Morgan Wallen Goes Number One with “Lies Lies Lies”
Morgan Wallen goes number one on country radio with his infectious single, “Lies Lies Lies.” Get all the details here.
Morgan Wallen’s music seems to always be a hit with fans and the country music industry no matter what. Every time the singer-songwriter teases a song, fans instantly beg for its release, which was the case with the singer’s latest radio single, “Lies Lies Lies.” In what felt like record time, the single officially hit the top of the country radio charts this week, marking Wallen’s 14th number one single at county radio.
Written by Jessie Jo Dillon, Josh Miller, Daniel Ross and Chris Tompkins, and produced by Joey Moi, “Lies Lies Lies” feels tailored-made for Wallen and his signature sound. The lyrics convey how it feels to try to get over someone, even though you know in your hear that you just can’t. Wallen’s portrayal of the song feels tender, honest, and vulnerable.
“It wasn’t nothing to give you up // I never reach for you in another touch // Don’t ever think about you with him // And girl, tonight I won’t call again and again // Ain’t nothin’ but // Lies, lies, lies // Look into my eyes, eyes, eyes // I’m still a fool for you // Nothin’ I wouldn’t do for you // Lies, lies, lies // Girl, I’m on a downhill dive // Habits and hard heartbreaks are hard to break // So I just tell the same old lies, liеs, lies // Yeah, baby, I can try, try, try”
Officially marking a new era of music for Wallen, “Lies Lies Lies” is another hit for the singer!
