The CMT Music Awards have revealed their first pair of hosts for the show, Kane Brown and Sarah Hyland.
CMT announced today (October 8th), that the 2020 CMT Music Awards show will have multiple hosts including the first set to be revealed, country superstar Kane Brown and actor, musician, and producer Sarah Hyland. This marks first-time hosting duties for both stars.
In a recent press release, CMT producers shared “From our first conversations about this year’s show, we knew we wanted multiple hosts who reflected both our artists and our audience. Kane and Sarah are young stars on momentous career rolls: Sarah is an award-winning, sought-after Hollywood actor who’s been a familiar face to millions of TV households for over 10 years; and Kane is a self-made success story who has skyrocketed to country music fame by crossing musical genres and delivering history-making hits. We’re thrilled to welcome them both to their first-time hosting duties at the CMT Music Awards.”
As previously announced, Brown will also be performing on the show along with special performances by fellow nominees Little Big Town, Ashley McBryde, Dan + Shay, Luke Bryan, and Maren Morris. Each one-of-a-kind performance will take place from outdoor spaces in and around Nashville, Tennessee. Additionally, breakout stars Caylee Hammack, HARDY, Ingrid Andress, Mickey Guyton, Riley Green, and Travis Denning will each perform on the Ram Side Stage with even more surprises to come.
The annual show is the only entirely fan-voted award show in the country music world honoring the genre’s best and most fan-favorite artists. Fan voting has already begun and will continue through Monday, October 12th at 12PM EST. Visit vote.cmt.com to cast your votes.
