Danielle Bradbery released a brand new song, “Girls In My Hometown” available on all streaming platforms now.
One good thing that has come out of 2020 is Danielle Bradbery’s return to music. The Voice winner and country songstress broke her music silence with the captivating song “Never Have I Ever,” and now she is showcasing her talent yet again in “Girls In My Hometown.”
We first heard this ballad back at Country Radio Seminar, (CRS) during one of the many exclusive industry showcases. The live version blew us away and this newly recorded version certainly does it justice. “Girls In My Hometown” is a poignant tune about feeling jaded and nostalgic about life and wondering about the people from your past.
This song is honest and relatable and truly showcases how women feel all the time in life. Written by one of our favorite songwriters, Nicolle Galyon, along with Josh Osborne and Emily Weisband, the lyrics are just as profound, as the vocals, and the acoustic arrangement.
“Are they getting married / Are they getting jaded / When they think 17 do they think of me and wonder if I made it / Are they really happy / Are they making daddy proud / What makes them cry, what gets them high / I think about the girls in my hometown”
Bradbery outdoes herself with this song, as she really leans into her vulnerability. She poses questions that many of us have experienced ourselves, which truly shows the beautify of universality on this track. We give credit to the songstress for expanding her artistry!

Caitlyn Smith and Old Dominion teamed up for a duet on a reimagined version of “I Can’t” from Smith’s Supernova deluxe album.
Back in March, Caitlyn Smith released her sophomore album Supernova at the forefront of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. Despite all obstacles of the unprecedented times and the lack of balance felt throughout the world, Smith’s album soared high and well. With praise from practically every media platform and the collection itself reaching #1 on the Apple Music Singer/Songwriter Album Chart, the songstress is back on the airwaves with a deluxe edition to Supernova.
The former solo vocal production of “I Can’t” is now joined and rediscovered through a partnership with Old Dominion, dubbing the duet the group’s first-ever collaboration track.
Smith’s rendition of “I Can’t” fulfills the powerhouse artistry and high-esteemed singer-songwriter category. The lyrics are emotional and unrevealing, while the balance of strength and helplessness keeps the listener engaged through the efforts of interpretation. Though the story behind the lyrics is unclear, the portrayed aftermath holds a significant delicacy that is just as metaphysical to describe. Simply put, “I Can’t” intoxicates the listener well enough to put on a loop.
With Old Dominion reintroducing the track as a collaboration, the auditory motion picture that Smith initially executed is given a new layer of weight and substance. Matthew Ramsey, who acts as the male lead vocalist, offers an entirely additional perspective and personality by assuming the role of the previously considered intangible figure who is mentioned through lyric.
“All the time and the whiskey I’ve wasted / That I ain’t ever getting back / And I’ve tried to find the courage just to face it / But I can’t, I can’t / And I’m tired of you feeling like a stranger / Over and over again / Oh, when everything around me keeps changing / But I can’t, I can’t, I can’t”
This rendition of Smith’s “I Can’t” with Old Dominion is not merely a collaboration. It’s an incredibly skilled and transformative duet that successfully moves like a ballad or an intense yet vulnerable contemporary dance of words. A prominent hardcore and interactive duet that compliments the originally noteworthy, sentimental, and mentally exclusive solo vocal production.
Supernova, the deluxe album, also includes a cover of “Fix You” which Smith released exclusively as an Amazon Original back in May.
“I Can’t” is now available everywhere you buy or stream music. Take a listen below and check out more new recently released tunes on our ‘New Country Music’ playlist. Be sure to give the playlist a follow for your weekly new country music fix.

Scotty McCreery released a brand new song, “You Time” available on all streaming platforms now.
America’s sweetheart Scotty McCreery is sharing a new chapter of his story with a merry new song, “You Time.” Coming off the success of singles “This Is It” and “In Between,” “You Time” attests to the engrossed lifestyle that a couple may share, and craving that one-on-one time.
It’s a buoyant track, co-written with Frank Rogers and Aaron Eshuis. Together, the three penned the lyrics at a time when the singer-songwriter was at his busiest, long before the COVID-19 pandemic put most projects across the globe on hold.
In a recent press release, McCreery confesses, “I was on the road more than I’d ever been before, and I’d get home just in time to see Gabi (McCreery’s wife) heading out to start her shift as a nurse. I was craving some ‘You Time’ with her and that inspired this song. Of course, now during the pandemic, we’re having a lot of ‘You Time’ which I love.”
The uptempo song encompasses familiar influences from past releases. It fits the contemporary country dynamic as McCreery confesses the nature of his admiration for his career and his girl.
“And I need a little you time, you time, red wine // Sippin’ in the moonlight // Your touch, your skin, your lips //
Kissin’ on me all night // I ain’t tryna monopolize // Your 24/7, 365, but sometimes I need //
Just a little bit of me and you time, you time, you time.”
“You Time” marks the first look at what fans can expect from the season 10 American Idol winner’s forthcoming album, a follow-up to Seasons Change, which sparked three number one hits. A release date for the new project will be announced soon. Fans can join our Weekly Round-Up e-newsletter here, for the latest in country music and more news about upcoming Scotty McCreery announcements in the coming weeks.

Jordan Rowe has released his debut song, “Good For Nothin'”, available on all streaming platforms now.
A new artist that we are excited about, Jordan Rowe was recently discovered by River House Artists, which includes superstars such as Luke Combs and Jameson Rodgers. Rowe is a great vocalist and songwriter, marking his debut release with a song entitled “Good For Nothin’.”
With a twang that is hard to miss, the South Georgia native laments on the track about taming his wild ways for a girl, who decided to break-up with him anyway. Written by the Rowe with songwriters, Ray Fulcher and Jay Brunswick, the song is traditional country mixed with a modern flair. Although the track appears lyrically to be sad, sonically the song uplifts us, and ultimately Rowe becomes a guy who is happy to get back to his good ole country boy roots.
“A little bit of you made a lot of me go away and mostly my wild side / Now I’m a Sunday morning saint / Got some narrow in my straight, leaving kind’s one thing I ain’t, but I can’t say the same ‘bout you / Now mama always said that the good guys win, but she must’ve never met you cause after all I did / All it is good for nothing, but cold beers but he dozen with good for nothing boys like me”
In his short career, Rowe has already performed with some of the most promising names in country music right now, including Combs, Riley Green, Chris Janson, and Morgan Wallen. The singer-songwriter is sure to have a bright future in country music!

Seaforth, have released their latest brand new track, “Talk About” available on all streaming platforms now.
The Australian pop-country duo of Mitch Thompson and Tom Jordan, better known as Seaforth just released a new song titled “Talk About.” This is the follow up to their romantic ballad “Everything Falls for You,” released on May 29th. While that track focused on the feelings towards a particular girl, “Talk About” is, ironically, all about the physical side of the relationship.
The track starts off slow, describing the tension between these two individuals, and picks up when the chorus comes around. The singer explains everything he wants to do with this woman, and none of it involves talking and the line “I wanna speak your body language” is a clever play on words.
A banjo backs the very poppy and upbeat tempo of this track, making it fun to sing along to for fans of all genres. With songs such as this one, Thompson and Jordan are molding their sound into one that fans of Dan + Shay, Chris Lane, and Brett Young would love.
“I kinda want your hands up on me / We got a lot to talk about / We both know what we’re playing with / if we put our lips together / I wanna speak your body language / We got a lot to talk about”
Seaforth did the actual talking in their track “Talk to Me,” on their debut EP, Love That released back in April of 2019. All this talking inspired the duo to create their own talk show. You can find their hilarious interview with their good friend, Mitchell Tenpenny on their Instagram page.
Thompson and Jordan grew up together in Seaforth, Australia. They were classmates, played on the same soccer team, and shared a love for music. Before moving to Nashville and signing with Sony Records, the two played weddings for cash. Learn more about them in our NYCS Swag Spotlight and in our video interview below.

Niko Moon released a brand new track, “Dance With Me” available on all streaming platforms now.
Up and coming country artist, Niko Moon, known for his feel-good hits such as “Good Time” and “Paradise To Me,” released a new track titled “Dance With Me.” Although this track brings a similar mood, he would like the party to be much more intimate this time; just him and this new girl.
In the track, the lyrics portray a trip to Las Vegas that is not going well at all, until the singer lays eyes on this woman, and suddenly he does not care about how bad he is doing at the casino. He then tests his luck and tries to persuade her to hit the town with him because, as the saying goes, what happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas.
Something ‘bout the way you look tonight / shining brighter than those neon, Vegas lights / got me feeling like I wanna roll the dice / and try my luck with you
Although Moon’s debut EP, Good Time was just released this past February, he is not new to country music. He has worked with Zac Brown Band in the past, writing, and produced songs such as “Beautiful Drug,” “Homegrown,” “Loving You Easy,” and many more. Moon’s style is a little different and at face value, it should not work—sprinkling his calm, subtle voice-over hip-hop, snap-track beat, acoustic strings, and an overall beach vibe–but somehow it does perfectly, making him so unique in this industry. We look forward to what is next for this very talented songwriter, producer, and now, entertainer.

Adam Doleac surprised fans with a new song, “Another”, available on all streaming platforms now.
After just releasing “Meet Me in the City,” last week, Adam Doleac is keeping the momentum going with an additional brand new track. Today, the singer introduced us to another vibe and side of his music with a new single entitled “Another.”
Both songs definitely feel like they are apart of the same project. While “Meet Me in the City” is more adventurous and up-tempo, “Another,” is a slow-groove that feels wistful and nostalgic at the same time. Although a love song, the new track isn’t outwardly lovey-dovey, it really takes some time to truly grasp the beautiful lyrics Doleac is conveying through his vocals.
“Losing all track of time / Everything you do just makes me want some more of you / Every smile, every kiss, every second that I get, every little look you give me like that / Every night, every day, every memory that we make, baby you ain’t even gotta ask / I’ll always want another dance / Another chance to hold your hand”
This song definitely has first dance appeal to all the brides out there. The singer-songwriter’s vocals shine, as he expresses his desire for only one person and no other. It is a beautiful sentiment that will be appreciated by any country music lover. Doleac has been one of our favorite artists since we featured him in our very first LIVE Swag Session back in 2017, and “Another” is just another song that fans will love.

Filmore’s debut album State I’m In is out now. Check out our full First Impression Review of the project and give it a listen below.
Today marks the day that one of our favorite artists, Filmore drops his debut album State I’m In. The singer-songwriter burst onto the mainstream scene in 2018, and since then, he has mesmerized fans and is taking the music industry by storm. He also found himself snagging a spot on our NYCS 2019 Artists to Watch list! If this 18-song record is any clue of what is in store, Filmore is sure to continue to be one to look out for.
“This album is a look into my life over the last few years. It’s the ups and downs in relationships, experiences from my hometown, life on the road, and living in Nashville,” the singer shares in a recent press release, “I wrote every song from a real and personal place with amazing writers and friends. My hope is that you can listen to the album from start to finish and know who Filmore is by the end.”
The singer’s sentiment perfectly embodies the record. The album features breakup songs that showcase different stages of a dissolution of a relationship and songs that explain how it feels to be so deeply in love with a person and with life. “London” and “Pictures On The Fridge” focus on the bittersweet nostalgia that comes from a breakup. The former takes us through all the places in London that the couple would have gone to together had they stayed together. The latter focuses on all the pictures that are no longer meaningful. Both songs are ironically upbeat for having a sad theme.
“Those 3x5s only remind me what I miss about you / You’re just a memory now, I still can’t take them down / It’s 3AM I’m lost again, damn these pictures on the fridge / These pictures on the fridge”
“Blue Skies,” “State I’m In,” and “Heart’s Having A Hard Time” focus on the emotions when you are in the thick of a breakup. All three songs convey an honest approach to music, as well as, to what we all feel as humans when we go through hard times. One of our favorites, “Heart’s Having A Hard Time” is especially poignant. It depicts the unique challenges of being the one to end the relationship, equally as painful in different ways.
“Yeah I know I made up my mind / But my heart / My heart’s having a hard”
Continuing to explore the same type of narrative, “W.I.L.D.” takes the idea of a broken relationship to a different level. The acronym, which stands for “when I lay down,” shines a light on the emotions that overtake us at night, when we go to bed and long for an ex-lover. Normalizing these feelings helps us all feel a little closer to the singer.
Of course, the record isn’t all break-up songs. Filmore gives us a power anthem on being single with “Nothing’s Better.” The brand new track reminds us of how good it feels to be confident in who you are.
“Nothing’s better than us not together / ‘cause the best kind of me is me without you”
Filmore’s debut album also fills our hearts with some promising love songs. “Love That About You,” “Me Lately,” and “Other Girl” depicts a different stage in a relationship. “Love That About You” is a complete jam about falling in love and appreciating all the little things about your significant other. “Me Lately,” tells the story about how the entertainer went through somewhat of metamorphosis when he finally found the love he was looking for. He sings about a special lady giving him the confidence to love himself, all because she loves and accepts him for who he is. Lastly, “Other Girl” is the song for when you realize you have found your forever.
Earlier this year, Filmore joined us a live swag session in New York City where he performed “Love That About You,” “Other Girl”, and “Slower,” before joining us for an interview. Check out the full video below.
Finally, to lace the whole record together, Filmore finds resolution and acceptance with songs like “Country Song,” “My Place,” and the concluding track, “Anyone But Me.” “Country Song” is the singer-songwriter’s ode to country music. It is the song that we can’t wait to hear live and sing along to. Similarly, “My Place” is another song made for the stage. Finally, “Anyone But Me” completes Filmore’s story for his debut album. He ends the record with an honest and truthful anecdote about how his life has changed for the good and for the bad over his nine-year journey in Nashville. The song is able to simultaneously wrap up a cohesive project and leave room for a second chapter in the next record.
Filmore explores the gamut of emotions throughout this record. Each of the eighteen tracks is clearly dosed with a whole lot of Filmore charm. From the lyrics to the production to the order of the tracks, State I’m In proves that Filmore is a talent like no other!
