity, Dawson finds a way to resonate with fans, while still remaining true to his authentic roots as an artist.

You can really picture the singer-songwriter just jamming with his friends and the excitement on his face, while this project came to fruition. It is clear that our dark horse has found a semblance of peace and happiness. The Pink Slip EP represents the evolution of Dawson, and we are here for it!

Seaforth Drops Brand New Heartwrenching Song “Breakups”

Australian pop-country duo, Seaforth released another new track titled “Breakups” today, January 15th, available on all streaming platforms. Written by the band members Mitch Thompson and Tom Jordan, along with Liz Rose and Cameron Bedell, this somber song can heavily relate to those who ended a relationship with someone they not only loved but considered their best friend.

The song’s plot is set around a man who is a few drinks in at a bar late at night. He cannot stop thinking about the one who got away and is close to shooting her a message, even though the end result is always negative.

The duo’s harmonies throughout the track deliver the message so beautifully and make it hard not to feel sad for this fictional person. Breakups are tough on both parties but are always more difficult for the one who was broken up with, especially when you felt they were more of a friend than a lover. The man even winds up getting another girl’s number, but cannot leave with her because his heart is still in too much pain from the last relationship.

Thompson and Jordan sing the first half of the song over nothing but a light piano and acoustic guitar, but the production gradually increases in the second and third choruses, building the drama and emotion even more.

With plenty of new releases over the past seven months, Seaforth gives fans reason to believe that they must be nearing their debut album. Along with “Breakups,” the duo has put out catchy tracks like “Close Enough,” and “Everything Falls For You.” They also have four songs from their Love That EP, which came out in April of 2019. While we eagerly await a full project, in the meantime, fans can enjoy the covers they sing and the comical videos they post on their Instagram page.
