[Listen] Newcomer Kylie Morgan Releases “Easy To Forget”
Nashville based Kylie Morgan released her anticipated new single “Easy To Forget” earlier this month. From beginning writing at 12 years old, to releasing independent music as a teen, Morgan is primed for success in this business. Her first single release is full of vulnerability, truth, and feelings we don’t want to admit we’ve felt.
The chorus “You’re like a Rolling Stones record on repeat / Can’t get you out of my head / You’re like a first sip of Tennessee whiskey / Still burning on my lips / Keep hearing your voice, keep seeing your face / Keep reaching for the ghost lying here in my bed / Wish you were more like a drunken memory / Easy to forget” explains the story of how wishing a relationship gone wrong would be more forgettable. Her angelic voice that makes you believe every word and understand the pain she’s feeling.
The well-known writers and producers, Josh Kerr and Shane McAnally produced the track as Morgan is a part of the SMACKSongs team. The team assists her to refine and release her music, under the advice of GRAMMY Award-winning songwriters, McAnally and Josh Osborne.
She captioned her picture of the release on her Instagram, “I can’t tell you how long I’ve waited for this moment. From my heart to your headphones. This is a day I’ll never forget.” Certainly this single is just a taste of what’s coming for Morgan and she’ll have more days coming her way that will be memorable. You can listen to “Easy To Forget” on all digital platforms now.
