Listen to Ingrid Andress’ New Song “Seeing Someone Else” Here

Ingrid Andress releases her brand new song, “Seeing Someone Else,” out now, May 13th, on all streaming platforms. Listen to the brand new song below.

Ingrid Andress just dropped her latest track “Seeing Someone Else”, which follows her recent release “New Person” last month. The “Lady Like” and “More Hearts Than Mine” singer is gearing up for the release of her next album.

The GRAMMY-nominated singer-songwriter describes the making of the upcoming album as real adventure – a mixture of fun and exciting new things, but also with some struggle. It’s the contrast that she enjoys. She shares, “making this album was one of the most painful processes I’ve ever been through, but it was also the brightest and the best. It’s crazy how you can experience both those things at the same time.” She describes the project as being even more reflective, confessive, and deeper than her debut album Lady Like. “I didn’t think I could be more open, but I guess I am. Just when you think you’ve exposed it all, you see that you only just cracked it.”

Unable to tour in support of Lady Like, as the album debuted in March of 2020, Andress dove back into songwriting. It was her way of processing everything, and a way to force herself to look into her personal life – again. Focusing on her reality and checking in on how she was feeling brought her to the realization, and ultimately what this album is, which was that “I wasn’t happy and I needed to fix it”.

Andress co-produced the project, pushing boundaries fearlessly in everything from sound, arrangement, and vocals, not allowing her or her music to be labeled or put in a box. She shared that “the first album was me trying to discover who I was as an artist and this one is just me being purely raw with what I was going through. I didn’t know what it’s going to sound like, I just stuck to the experiences I was having and it all came together naturally from being honest and processing my life.”

Written by Ingrid Andress, Jesse Frasure, and Derrick Southerland, “Seeing Someone Else” is a realization that your partner is not in love with you, but rather with the past version of yourself. Ironically, they are not on the phone with someone new, or staying out with someone else, but they are holding on to a version of you that no longer exists. Having to confront this painful realization, she must acknowledge that the relationship is not going to work if he would rather have what she feels is the lesser version of herself, over the woman she has become.

“I think you’re seeing someone else // I think you’re seeing who I used to be // I bet you wish I was the girl that you met // Out at a bar making a mess, so twenty-three // And if you’re honest with yourself // You know you’re hanging onto history // Yeah yeah // You say you’re still in love but it’s so obvious when you look at me // I think you’re seeing someone else”

Andress will be Keith Urban’s The Speed of Now World Tour 2022 this summer. The tour makes a stop on Long Island at the UBS Arena on October 22nd. You can get your tickets here.

Spencer Crandall Releases Brand New Song “What Do We Do Now”

Spencer Crandall’s new song “What Do We Do Now” is officially out now, May 13th, on all streaming platforms.  Take a look below as we dig into the track.

Country singer-songwriter, Spencer Crandall is ready to take the country world by storm. Today, the singer releases a song that we can all relate to, called “What Do We Do Now”.

Written by Crandall with Joe Tongue, and Scott Porter, the song personifies how it feels to live life again after a break-up. It begs the question, how do we separate our lives from our ex? When we are in a relationship, our lives are so tightly woven and entangled, so part of a break-up is learning how to pick it back apart. Crandall’s new song “What Do We Do Now” shares the feelings perfectly.

“What do we do now? // Now that we know we can’t work this out // Can we go from needing love back to friends or is this I guess I’ll see you around / what are we // what are we // what do we do now? // If I see you out sometime // can I come say hi // or do I walk by // Can I send a birthday text?”

Crandall is a rising artist you are going to want to keep on your radar. He is going to continue to have bigger and bigger songs, as his career progresses. “What Do We Do Now” is just the beginning.

Elle King Teams Up with Dierks Bentley on New Song “Worth A Shot”

Elle King and Dierks Bentley teamed up on brand new song, “Worth A Shot,” out now, May 13th, on all streaming platforms. Listen to the new track below.

Elle King is proving to be a force to reckon with in country music. She blew us away with her collaboration and number one song with Miranda Lambert, “Drunk (And I Don’t Wanna Go Home)”, as well as, with her other recently released songs. Today, the songstress joins forces with none other than Dierks Bentley on their brand new song “Worth A Shot.”

The new track is the perfect combination of King and Bentley’s signature sounds. “Worth A Shot” is fun, nostalgic, and primed for the live show. The entertainers debuted the song at Elle’s Ryman Show back in March, and it was an instant hit with fans that were in attendance.

“Might be in a bottle // Little proof from the past // Might be at the bottom // Of an empty glass // Don’t know if the whiskey can fix it or no // But baby it’s worth a shot // One shot // From the top of the shelf // Maybe two what the hell // Cause we’ve been on the rocks // One shot maybe all that we got”

We say this often, but collaborations in country music are all the rage, and for good reason. King and Bentley are just another example of how well two different musicians can sound together. This collaboration marks the second track the two have now released together after their 2016 GRAMMY-nominated song, “Different For Girls”.

Here is Morgan Wallen’s Brand New Song, “You Proof”

Morgan Wallen’s new song, “You Proof” is out now, May 13th, on all streaming platforms. Listen to the brand new song below.

In honor of his own birthday, Morgan Wallen decided to thank his fans with a gift! The singer-songwriter followed his release of “Thought You Should Know” with another fan-favorite, “You Proof.” After teasing the track several months ago, fans have been begging Wallen to release the song, and he finally obliged.

The country song is all about drinking away the memory of a past love. An all too familiar feeling, the singer taps into the emotions anyone who has ever dealt with heartbreak could understand. Although Wallen does not condone drinking away your feelings, it is safe to say he knows how it feels to deal with heartbreak. His vocals soar on “You Proof,” another example of the singer’s one-of-a-kind talent.

“I need something you proof, something stronger than I’m used to // I’ve been pouring 90 to 100 // feelin’ like nothing’s gonna cut it // that’s the hard truth // I need something you proof, aw, I need something you proof”

This is truly the year for Wallen. He continues to give his fans everything with both his live performances and his music. Only time will tell to see how much more the megastar accomplishes in his young career!

Alana Springsteen’s New Song “Trust Issues” is Out Now – Listen Here

Alana Springsteen’s new song “Trust Issues” is out now, May 13th, on all streaming platforms. Listen to the brand new track below.

Alana Springsteen noted that her latest release, “Trust Issues”, is her favorite song that she has written to date and we have to admit, it’s ours too! The new track follows recent releases “New Number”  and “Me, Myself and Why”. This group of songs is expected to make up the sequel project to Springsteen’s debut project History of Breaking Up (Part 1) EP.

Written with Sasha Sloan, Jessie Jo Dillon, and Nick Bailey, Springsteen describes the day they wrote the song together as “more of a therapy session than anything else”. Springsteen was not the only one in the room who had just gone through a break-up, and she believes that them being in that room with her gave her the courage to say what she needed to out loud. Springsteen shared that “’Trust Issues’ was painful to write. It’s a song I had put off writing, but I knew needed to get out. For my sake.”

This song is about heartbreak, lies that unfold, and the pain of realizing the person you were with is not the person you thought they were. It’s about the fear of not knowing if you will be able to trust someone or a relationship again. Although the message is deep, it doesn’t come off as a sad song and instead is a heartbreak anthem with a feel-good tempo.

“Thank you for all of the lies // And thank you for wreckin’ my life // Thank you for the tears and the unnecessary drama // Can’t believe I let someone like you around my mama // Thank you for breakin’ my heart // And thank you for leavin’ a scar // You got all my love and then you even took the truck too // And all I got are trust issues”

Dylan Scott & Jimmie Allen Join Forces on New Collaborative Song

Dylan Scott and Jimmie Allen join forces on new collaborative song, “In Our Blood,” out now, May 6th, on all streaming platforms. Listen to the brand new song below.

There is something always enticing about collaborations. Since country music is such a big family, it is no surprise that duets are happening more often than not on songs and records across the genre. Today, Dylan Scott enlists fellow singer-songwriter Jimmie Allen to join in on his new song “In Our Blood.”

The country-rock song is the right mix of dark and anthemic. It reminds us all that we are all the same at the end of the day. It encourages all of us to let go of our differences, and just love one another. In a time of strife and divisiveness, it is especially important to have songs like this in our music catalog.

“We all get born and we all get a name // and we all get raised, might not be the same // But we all have hearts and we all feel pain // Don’t we? // And we might do things in a different way, but we all want love and we all need grace // Everybody bleeds red at the end of the day, don’t we?”

“In Our Blood” is the personification of the human experience. Both Scott and Allen bring their signature styles to this hauntingly beautiful song. This is one that is going to have us thinking about for a long time coming. Our power to love is stronger than anything that could ever divide us.

Midland: ‘The Last Resort: Greetings From’ – Album Review + Interview

Midland’s brand new album, The Last Resort: Greetings From is out now, May 6th on all streaming platforms. Take a listen and read our full review below.

Country music’s favorite outlaw band, Midland is back with their third studio album, The Last Resort: Greetings From. The album is a fabulous, romantic, and glamorous record all wrapped into one. We had the chance to chat with the trio leading up to the release, so read below as we dive into the record and the conversation.

One of the first things to note is the parallels between the sonic and artistic aesthetic and lineage that runs deeply throughout The Last Resort: Greetings From. It could be considered a concept album, as the men of Midland are no longer bar regulars staying until last call. “We kind of workshop ideas around, and during Covid I moved back to my hometown of Arizona”, Mark Wystrach shared with us. “I found myself living amongst this world of tons of cacti… selfishly, I wanted everyone to come out and hang, I made some references and helped find some locations… and that set the setting for it all.”

The opener and title track does indeed set you to a desert and a smokey bar. “The Last Resort”, written by all of the band members plus the incomparable Shane McAnally and Josh Osborne, has a foot-tapping groove to it along with lush pedal steel guitar. Then, there’s the standout moment “Take Her Off Your Hands” that will have listeners nodding along to the guitar riff that is obvious ear candy. “She didn’t put that dress on to be ignored by a man short on romance // To blind to give her a second glance”, they sing in the second verse. “If forever’s just not in your plans // Let me take her off your hands”. It’s a traditionally country, unrequited love song.

“Bury Me In Blue Jeans” has the perfect, witty lyrics that are classically western and country tropes. “When I’m heading home // Bury me in blue jeans”. There’s a certain kind of swag that this song entails, and it’s more upbeat than a lot of the rest of the record.

The Eagles-meets-Alan Jackson-esque “Long Neck Way To Go” collaboration with Jon Pardi feels incredibly natural. “I feel like of all the songs we cut, “Long Neck”, as we’re tracking it in the studio, felt like, ‘how is this not a song we’ve cut and recorded before?’…. Jon is someone who’s championed us since the beginning,” the band explains to us. “He took us out on our first real tour…. he’s the like the fourth member of Midland. He’s like our crazy cousin!”

The album’s middle and the album’s end both anchor the rest of the record in completely different, yet substantial ways. “And Then Some”, perhaps the strongest and saddest on the record, is a tasteful heartbreak song about being over someone, “and then somebody says your name // and I’m right back where you left me”. The moments that are subtle are just as impactful as the more outrageous moments. “Adios Cowboy” is the perfect closer to an already remarkable album. Another foot-tapper, this one is about how sometimes, the cowboy doesn’t always win the girl over. The lyrics tell a story in real-time, so plainly, that you really feel it. It truly makes the record so cohesive and will leave the listener feeling content… and ready to listen to the album again and again.

Midland continues to make amazing music, and this project is no exception. It’s great to listen to as a whole collection of songs, but will also sound wonderful live. Their album proves that Midland is here to stay in country music.

Kane Brown Drops New Song “Like I Love Country Music”

Kane Brown’s new song, “Like I Love Country Music” is out now, May 6th, on all streaming platforms. Listen to the brand new song below.

Kane Brown found his niche—blending elements of pop and R&B into country, while featuring some of music’s biggest artists, to create a new and unique sound. However, Brown is also not afraid to work fiddle and steel into his songs every now and then. “Like I Love County Music” is an upbeat and undoubtedly ‘country’ jam in which he compares his love for his girl to his love for country music. He even references several country music icons such as Alan Jackson, Willie Nelson, George Jones, Johnny Cash, and Brooks & Dunn.

“You get me high as Willie, girl // You get me gone as Jones // You turn me on as much as I turn on my radio // Let’s take our time, walk the line // Kinda like Johnny and June did // Yeah, let’s do this // Baby, I love you like I love country music”

This name-dropping trend has become very popular in county music over the last few years. Other songs like this include Lauren Alaina’s “Ladies In The 90s;” Old Dominion’s “Song For Another Time;” Walker Hayes’ “90s Country;” Zac Brown Band’s “Old Love Song;” and Thomas Rhett’s “What’s Your Country Song.” It seems Brown and his co-writers (Matthew McGinn, Taylor Phillips, and Jordan Schmidt) wanted in on the fun of writing a puzzle-building piece like this. If released to radio, we could see this catchy tune topping the charts!

Brown left his comfort zone when he first started collaborating with artists outside the genre, but now since that’s become almost the norm for him, it is almost like making a pure country song with pounding electric guitar and a fiddle solo is uncharacteristic. It is really exciting to see him have success on both sides of the fence and says a lot about his musical creativity and talent.

With double albums also becoming a trend, it would be cool to see him release a record where one side of the vinyl has pop tunes, and the other has country tracks like this one. Speaking of albums, Brown must be close to one, with several standalone singles such as “Leave You Alone,” “Whiskey Sour,” “Blessed and Free” with H.E.R., “Memory” with blackbear, and his recent number-one “One Mississippi.” His latest project was Mixtape, Vol. 1, which came out in August of 2020. His last full-length album was 2018’s Experiment.

The second leg of Brown’s Blessed and Free Tour continues tomorrow in his hometown of Chattanooga. It hits the Tri-State area on June 4th with back-to-back shows at Mohegan Sun Arena in Connecticut. He also just announced a Canadian, Australian, and European Tour starting in September. For tickets, head to his website.
