Sam Hunt is Back with Brand New Song “Kinfolks”

Sam Hunt Kinfolks

After a hiatus from the music industry, Sam Hunt is back with a brand new song, “Kinfolks”, which made it’s world premiere today (October 10th). The award-winning singer-songwriter co-wrote the new track with Zach Crowell, Jerry Flowers, and Josh Osborne and it will officially impact country radio on Monday, October 14th.

Hunt has been teasing the new music all week on social media, and sonically, “Kinfolks” channels the signature R&B infused country that he has perfected over the years with smash hits like “Body Like A Backroad”, “Ex To See” and “Leave The Night On”. The story unfolds of wanting to bring a new relationship home, maybe for the first time, and introduce them to everyone you love who has been there from the start.

“When I think of ‘kinfolks,’ when I think of that phrase,” says Hunt in a press release, “I think of my family, but also I think of my people back home – beyond family. It’s my buddies who’ve been a part of my story from the beginning. I’ve made a lot of new friends and met a lot of new people who are important to me since I’ve moved away, but that core group is still my core group. It’s like that old saying, ‘you can’t make old friends.’”

Hunt is currently in the studio finishing up his latest project which can be expected in the new year. “Kinfolks” follows a teaser of music that the multi-platinum selling premiered “Sinning With You” during his Bud Light House Party Tour in Calgary on September 19th.

Luke Combs Releases Title Track to Album, “What You See Is What You Get”

Luke Combs What you SEe is what you get

The much anticipated sophomore album release from country superstar, Luke Combs, is right around the corner— exactly a month from today. This morning he released the title track off the album “What You See Is What You Get.”  The track is unapologetically Combs, talking about how he is exactly who he is and you better believe he won’t apologize for it. It’s something we’ve come to love about the singer-songwriter. He brings a feel good upbeat tune with lyrics that are simple yet catchy.

“I’m a straight shooting / Beer drinking, rule breaking / Don’t think I won’t take a good thing too far / I’m a midnighting, backsliding / Getaway car driving / Running away with your heart / I guess, be careful what you wish for, is all I meant when I said // What you see is what you get”

You can catch Combs on the road on his Beer Never Broke My Heart Tour featuring Jameson Rodgers, Ray Fulcher, Morgan Wallen and the Cadillac Three on various dates this fall.

The full track listing for his album, releasing November 8th, includes songs with both Eric Church and Brooks & Dunn.

5. “Moon Over Mexico”
6. “1, 2 Many” (feat. Brooks & Dunn)
7. “Blue Collar Boys”
8. “New Every Day”

It’s Here! Thomas Rhett’s Next Single “Look What God Gave Her”

Look What God Gave Her

Multi-platinum selling performer, Thomas Rhett dropped his new romantic but groovy single “Look What God Gave Her” today. Fans can expect to hear this song, as well as some more highly anticipated music from Rhett this weekend on Saturday Night Live.

“Look What God Gave Her” is the perfect example of Rhett’s take on fusing other genres with country, which is described in a recent press release as “electro-country”. “I think I played this song 2,000 times in a month after we first wrote it,” he said in a recent press release. “It makes me want to dance. It makes me want to move.”

Rhett blows us away with another song inspired by his wife Lauren but this time with a more up-tempo vibe. “My wife is so beautiful, but at the same time she’s inwardly beautiful, she’s funny, she’s kind, she’s the best mom I know…and she’s hilarious. It’s really just about thanking God for the human being he made, and singing it in a fun way.”

The single is also a perfect first taste of what’s to come from Rhett. He describes the new upbeat tune as “the perfect song to take fans into summer.” The song was co-written by Rhett, alongside his talented, hit-making father Rhett Akins, as well as Julian Bunetta, John Ryan, and J Cash.

Fans also got the news today that we can expect a fourth album titled Center Point Road from the singer in May and it is available for pre-order here.

More info is expected to be revealed soon about the forthcoming studio album. The title Center Point Road was inspired by the street in his Tennessee hometown that shaped and influenced much of his life experiences. The singer-songwriter also stated in the press release that he finds himself “getting back to his roots.”

Once Rhett wraps up his current Life Changes tour in Canada, the Very Hot Summer Tour will begin. New Yorkers can catch Rhett, along with openers Dustin Lynch, Russell Dickerson, and Rhett Akins in Holmdel, New Jersey at PNC Banks Art Center, and New York at Madison Square Garden.
