Billy Currington Rocks NYCountry Swag…

After meeting Billy Currington at New York City’s Playstation Theater Saturday Night for his “Stay Up ‘Til The Sun” Tour, We were stoked to see him rocking his new New York Country Swag snapback the following day at his Boston show. Check out the video below for clips from his weekend. We love seeing that New York Country Swag on stage! You can grab your snapback here.

If you have the opportunity to see Billy live, do not pass it up! The Georgia-born, country music singer-songwriter’s show includes an impressive list of his numerous number 1 hits like the crowd favorite “People Are Crazy,” plus “Must be Doin’ Somethin’ Right,” “Good Directions,” and more!

Mixing his classics with some of his new stuff like, “It Don’t Hurt Like It Used To,” and “Do I Make You Wanna” off the new album, Summer Forever, from start to finish, Currington keeps the audience on their feet and singing to every song.

Opening the show was Seth Ennis, a Tennessee-born, Georgia-raised country music singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist. We named Ennis on our 2017 Artists to Watch List and his 30 minute set did not disappoint! Covering songs from Bieber, Fall Out Boy and more showcased his eclectic talent. Closing the set with his debut single, “Woke Up in Nashville,” Ennis sure left the crowd wanting more.

Thanks to help from Billy Currington’s team, we gave away a few pre-show Meet & Greet‘s to some lucky winners! Congrats to our winners – Rosemary, Jackie, Lorren & Jaclyn. We hope you had a great time at the show & an awesome time meeting Billy Currington!

Introducing: The Hero Collection

The Hero Collection by New York Country Swag is inspired by the men and women of the Fire & Police Departments across the country. We are dedicated to honoring their service and remembering their sacrifice.

Each month a portion of sales from this collection is donated to organizations & charities affiliated with fire & police departments nationwide. During the month of May 2017, We raised $1,412.55 for the The FDNY Captain Timothy Stackpole Foundation.

Read more about this organization below & Click Here to read more about our current Organization of the Month.

“The greatest high you can ever get in life is by helping somebody and making a difference in life…” – Captain Timothy Stackpole

In 1998, Timothy Stackpole was injured in a five-alarm house fire, which killed two of his fellow firefighters and injured many when the second floor collapsed. Stackpole’s severe injuries would have qualified him to retire with a full pension, but Stackpole was determined to get back to work. After months of rehabilitation, dozens of surgeries and painful skin grafts, Stackpole returned to active duty in March 2001. Later, he was promoted to Captain on September 6th, 2001. Less than a week later, he was in FDNY headquarters, off-duty, on what turned out to be a fateful morning.

Stackpole answered his last call on September 11th, 2001.

Timothy Stackpole’s name is listed on the National Fallen Firefighters Foundation Roll of Honor. His entry reads in part, “Timmy had a huge heart, and shared his faith and compassion and love with everyone he met. His remarkable story has inspired many and his love for the job has touched many firefighters across the country. He was a hero not only because of how he died, but more importantly, because of how he lived.”

The Stackpole Foundation reflects the beliefs, dedication and spirit of its namesake, Timothy Stackpole, who believed it was our God-given mission that in times of trouble, grief, sorrow, trial and disaster, each of us has an obligation to reach out to help others, in any way we can. The foundation has helped to sponsor social events for wounded veterans and their families, assisted in hosting midshipmen from the US Naval Academy following the tragic death of Justin Zemser, donated toys to children in need and have contributed to The St. Camillus Special Olympics.

New York Country Swag is proud to support such an honorable foundation.

Our goal with the launch of our Hero Collection is to help expose the daily heroism of our first responders.
