ACM Entertainer of the Year nominee Thomas Rhett released a new song Monday afternoon called “Be A Light”, featuring Reba McEntire, Keith Urban, Lady Antebellum’s Hillary Scott, and Christian singer Chris Tomlin. Rhett confessed during his Instagram Live mini-concert on Monday that he wrote this song last year and he’s thankful that his label allowed him to release it ahead of schedule. “We weren’t supposed to release this now but I really felt like this song needed to come out today.” All of the proceeds of this song are going to the COVID-19 Relief Fund for MusiCares. Administered through MusiCares, the COVID-19 Fund will be used to directly support those in the music community with the greatest need.

“In a world full of hate, be a light / when you do somebody wrong, make it right / Don’t hide in the dark, you were born to shine / In a world full of hate, be a light”
This is the kind of encouragement we need in our world right now. It’s easy to be a downer and to think negatively about everything but it’s only making matters worse. Even in the darkest of time, there is always some good, and Thomas Rhett and company help us realize that.
