Griffen Palmer Makes Label Debut with New Song “Second Guessing”

Griffen Palmer makes label debut with new song “Second Guessing,” out now, January 13th, on all streaming platforms. Listen to the brand new track below.

NBC Songland’s Griffen Palmer is making his major label debut as Big Loud Records’ newest signee. The singer-songwriter first dazzled fans on the hit show, even winning his episode. Iconic duo, Florida Georgia Line recorded his song, “Second Guessing.” Now, Palmer is sharing his debut rendition of the song, out today.

From the moment he sang it on the show, it was clear that “Second Guessing” was a hit country song. Palmer’s knack for songwriting is obvious, and he has the vocals to back it up. The love song is a confident portrayal of what it feels like to be with the right person. With Valentine’s Day around the corner, we imagine that this song is going to steal the spotlight, even more than it already has.

“That since I met you, I // I ain’t spent one second guessin’ // Lord knows I’ve tried // ‘Cause I’ve had my heart broken in every direction // Too many times // But I saw the rest of my life with one look in your eyes // I’m confessing // That I ain’t spent one second guessin'”

“Second Guessing” is just the beginning for Palmer. He has paved his own path in country music thus far. Now with a team like Big Loud backing him, fans can expect more music and a debut album slated for release sometime this year.

Just a few days into 2023, and we can already declare that this year is going to be a great one for country music. Last week, Old Dominion shared new music with fans, and this week, they announced a brand new sampler called ‘Memory Lane.’ The new musical appetizer so to speak features four songs to hold fans over until the inevitable next studio album.

“We’ve been working on so much new music, and the response to “Memory Lane” [the song] has been so energizing that we decided we’re tired of sitting on it all!” shared Old Dominion’s Matthew Ramsey in a recent press release. “We’re so excited to share three more songs heading into the No Bad Vibes Tour and the next chapter in our musical journey.”

The new project features four songs, all co-written by the band, including “Memory Lane,” “Ain’t Got a Worry,” “Freedom Like You,” and “Easier Said With Rum.” Each of the four tracks showcases the signature nostalgic and relatable sound that we have come to love from Old Dominion. Additionally, the wordplay is nothing short of perfection. All four songs are incredible additions to their already impressive music catalog.

Charles Kelley Releases Touching New Song “As Far As You Could Go”

Charles Kelley’s brand new song, “As Far As You Could Go” is out now, January 6th, on all streaming platforms. Listen to the brand new track below.

Inspired by his journey to get sober, Charles Kelley of Lady A released a brand new song. His touching new song, “As Far As You Could Go” is an incredible ballad that will hit home for many people. Kelley pours his heart into the song, sharing the details of his addiction while inspiring hope too.

The confessional song is a true letter to alcohol, the vice that got him through so many moments throughout his life. It marks the turning point for himself, his sobriety. As a songwriter, Kelley has the unique ability to wear his heart on his sleeve, even when expressing topics that are tough for many to hear about. “As Far As You Could Go” is one of the most important songs in country music right now.

“But you scared me half to death // Thought I couldn’t hit that stage // Without you runnin’ through my veins // Now I sing the songs I always have // But the meaning’s bound to change // ‘Cause you took me high, but you sure as hell brought me down // We said goodbye, but I’m gonna see you around // And to tell the truth, I thought I never would // But it’s time I finally put you down for good // ‘Cause you’ve taken me as far as you could”

“This song is my goodbye letter to alcohol…” Kelley shared. “I wrote ‘As Far As You Could’ with my bandmate Dave and the talented Jimmy Robbins and this is the demo. This song was very therapeutic to write and I hope it can meet someone where they are.” Congrats to Kelley for having the courage to share this song with the world!

Shania Twain Shares Brand New Song “Giddy Up!” Out Now

Shania Twain’s brand new song, “Giddy Up!” is out now, January 6th, on all streaming platforms. Listen to the brand new track below.

Queen of Country Pop music, Shania Twain is a true staple in the music landscape. While she rose to fame in the 90s, Twain has not released a new project since 2017. All that is about to change, as her upcoming album Queen of Me is slated for release on February 3rd. Twain shared another song off the project last week, giving fans a taste of her new sound with, “Giddy Up!.”

The new song is an upbeat anthem. Twain’s contagious energy is unmatched on the track. According to an interview with People, Twain shared, “I want people to feel good when they hear the new album. I want to set a celebratory tone and ‘Giddy Up!’ is a way to call to the audience and say, ‘Let’s get ready for some fun!'”

“I left my heart at a waterin’ hole // Somewhere in smalltown, Ohio // Headed out west to Arizona // ‘Cause the east coast weather’s too cold, cold, cold // Easy come, easy go // I got a fast car with the ’90s on // Not a soul on the road, but the road is home // Smiles for miles // All upon my face (my face) // Wear it, share it // ‘Cause we ain’t got time to waste // Up, in your giddy up! // Giddy, giddy up!”

It is exciting to see a new generation of country music fans bow down to Twain’s one-of-a-kind talent. She is a true superstar in every shape of the world. Her upcoming album is sure to be a highlight of 2023.

Another classic, Combs pours his heart out on this enticing break-up song. If you have ever been to a live show then you know that fans go crazy for this song.

The rising artists are known individually to be talented up-and-comers in the industry; however, together, they have created absolute magic. “Place For Me” is a touching new song about the afterlife for rednecks. All the cliches come out in the chorus like Chevys, deer stands, and granddaddy’s, but collectively, it just works.

“If rednecks gotta place up in Heaven // My first Chevys waiting on me // I can see it right now best seat in the house // Is a deer stand up a pine tree // If the Sunday crowd gets a little too loud // And grandaddy’s there you best believe // If redneck got a place up in Heaven // then there’s a place for me”

Throughout the song, Tyndall and Marlowe take turns singing, while also harmonizing together in some of the most magical moments of the track. “Place For Me” is sure to be a song that has fans wondering what’s to come for the respective artists.

Chase Rice Drops Brand New Song “I Hate Cowboys”

Chase Rice’s new song, “I Hate Cowboys” is out now, January 6th, on all streaming platforms. Listen to the brand new track below.

2023 is going to be a breakout year for recording artist, Chase Rice. Last year, he released the first three songs off his upcoming album, I Hate Cowboys & All Dogs Go To Hell, due out February 10, 2023. Today, the singer-songwriter is sharing the newest addition to his growing catalog, a brand new song called “I Hate Cowboys.”

Rice previously shared that this album is going to be unapologetically him, and “I Hate Cowboys” fits the bill. The brand new song is a heartbreaking account of losing the one you love because of someone else. Between the wordplay, the story, and the heart, Rice has something special with “I Hate Cowboys.”

Chase Rice // Photo: Kaiser Cunningham

“Cause they think that they’re John Wayne walking through the door // Turning every head, including yours // Pretty thing never seen one before // Got a thing for bad guys, yeah // They ask her to dance while you’re at the bar // Starts taking about them Texas stars // Next thing you know, you got a broken heart // She’s gone and that’s why I hate cowboys”

“I Hate Cowboys” joins “Way Down Yonder,” “If I Were Rock & Roll” and “Key West & Colorado” on the umping album. The new record is shaping up to be something really special. We are confident that Rice’s long-time fans will follow him, and that he will also gain many new fans in the process.
