Track45 introduces their debut project, “Small Town” EP, available now, October 23rd.

A new family-oriented band has landed in Nashville. The trio, now dubbed as Track45, are officially introducing themselves with an EP titled Small Town. Siblings Jenna, Ben, and KK Johnson, originally from Mississippi, offer three tracks that provide listeners with the first look at their multifaceted artistry and honest roots.

“We moved to Nashville with a big dream,” says the members of Track45 in a recent press release. “We’re so proud that our first EP, Small Town, tells the story of who we are and where we’re from. We poured our hearts into this project, and we hope people love it as much as we do!”

Though the group is new to releasing their own music and being a part of a record label, each individual artist has been successful behind the scenes in publishing and songwriting. In fact, Ben has just received his first #1 as a songwriter with Lee Brice’s “One of Them Girls”. Other cuts with their involvement include artists such as Justin Timberlake, Charlie Puth, HARDY, and Lauren Alaina.

Now, Track45 has taken the spotlight by writing songs for their own voice. “Come On In”, the introduction track to Small Town, acts as a musical greeting to, essentially, the world. Lyrically, the story brings awareness to the close-knit family and growing up in Meridian, Mississippi. At the same time, though, it’s a call to action for any listener to come on in.

“Me + You” is a more stripped production that showcases the broad range of the band in regards to delivering soft, delicate tones as well as strong harmonies through attractive storytelling. The vocal contribution throughout the track is arranged in a way to familiarize oneself with the talent present. For instance, Ben works both inside and outside of the adjoining voices until a moment is designated for him to incorporate a mature male lead that adds a new layer to the already captivating performance.

The last, but certainly not the least, on the EP, “Met Me Now” seems to focus primarily on country music influences. It’s wholesome with an intent to retrace steps of the past in order to make things right with a certain someone. Though, there’s a growth in the comparison of the “now vs. then” self-reflection that is uplifting and motivating.

The southern hospitality does not go unnoticed both through lyric and theory. Track45 balances small-town values and stories through an invigorating blend of genres relating to country, R&B, pop, and rock in a modern way.
