Warren Zeiders Earns His First Number One Song with “Pretty Little Poison”

Warren Zeiders earns his first number one song at country radio with his single, “Pretty Little Poison.” Get all the details here!

Talented outlaw country artist, Warren Zeiders is about to blast off into stardom, if he has not already. The singer-songwriter mesmerized fans and industry-alike with his major-label debut album, Pretty Little Poison. Now the title track of that record is officially the number one song at country radio this week.

Written by Zeiders with Ryan Beaver and Jared Keim, “Pretty Little Poison” speaks to temptation. Throughout the lyric, fans hear Zeiders grapple with a love that is toxic, yet addicting. The battle between choosing something or someone we love and keeping ourselves from getting hurt is the crux of the now, number one song.

“Leaning on old memories // And talking ’bout what we used to be // She’ll probably be the death of me // But damn if it ain’t sweet // She’s my pretty little poison // My heartache in the night // With a kiss on her lips just like cyanide // Yeah, she came with a warning // But I didn’t mind // I’ll go out on that high every time // She’s my pretty little poison // My pretty little poison”

Congrats to Zeiders on their first number one single at country radio! We cannot wait to see what song heads to country radio next.

Warren Zeiders: ‘717 Tapes: The Album’ – Album Review

Warren Zeiders’ new project, 717 Tapes: The Album is out now, September 30th on all streaming platforms. Take a listen and read our full review below.

One of our 2022 Country Swag Artists to Watch, Warren Zeiders continues to make waves in country music. The singer-songwriter is combining his killer two-part EP, 717 Tapes into a monumental album. 717 Tapes: The Album is officially here.

The record features fan-favorites like “Ride the Lightning” and both versions of “Wild Horse,” as well songs from the first EP like “Never Look Back” and “Boys for Life.” From Vol 2 of 717 Tapes EP, Zeiders includes four additional songs, other than “Wild Horse.” “Ain’t Been Found,” one of our favorites, is a sweet spot on the record. Zeiders stands firmly in his country roots on the track. The song could fit in with any southern-rock song from the last couple of decades. The simplistic track draws you in, as Zeiders uses his vocals to unfold the story.

“Whiskey’s got me // Seeing sideways // Blame the devil for all my mistakes // Lord help me // Wash these sins away // Cause I am lost // Yeah, I am lost // And I ain’t been found // Always standing too close to the fire // Never could say no to my desire”

The new album also features four brand-new additions. On, “One Hell of an Angel,” Zeiders showcases all the best parts of his one-of-a-kind talent. “I believe this song has captured something special and it has allowed me to share a new side of myself artistically and emotionally from a personal level,” began the singer in a recent press release. “I believe that we all have an angel sent to us one day. We may never know when or where it’ll happen. But God has a plan for each and every one of our lives. In is his timing, our angel will be sent.”

Another new song, “Up To No Good,” is a catchy and fun song that we fell in love with immediately. The song is easily an absolute jam. A catchy and irresistible melody backs incredible and emotive vocals. Zeiders’ talent is on full display on this song.

“People talking, all my friends // Texting, calling, all weekend // Like why I ain’t seen you around // What’s the names tying you down // I don’t care cause they don’t know that // First she light that takes me over // Going out of my mind // Wrong never feel so right”

Zeiders closes out the record with the final two new songs off the project, “Heavy Pour” and “Highway Run.” On the former, the singer-songwriter kicks off with an impressive note that almost feels like a yodel. His vocals are on full display on one of our favorites off the project. Finally on, “Highway Run,” a slow-jam, Zeiders pours his heart out. A reflective song, the singer is at his best on this one.

Overall, 717 Tapes: The Album is exactly what we hoped it would be! Zeiders has a voice like no other. His unique way of lacing together words and phrases mixed with his intense grit and growl are the perfect ingredients for a long career in country music.

The song is easily an absolute jam. A catchy and irresistible melody backs incredible and emotive vocals. “Up To No Good” may be one of our favorite songs from Zeiders so far. According to a recent press release the song, “snaps like a touchdown pass from acoustic verses into an electric guitar-charged hook.” We agree.

“People talking, all my friends // Texting, calling, all weekend // Like why I ain’t seen you around // What’s the names tying you down // I don’t care cause they don’t know that // First she light that takes me over // Going out of my mind // Wrong never feel so right”

Warren Zeiders: ‘717 Tapes EP Vol. 2’ – EP Review

Warren Zeiders’ brand new EP, 717 Tapes Vol. II., is out now, April 22nd on all streaming platforms. Listen to the brand new music below and check out our full review.

One of our 2022 Country Swag Artists to Watch, Warren Zeiders proves time and time again why he made our coveted list. The singer-songwriter stands head and shoulders above many in the industry with his gritty vocals and incredible songwriting. Today, the artist releases the second part of his two-part EP. 717 Tapes Vol. II is officially here.

Zeiders’ EP is bookended by two versions of his recently released song, “Wild Horse.” Written by the singer with Brandon Paddock and Martin Johnson, his vocals are on full display. The deeply-emotive song conveys how it feels to suffer a great loss. Although we love the original version, track six, the acoustic version of the song stops us in our tracks. The emotions are almost palpable.

“Well it’s time to move along I guess // Everything I love I leave behind // Standing in a field out west // One thing on my heart, one on my mind // She rolls like the thunder, flies like the wind out where the river done end // I burned all the bridges left in my life // Ain’t coming back again”

On “Dark Night,” Zeiders leans deeper into the southern-rock side of his talent. His gritty vocals match the dark-nature of the song in a way that feels like a perfect match. On the other hand, “Southbound” shows off the singer’s more sensitive side. The lyric-driven song is all about love, possibility, and honesty. These are just a few reasons why the song is one of our favorites on the project.

“Papa wore the tread off his old boots // Did what he did to get us through // He sent me on my way // And I’m here to make him proud // So I’ll keep rollin’ rollin’ south bound”

Zeiders stands firmly in his country roots on “Ain’t Been Found.” The song could fit in with any southern-rock song from the last couple of decades. The simplistic track draws you in, as Zeiders uses his vocals to unfold the story.

“Burn It Down” wraps up the cohesive project. Written by Zeiders with Andy Sheridan, Erik Dylan, and Rob Snyder, the song showcases everything that the previous song set up. It has grit, honesty, story, and undeniable charm.

Overall, Zeiders EP is a true depiction of his one-of-a-kind artistry.

717 Tapes EP Vol. II Tracklist:

  1. Wild Horse
  2. Dark Night
  3. Southbound

Who Is Warren Zeiders? The Story Behind His Journey to Country Music

Who is Warren Zeiders? The singer-songwriter joined us to chat about his journey to country music. Get to know the rising star here…

The Beginning:

Country artists have many different career paths and stories, which makes the industry so interesting and exciting at the same time. This week we spotlight a new artist who found his start recently thanks to social media and loyal fans.

Warren Zeiders hails from Pennsylvania, where he shares that his supportive family is everything to him.”It really started in church for me,” Zieders explains, regarding his introduction to music. “I come from a family that grew up in church,” he continues, “I just found a love for singing old hymns and singing in church.”

The 22-year-old spent his childhood enamored with music; despite, never considering it as a career.Being raised in church and realizing that I loved to sing, music was always my outlet, but it was never a career path in my eyes or my family’s eyes,” he shared.

Regardless, that did not stop Zeiders from collecting a large variety of influences and, of course, learning to play guitar in 6th grade.“The first concert I ever went to was with my father. It was a Jeremy Camp, TobyMac concert and those are two Christian artists. […] It was something that really left an impact on my life and my love for music.”

Zeiders also shared with us a love for southern rock, country music, and rock music. “I have a lot of different influences when it comes to where I take inspiration from, so my music really has hints of southern rock in it. I like to incorporate my Christian side into my music with my lyrics and certain messages that I spread to my fans and what I believe in.”

The Turning Point:

Things really started to shift for the singer-songwriter during his sophomore year of college. Up until that point, Zeiders focus was on playing Lacrosse and getting a degree in marketing. However, quarantine stopped him in his tracks, and really changed the course his life was on.

“The whole music thing did not really start until after quarantine,” begins Zeiders. “So after I gave up lacrosse my sophomore year and moved back home and had a change of pace in my life, I had some things to think through and figure out what I wanted to do in my life as a young adult.”

With some encouragement from a friend, the singer starting posting himself singing covers on social media apps like TikTok. “As a person who always loved to sing and probably sang more than he spoke, quarantine kind of came out of nowhere and I had a friend tell me you should make a TikTok and post on TikTok and Instagram and make it solely for music.”

Quite quickly, Zeiders found success and a fanbase on social media; garnering over 1.5 million fans on TikTok today alone. He eventually found the ears of a manager in the country music industry, who truly believed in his talent, leading the singer to release his own original music, as well as, a project of fan-favorite covers.

“I started recording music in my bedroom and starting putting it on social media […] Fans were consuming it at such a large rate where I never would have expected that. With that being said, that’s kinda where it all started to open my eyes to I might have an opportunity to pursue this.”

Today:

Flash forward to today, Zeiders is definitely pursuing a career in the music industry. In his young career, he continues to show off his undeniable talent, charisma, and ability to craft music. Earlier this year, the singer released his first project of original music on what he calls the 717 Tapes. The EP features five original songs all co-penned by the newcomer, including fan-favorite “Ride the Lighting.”

Zeiders shared with us the interesting story behind the lead single, “‘Ride the Lighting,’ my most popular song right now, was actually the first song I ever wrote. It was the first song I ever wrote in Nashville during my first time in Nashville.” The singer wrote the song over Zoom, sitting in his manager’s guest bedroom.

Of course, Zeiders’ covers are just as popular as his own music. The recently released Acoustic Covers (Deluxe) album features some of his most incredible renditions that fans have fallen in love with on social media, including “Outskirts of Heaven.” Zeiders’ rendition features none-other than Craig Campbell on the track as well.

It is safe to say that Zeiders is the real deal. He will continue to release original songs and covers that speak to the diehard fanbase he has organically built, as well as, speak to his own journey as as a country music singer-songwriter. Keep your eyes peeled for more from the singer coming in 2022!
