Rich adds later, “From a song we all loved, to a record that fully embodies the emotion behind every word, you can hear the pain in the notes. I can’t wait for people to listen!”
“A Little Bit Of You” is a tug-at-your-heartstrings type of song. Rich’s vocals are at an all time high on this killer new track. The record is country music at its finest, and we appreciate the evolution and risk the singer-songwriter took with this song. Add it to your playlists ASAP!

Here is the 55th Annual CMA Awards recap featuring big wins by country superstars Chris Stapleton, Luke Combs, and more.
The 55th Annual CMA Awards took place last night (November 10th), returning to its normal format: one venue, no masks, no social distancing, and most importantly, a live audience! Luke Bryan hosted the historic night from Bridgestone Arena in Nashville. Chris Stapleton took home four awards, winning Male Vocalist of the Year, Album of the Year with Starting Over, and Single and Song of the Year for “Starting Over.” Luke Combs won the final and most prestigious award of the night, Entertainer of the Year, an iconic moment for the artist.
The show began with a medley of hits from Entertainer of the Year nominee, Miranda Lambert. She sang “Mama’s Broken Heart,” “Bluebird,” “Gunpowder & Lead,” and several other hits. The running joke of the night was that host, Bryan was incapable of hosting the show alone, even though he has performed in front of massive crowds, has hosted previously, and is on television every week on American Idol. Other artists felt the need to join in and assist the first-time CMA host. His fellow American Idol judges, Lionel Richie and Katy Perry even joined him to announc the first award of the night, Song of the Year, which Stapleton took home.
One of the best parts of these award shows are the electrifying collaborations that we would not see anywhere else. Chris Young and Kane Brown took to the stage together to sing “Famous Friends;” Breland and HARDY joined Dierks Bentley for a performance of their chart-climbing single, “Beers On Me;” Carly Pearce and Ashley McBryde teamed up for their brand new song “Never Wanted To Be That Girl,” one of the highlights of the night, and Jason Aldean and Carrie Underwood performed their number one song “If I Didn’t Love You.”
Early award announcements included Vocal Duo of the Year, which went to Brothers Osbourne, after a two-year run from Dan + Shay, who were also nominated. In a category that was stacked with talent, (HARDY, Mickey Guyton, Gabby Barrett, and Ingrid Andress) Jimmie Allen took home the New Artist of the Year award. Additionally, Old Dominion won the Vocal Group of the Year for the fourth straight year. They also performed their smash-hit “I Was On a Boat That Day” earlier in the show.
Although there were many standout moments throughout the night, there were a few that we loved the most. Some of our favorites include, Luke Combs debuting his brand new song “Doin’ This,” which is now available on all streaming platforms; Russell Dickerson bringing Sarah Frei, an amputee teen from Utah, on the CMA stage as well providing her with a wheelchair-accessible Chevrolet; Brittney Spencer and Madeline Edwards joining Mickey Guyton to perform her new song, “Love My Hair,” showing off their bountiful curls; and Chris Stapleton and Jennifer Hudson covering some of Aretha Franklin’s biggest hits in respect of the Queen of Soul. Fans and other artists were in awe of Hudson’s incredible vocal range, gathering grand reactions from Breland, Ashley McBryde, and HARDY in particular.
Other performers included Gabby Barrett who sang her number one song “The Good Ones;” Zac Brown Band who performed “Same Boat;” Keith Urban—“Wild Hearts;” Thomas Rhett—“Country Again;” Jimmie Allen—“Freedom Was A Highway;” Brother Osborne—“Younger Me;” Blake Shelton—“Come Back As A Country Boy;” Dan + Shay—“I Should Probably Go To Bed;” Chris Stapleton—“Cold;” and Eric Church—“Heart on Fire” with actual flames surrounding him.
Three categories were awarded before the show—two of them went to Kelsea Ballerini and Kenny Chesney for their song “half of my hometown.” The song won Best Musical Event and Music Video of the Year. Jenee Fleenor won the Musician of the Year for her incredible work on the fiddle.
At the end of the show, Carly Pearce was awarded Female Vocalist of the Year. Her fellow nominee, Ashley McBryde joined her on stage to help begin her speech, as she was clearly at a loss for words and overcome with emotion. The last two awards were given to Stapleton and Combs, for Male Vocalist and Entertainer of the Year, respectively. Bryan, who performed his latest single, “Up” earlier in the show, closed out the CMA Awards with a classic hit “I Don’t Want This Night to End.”

Jimmie Allen says goodbye after shocking elimination during Week 8 of Dancing With The Stars.
Eight weeks into season 30 of Dancing with the Stars, country singer Jimmie Allen’s journey has come to an end. Allen and his partner Emma Slater danced twice during the Janet Jackson-themed broadcast. The couple scored a 32 out of 40 for their cha cha to “Escapades” but lost the dance-off round when judge Bruno Tonioli awarded two bonus points to Olympic gymnast Suni Lee and her partner Sasha Farber.
At the end of the night, Allen was eliminated along with celebrity Olivia Jade, exiting the competition just shy of the semi-finals. The dancing may be over for Allen, but country fans can catch him back on stage later this week as he performs live at the CMA Awards Wednesday, November 10 on ABC.

Who is Willie Jones? The singer-songwriter joined us to chat about his journey to country music. Get to know the rising star here…
The Beginning:
One of the coolest things going on in country music right now is the genre blending and the diversity in the industry. Singer-songwriter, Willie Jones is at the forefront of this movement. A new artist to most, the rising artist has been grinding for over a decade. We chatted with him about his journey to where he is now and everything in between.
Growing up in Shreveport, Louisiana, Jones recalls how important music was to him. “I grew up with my mom, my dad, and my sisters,” he began. “Music in my life was always something that I loved. Earliest I can remember was being 4 years old and wanting to sing.” The singer sang in church, in choir, and was involved in school plays throughout his youth.
“I listened to a lot of different stuff. I was inspired by so many,” shared Jones. “I’m talking Gospel [music], I’m talking Soulja Boy to musical theatre, freaking Beyonce, T-Pain, John Legend, Kacey Musgraves. Just all over man. I just like music that I like.” It is clear that the singer has learned to fuse his love for hiphop with soulful country music, since his childhood.
“Growing up we had so much, I mean our generation had just a different form of access to different kinds of music. Everybody just grew up around different things.” Jones shared later, “music today everybody is kind of all over the place and that’s a great thing. […] “If it sounds good to me, I’ll listen to it.”
The Turning Point:
Jones has been making a name for himself basically his whole life. However, back in 2012, the singer competed on the popular show, X factor. At just eighteen years old, the judges and America knew Jones was a star in the making. “That was my first kind of splash on the scene. Of course, so much work goes in to really getting a career after you do one of those shows. That was almost 10 years ago and there’s been a lot of freaking ups and downs. […] The goal was always to make great music.”
Since then, Jones has garnered over a million followers across his social media following. The singer even signed a record deal with Sony Music Nashville earlier this year. Jones is proud to represent Louisiana, his country roots, and is amongst the growing powerful group of black entertainers in country music right now.
Jones connected to storytelling in the genre, and it is clear he fits right in.“That’s one thing that definitely drew me to country music was the stories that were told and the instruments that were used. It’s really cool to see where country music is now and see it just expand and grow into people telling stories in a country format in a way that’s personal and individual to them.”
Today:
Flash forward to today, 2021 has been quite the year for the singer. Jones has a handful of songs out so far, including “Down By The Riverside”, and most recently “Get Low, Get High.” The singer-songwriter shared the story behind the later during our conversation. “It was like one of the first songs that I wrote during the quarantine. This was when the music industry was figuring out how to do things,” he began.
“I was back home in Louisiana and it was a crazy storm the night before that I had this write and the next day it was the most beautiful day when I had this write. It was just crazy to see how wild and horrible, tree limbs falling down, lighting, and the next day the sun out and some breeze,” shared Jones. “We wrote the song in my backyard, but I was telling my co-writers about the weather the night before. […] We just got into this conversation about how life has ups and downs and we have to really learn from the lows and appreciate the lows to really celebrate the highs in life.”
The anthemic song has become a fan-favorite, and one we can all use during the crazy last few years. Jones shared, “I’m excited for people to add this song to their playlist and to their life because I know it’s one that just lifts the vibration.” We tend to agree!
Lucky for fans, Jones promises more music coming at the top of the new year. “I will say this, there is definitely going to be more music. There’s going to be more visuals and there’s going to be more life, more love, more growth. We got some big stuff coming. I’m just really excited to keep growing.”

Walker Hayes has been one of our favorite artists since day one. Watching the singer-songwriter receive the recognition he deserves over the last year via TikTok has been so exciting. Today, Hayes’ viral song “Fancy Like” is officially the number one song at country radio.

“Yeah, we fancy like Applebees on a date night // Got that Bourbon Street steak with the Oreo shake // Get some whipped cream on the top too // Two straws, one check, girl, I got you // Bougie like Natty in the styrofoam // Squeak-squeakin’ in the truck bed all the way home // Some Alabama-jamma, she my Dixieland delight // Ayy, that’s how we do, how we do, fancy like, oh”

Russell Dickerson collaborates with Jake Scott on new song, “She Likes It,” out today, November 5th, on all streaming platforms. Learn more about the brand new track below.
One of our favorites and day ones, Russell Dickerson is always showing off his skills on social media. Just last month, the singer-songwriter premiered a chorus he had written on TikTok, asking someone else to write a verse to it. Jake Scott obliged and an incredible collaboration was born between the two rising stars. Today, Dickerson and Scott released their new song “She Likes It.”
The pop-country tune is the perfect blend of both artists’ sounds. “She Likes It” fits in with each entertainer’s catalog of music. The song kicks off with Dickerson singing a verse that appears to be inspired by his real life romance with his wife and muse, Kailey. However, the second verse is all Scott! The two singers harmonize and sing the rest of the song together, showcasing both of their star-studded talents equally.
“She likes it when I // Pour tequila cause she knows that we about to have ourselves a little night // When I play John Denver through that little Bose speaker // And I start dimming those lights // She knows by the way that I’m kissin’ on her / That we gon’ take our time // She likes it when I”
Dickerson is an artist that could truly collaborate with anyone. As a fan of his and Jake Scott, this collab is one we will certainly have one repeat.
