Walker Hayes’ new track “Drinking Songs” is out now, January 7th on all streaming platforms. Learn more about the new track below.
Walker Hayes’ moment to shine is now! As longtime fans of the singer-songwriter, even naming him an Artist to Watch back in 2017, it is so exciting to see his stardom continue to rise. His mega-hit “Fancy Like,” and his rising single, “AA,” keeps fans excited for what’s to come. Today, Hayes releases the next song off his upcoming album, Country Stuff The Album, due out January 21st. His new song “Drinking Songs” is out now.
Although Hayes has a checkered past with alcohol, he jokes “who better to write a drinking song than an alcoholic?,” on his social media. The truth is this song is deep, yet fun to listen to, a combination you do not typically find in music.
“So give me that bourbon and Bocephus // I can’t help me so help me Jesus (Jesus) // She ain’t coming back like you // She gone (Back like you) // So what I need is, boys right now // Hank ain’t never gon’ let me down (Gon’ let me down) // Bring them family traditions on // Yeah I’m just keep sittin’ here sippin’ and singin’ along // Thank God for drinkin’ and drinkin’ songs”
The new song depicts how many of us feel, when we have hit rock bottom, especially after losing someone we love. Hayes is a master wordsmith. This song is just another example of how clever and unique his artistry truly is. He is sure to gain some new fans with his song!

Maren Morris’ new song “Circles Around This Town” is out now, January 7th on all streaming platforms. Listen here and learn more about the new track below.
It’s been almost three years since Maren Morris released her phenomenal, award-winning sophomore record GIRL, and fans have been eagerly awaiting MM3. Since 2019, Morris has released a small handful of collaborations with Ryan Hurd, Joy Oladokun, and JP Saxe, but today’s release, “Circles Around This Town” is the official lead single off her new project.
Written with her singer-songwriter husband Ryan Hurd and the fantastic Julia Michaels, “Circles Around This Town” is an autobiographical jam about her journey as a Nashville songwriter. Usually, Morris doesn’t go into the specifics of her own experiences when writing – she uses metaphors to describe the story. In this song, however, she paints the picture with imagery so vividly personal to her it lets you get to know a new side of her.
“I swear I don’t know how I trusted // A Montero with the AC busted // A couple bad demos on a burned CD // Would take me all the way to Tennessee”, she opens the first verse with the beginning of her Nashville story. In the second verse, she subtly name-drops debut single “My Church”, and the entire song feels like a nod to her past, present, and her future.
This track was produced by GIRL powerhouse producer Greg Kurstin, and the drums and guitar lick are transportive. Additionally, the music video for “Circles Around This Town” is also out now, and the visuals completely elevate the song. She is seen in a small apartment on an old desktop computer and even drives literal circles around a parking lot.
“I drove circles around this town // Trying to write circles around this town // Trying to say something with meaning, something worth singing about”
It’s the perfect song to go driving to – Morris and Kurstin did an exceptional job matching the lyrics to the sonic components.
It’s unclear whether Morris meant for the song to match the hopefulness one tries to have when going into a new year, but the timing of its release is quite interesting. We just began a new year, and “Circles Around This Town” is all about finding meaning and being grateful for keeping an open mind. “Thank God I was an optimist”, she sings right before the first chorus – and no statement in the song rings more true than that. 2022 is already looking bright thanks to Morris.

After the success of her debut project Reckless, Morgan Wade is following up the record with more new music. The singer-songwriter proves her staying power one incredible song at at time. The songstress first teased her song “Run” last month, and now the track is officially out!
The stunning vocalist pours her heart out on the new song. Backed by a simplistic instrumental, Wade’s voice and lyrics are the true showstoppers. “Run” is pure poetry. The song depicts the good and bad in a relationship, sharing how the yearning is not always easy to stop.
Morgan Wade’s new song “Run” is out now, January 5th, on all streaming platforms.
“Can we fly somewhere foreign // Get me high, mess me up until the morning // ‘Cause all I see in every street // Is where he made me numb // There’s gotta be somewhere // Somewhere we can run, we can run // So many places that I ain’t been // All I know is I was living my life for him // We could fly, we could leave this town // Bury these memories that been holding us down”

Morgan Wallen and ERNEST’s new song, “Flower Shops” is out now, December 31st, and available on all streaming platforms. Learn more about the new track below.
If you are a fan of ERNEST or Morgan Wallen, it is likely you have already heard the stripped-down, acoustic version of “Flower Shops”. The two first teased the highly anticipated track back in August. Since then, fans have been begging for the sad, heartbreak ballad to be officially released. To build even more anticipation, ERNEST joined Wallen on stage to perform it live together on tour. Written alongside Ben Burgress and Mark Holman, ERNEST shares the inspiration behind the song and plays a sample of it on his podcast, Just Being ERNEST.
This is a traditional country-sounding song that centers around a relationship on the ropes. The subject constantly finds himself at the florist buying everything. From violets to roses to daisies, it is a desperate attempt to win back his woman’s love. Steel guitar is beautifully sprinkled all over the track. ERNEST takes the first verse and chorus, while Wallen sings the darker, second verse. Wallen laments about heavy drinking and drugs after she took the dogs and moved back in with her mom. The song ends with the two harmonizing the final chorus.
“So mister I’ll take your roses, if you cut off the thorns; she can’t take no more // I’ll buy violets and daisies to get back my baby, it’s gonna take all you got // it’s a bad day for love, but a good day for flower shops”
Wallen and ERNEST have been good friends for a while now; ERNEST even co-wrote eleven tracks on Wallen’s 10 week-number one project Dangerous: The Double Album.ERNEST has already had a successful career as a songwriter but is looking for some of his own material to go on tour with as well. He has several singles out including “Cheers” and “American Rust,” and a nine-track project titled Locals Onlyreleased in 2019, but “Flower Shops” might be the song to put his name on the map as an entertainer.
The two performed the song together on the first night of Wallen’s The Dangerous Tour 2022 kick-off during a sold-out show at Madison Square Garden. Check out the performance below.

Kidd G’s debut album Down Home Boy: Gone Since Last October (Deluxe) is out now, December 24th, on all streaming platforms. Check out our full review and listen to the brand new music below.
With almost one million followers on TikTok alone, Kidd G is leading the pack in this new wave of country music. His eclectic sound and honesty is attracting fans across the world. Today, the singer released his the deluxe version of his full-length album, Down Home Boy: Gone Since Last October.
Featuring eighteen original songs, the artist, whose real name is Jonathan Gabriel Horne, is a writer on all of the tracks. Kidd G features the four brand new songs first on the project. They include “I Don’t Wanna,” Last October,” “Use A Drink,” and “Only 16.” The singer co-wrote each of the four new tracks.
The first song is a fun-loving, jam that will resonate with the singer’s fanbase. The vibe continues you on “Use A Drink.” “Last October,” one of our favorite new songs is a song similar to the honest of Morgan Wallen’s “Livin’ The Dream.” The honesty continues on “Only 16.”
The project continues with some of the songs that started it all for the singer, including “Down Home Boy,” and “Paper Hearts (F-150).” The former is an ode to his upbringing, a common theme on the record. On the other hand, the latter is an introspective song that has fans flocking to him.
“Paper hearts in the glovebox of my F-150 (F-150) // And I might just take one out and light it up // And throw it out the window //Because I’m tipsy”
Similarly, Kidd G’s previously released song “Summer In A Small Town” has become a fan-favorite. The new song has summer romance, fun, and living the good life written all over it. Visually appealing both lyrically and within the music video, Kidd G makes every listener want to live in a small town. His country boy vocals are on full display in this fun-loving and sweet country song.
Kidd G leans into his romantic side even more on “What It’s Like,” “I Think I Love Her,” and “Ordinary Girl.” “What It’s Like” is a clever confession of liking someone. He utilizes country music staples with lyrics like “how does it feel to have a country boy’s heart racing,” as he professes his love for a special someone. On “I Think I Love Her,” the singer expresses his adoration and love for a girl yet again. If the first two songs are precursors to love, “Ordinary Girl” is a true-blue declaration of true love in a more modern and funky approach.
Leaning into his emo-music roots, “If Heaven Had A Phone” is one of the most poignant songs off the project. Anyone who has ever lost someone and missed someone can relate to this heartfelt and touching single. Kidd G leans into the vulnerability again on “Whiskey & Wine,” a fan-favorite song.
Kidd G puts words to a different kind of heartbreak on “Break Up Song.” The song starts off melancholy, but quickly reminds us of all the things that are waiting for us on the other side of a break-up. He is all of us on this catchy tune.
“The truth is I don’t believe a word that you said // The hard part is that I knew that you’re gone // The worst part is that I gotta move on // Yeah, the worst part is that I even had to make this song // Cheers to a break-up song”
On “Folks Back Home,” Kidd G clearly shares his story of growing up in the country. He shows pride for his small-town upbringing yet again. Finally, the record wraps with the pensive song, “Last Call.” Kidd G struggles with his demons from a broken relationship on the moody, yet captivating song.
Overall, Kidd G’s debut release is like nothing you have ever listened to before. And that’s a good thing! Clearly influenced by hip-hop, emo, and country music, Kidd G’s sound is one that’s all of his own. Fans should definitely give this record a listen.
