Chase Matthew Earns First Number One at Country Radio with “Darlin'”

Chase Matthew earns his first number one at country radio this week with his single, “Darlin’’.” Learn all the details here.

Chase Matthew is one of the coolest rising artists in the country music genre right now. He continues to pave his own lane in the genre, leaning on influences both in and out of the country genre. Today, his hard-work was finally recognized. He earned his first number one single at country radio with his song, “Darlin’.”

Written by Matthew with Alex Maxwell, Ciaran Wilkin, and Hunter Huff, “Darlin'” is catchy and innovative. The song is reminiscent of early 2000s punk rock, while keeping with a chiller vibe and sampling killer hip-hop beats. Unique and memorable, it is no wonder that “Darlin'” finally reached the top spot on the country radio charts.

“Why’s he call you darlin’? // Why’s he call you daily? // Why you tryna act like I’m just out here being crazy? // How’s he know your mama? // Does he drive your Mercedes? // You can say whatever, baby what you wanna call it // But why’s he call you darlin’? Yeah // And if he’s just a friend, then tell me why’s he always calling? // (Why’s he c-) // You can’t play me like a fiddle girl // See that’s where you went wrong // There’s been rumors round this town”

Congrats to Chase Matthew and his team on their number one! It’s only a matter of time before his next radio single hits the top of the charts.
