Both have had success in their own right, but now the singer-songwriters get to celebrate together. Their first collaborate song, “Chasing After You” officially hit the number one spot at country radio.

It was just a matter of time before the song made its way up the charts.

“But I know, yeah I know it’s a matter of time // ‘Til you walk, ’til you walk back out of my life // Leave me standing here lonely, feeling like a fool, mm, mm // Every time, every time you say we’re done // You come back to the love you were running from // Don’t know why, don’t know why I let you, but I do // Guess I love chasing after you”

Jason Aldean & Carrie Underwood Hit #1 with “If I Didn’t Love You”

Jason Aldean and Carrie Underwood’s killer collaborative song “If I Didn’t Love You” hit the top of the charts this week, making its way to number one.

Just three months after its debut, Jason Aldean and Carrie Underwood’s duet “If I Didn’t Love You” is a hit! The song officially cemented the top spot on the country charts this week. It marks the 26th number one for Aldean, following “Blame It On You.” For Underwood, the song is her 16th number one hit.

“If I Didn’t Love You” is a heartbreaking ballad. The two singers lament about what it’s like to love someone so deeply, but not be able to be with them. Neither lover knows exactly how the other feels, making the feelings, even harder to cope with. Both Aldean and Underwood show off their vocal ability and grit throughout this enticing song.

“If I didn’t love you, I’d be good by now // I’d be better than barely getting by somehow // Yeah it would be easy not to miss you // Wonder about who’s with you // Turn the want you off whenever I want too // If I didn’t love you”

The single will appear on Aldean’s upcoming record Macon, slated for a November 12th release. As for Underwood, fans can stream the special edition of her holiday album My Gift, out now.

Scotty McCreery Earns His Fourth Number One Song with “You Time”

Scotty McCreery scored his fourth consecutive number one single with his song “You Time” off his newest record, Same Truck.

Scotty McCreery has lived a whole other life since he won over our hearts on the TV screen back in 2011’s American Idol. In the last few years, he has really found his footing as a country artist, singing songs about his faith, his now-wife, and country living. McCreery’s latest single “You Time” officially hit the number one spot on the charts. It follows “Five More Minutes,” “This Is It,” and “In Between.”

The song is all about craving that one on one time with your partner. Due to McCreery’s busy schedule, time with his family most likely feels even more special and necessary. The song was even written on the road, when the singer was at his busiest. Written by McCreery, Frank Rogers, and Aaron Eshuis, the fun, upbeat track shows that hitting pause in our busy lives to recharge with our significant others is important.

“The road’s got me rollin’ six days a week // Whole lotta work and not much sleep // But I love what I do // Yeah, I know it’s what I signed up for // Chasin’ dreams from shore to shore //And even seeing some come true”

We are excited to see what’s next for McCreery as he and his team celebrate this monumental achievement. Congrats!

Lainey Wilson Scores First Number One with “Things A Man Oughta Know”

Lainey Wilson scores her first number one single with “Things A Man Oughta Know.” The song is her lead single of her major-label record Sayin’ What I’m Thinkin.

Fiery newcomer, Lainey Wilson is one of our favorite new artists in country music. During her live shows, she mesmerizes fans and truly takes over the stage. Although her record Sayin’ What I’m Thinkin only came out in February, the project already houses a hit song. Wilson’s debut single “Things A Man Oughta Know” is officially the number one song on country charts.

The lead single captivated fans and industry almost instantly. We have watched it steadily climb up the charts over the last several months. With each milestone hit, it has been so exciting watching the single rise. Wilson helps to break the mold for all of the incredibly talented female artists out there who are just not getting enough radio play.

“How to know when it’s love // How to stay when it’s tough // How to know you’re messin’ up a good thing // And how to fix it ‘fore it’s too late // And yeah, I know a boy // Who gave up and got it wrong // If you really love a woman, you don’t let her go // Yeah, I know a few things a man oughta know”

The song itself is all about a woman teaching a few lessons to a man. It breaks gender stereotypes in a way that is both enticing and important. Wilson is a true star in the making. We cannot wait to see her star continue to rise, as more and more fans flock to her shows! Congrats to Wilson and her team on the number one!

Thomas Rhett Scores 18th Number One Single with “Country Again”

Thomas Rhett’s song “Country Again” officially marks his eighteenth number one single on Country Radio. The track follows the success of “What’s Your Country Song.”

Platinum-selling superstar, Thomas Rhett can truly do no wrong with fans and the country music industry alike. His talent transcends genres and generations. Back in March, his lead single “What’s Your Country Song,” the lead single off his record Country Again Side A, earned him his seventeenth number one song. Today, the second single off that project, “Country Again” is the next number one song of his career.

“Country Again” peaked the interest of fans, even before its release. The song strips back the production and focuses on simplicity. As the lyrics state, Rhett favors small-town life to the glitz and glam of fame. The song marks the singer’s return to his roots. Although we love everything Rhett puts out, it is nice to see him return to the sound and style of music that made him a household name.

“I spent way less time in Nashville // And more time in L.A. // My back home buddies, they quit callin’ // Thought I had too much on my plate // But last night we cracked some cold beers // And cranked Eric Church to ten // Thought, Man, it feels good to be country again”

Only time will tell what is next for Rhett’s career. It seems everything he touches is a success, and for good reason. Fans can look forward to the next installment of the singer’s double album, slated to come out later this year. Congrats to Rhett and his team for another hit!

The singer’s current radio single “Waves” catapulted to the number one spot on the charts just four months after it impacted country radio. The fourth single off his latest project Born Here Live Here Die Here“Waves” is clearly a crowd-favorite. Written by Chase McGill, Zachery Crowell, and Ryan Hurd, the single is one that will make anyone swoon. Bryan’s piercing vocals make this song hard not to fall in love with.
