Luke Combs Releases New Song Ahead of Album “Joe”

Luke Combs shares brand new song “Joe,” out now, February 24th, on all streaming platforms. Listen to the brand new track below.

All the way back in April of 2021, Luke Combs premiered a brand new unreleased song at the Grand Ole Opry. He called the tune, “Joe.” Today, the superstar is finally releasing the heartbreakingly beautiful track for fans to listen to again and again.

Combs uses his voice to share a powerful story of a blue-collar worker and his redemption and recovery from alcoholism. A simple and quiet song, “Joe” is a top-notch storytelling number in country music. Combs’ rich voice and stellar delivery make you want to hang on to every lyric. On a broader scale, “Joe” is a story about redemption and struggle, something we can all relate to.

“Thank the Lord every morning with a sweet Amen // For how far I’ve come from where I’ve been // So here’s to good days and a better tomorrow // And a light at the end of the bottle”

There is truly no stopping Combs. It seems every single thing he touches is a hit, and “Joe” fits that prerequisite. Combs knows how to craft a story, sing a song, and of course, make everyone feel loved and understood through his honest delivery.

Luke Combs Drops Heartfelt New Song “Love You Anyway”

Luke Combs shares new song “Love You Anyway,” out now, February 10th, on all streaming platforms. Listen to the brand new track below.

Everything Luke Combs touches sky rockets to the top of the charts and goes platinum seemingly in a manner of minutes. While some naysayers might argue this point, it is hard to argue that Combs knows how to crank out good music that relates to his fans. Today, he is proving that point yet again. His brand new song, “Love You Anyway” is officially out now.

The heartfelt new song already has the presence to be a hit for Combs. The singer-songwriter teased the track last month, leading fans to beg for its release. “Love You Anyway” is a declaration to loving without boundaries and walls. The song expresses the type of love we all truly desire, only Combs has been able too put it into words.

“There’s just some things that leave a man no choice // Like a compass needle needing its true north // Even if I knew the day we met you’d be the reason this heart breaks // Oh, I’d love you anyway”

Luke Combs Shares New Music “Growin’ Up and Gettin’ Old”

Luke Combs shares new music with new song “Growin’ Up and Gettin’ Old”, out now, January 27th, on all streaming platforms. Listen to the brand new track below.

Country superstar, Luke Combs’ third album, Growin’ Up dropped just last summer, and he recently surprised fans with the announcement of his next project, a fourth album coming March 24th. Earlier this week, Combs surprised fans yet again revealing the name of the project: Gettin’ Old. This follow-up record works in companionship with his collection of the previous eleven songs on Growin’ UpToday, Combs released the first song off the album, appropriately titled, “Growin’ Up and Gettin’ Old.”

Sonically, this track is classic Luke Combs. Lyrically, it is something everyone in their late twenties/early thirties can relate to. The song is all about slowly phasing out the partying and spending more ‘happy hours’ at home. Combs has made a career singing about good times at the honkytonk, but as he gets older, the more that lifestyle fades aways. He mentions he can still turn it up when he’s feeling up to it, but he must do it smartly or he will be full of regrets tomorrow.

“I can still raise hell all night with the boys when I want // Lay that hammer down to see how fast she’ll go // But these days I hang my hat on what I won’t do // I’ve been finding peace of mind slowing my roll // Learn to toe that line with time as it goes // In the middle of growing up and getting old”

Combs’ third studio album, ‘Gettin’ Old’ is slated for release on March 24th. It will feature eighteen tracks.

Combs begins his massive World Tour in March with supporting acts Riley Green, Lainey Wilson, Cody Johnson, Flatland Calvary, and more, where he will play the largest stadiums and arenas around the globe. For tickets, head to his website.

In his incredible career, Luke Combs has certified himself as a bonafide superstar. With a killer catalog of songs to choose from, we are sharing our favorites that did not quite make it to country radio. Here are 5 Luke Combs songs that should have been singles.

  1. “This One’s for You” – This One’s for You

One of our favorite songs off Combs’ debut project just so happens to be the title track. The song is one of the most vulnerable songs in the singer-songwriter’s collection, and it would have made an incredible radio single!

  1. “Blue Collar Boys” – What You See Is What You Get

This fun-loving song on his sophomore record is the perfect summer day country song. Paying homage to blue-collar workers is as country as it gets!

  1. “Must’ve Never Met You” – This One’s for You

Another classic, Combs pours his heart out on this enticing break-up song. If you have ever been to a live show then you know that fans go crazy for this song.

  1. “Refrigerator Door” – What You See Is What You Get

When What You See Is What You Get, “Refrigerator Door” was a standout track on the album. Heartwarming and courageous, Combs’ song would have been sure to make it to the top of the charts.

  1. “I Got Away with You” – This One’s for You

“I Got Away With You” rounds out our list of songs that should have been singles. The romantic song fits in with the collection of incredible love songs that have hit number one on the country charts.

The 56th Annual CMA Awards Recap ft. Luke Combs, Lainey Wilson & More

Here is the 56th Annual CMA Awards recap featuring big wins by country superstars Luke Combs, Lainey Wilson, and more.

56th-cma-awards-2022

The 56th Annual CMA Awards took place last night (November 9th), returning to the iconic Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, Tennessee. Hosted by Luke Bryan and Peyton Manning, this show was all about uniting fans and country artists with our favorite music genre and honoring the greats that paved the way. For a full list of all of the nominations and winners, click here.

The show began with a medley of hits, celebrating the late, great Loretta Lynn. Carrie Underwood, Miranda Lambert, and Reba McEntire took to the stage delivering an incredible performance of Lynn’s classics like, “You’re Looking at Country” and “Coal Miner’s Daughter.” Carly Pearce also honored Lynn with her incredible song, “Dear Miss Loretta,” later in the show.

Shortly after, the CMA’s hosted another incredible female-led performance of Ashley McBryde’s killer album Lindeville. Artists like John Osborne, Brandy Clark, Caylee Hammack, and Pillbox Patti joined her on stage.

With a quick introduction, first-time CMA awards winner for Video of the Year, Cody Johnson graced the stage next, singing an electric rendition of his hit song, “‘Til You Can’t.” Similarly, Cole Swindell took to the stage to sing his latest number-one hit, “She Had Me At Heads Carolina.” Of course, he brought out Jo Dee Messina to sing with him. Lambert also returned to sing her new song, “Geraldene” and Underwood with, “Hate My Heart.”

The star-studded event continued with a killer performance from Luke Combs. The Entertainer of the Year nominee blew fans away, singing his song, “The Kind of Love We Make.” The other Luke, Luke Bryan also performed his current single, “Country On” later on in the show. The night continued with performances by Zac Brown Band, who sang their song “Out In The Middle” and an exciting duet by Thomas Rhett and Katy Perry. The latter duo sang their new song, “Where We Started,” a country-pop medley, begging for radio play.

However, HARDY and Lainey Wilson may have given arguably one of the best performances of the night with their song “wait in the truck.” The eerie ballad came to life, as the two New Artist of the Year nominees sang their hearts out, receiving a huge applause and standing ovation from the audience. Next up, Morgan Wallen, an Entertainer of the Year nominee, also showed up to perform his hit song, “You Proof.”

The CMA Awards continued to showcase collaborations throughout the night. Kelly Clarkson and Carly Pearce joined Kelsea Ballerini on stage to sing “YOU’RE DRUNK, GO HOME.” The threesome brought their sassy energy and huge vocal chops to the country music stage.

Another highlight of the night is when Chris and Morgane Stapleton took the stage with none other than the iconic, Patty Loveless. An incredibly harrowing performance, the collaborators sang Loveless’ “You’ll Never Leave Harlan Alive,” getting each and every artist on their feet celebrating the performance with them.

Country music artists continued to celebrate the icons that came before them both in and out of the genre. Brothers Osborne took the stage with The War and Treaty to celebrate the forthcoming tribute album, Stoned Cold Country for The Rolling Stones, coming in 2023, while Elle King joined by The Black Keys and celebrated the late hall of fame, Jerry Lee Lewis.

Of course, the night would not be complete without the monumental tribute to Alan Jackson, who was the newest recipient of the Willie Nelson Lifetime Achievement Award. Carrie Underwood strutted onto the stage to announce the icon, even singing a little something. Dierks Bentley, Jon Pardi, and Lainey Wilson shared the stage to celebrate Jackson’s career. They sang songs like, “Chattahoochee,” “Drive (For Daddy Gene),” and “Chasin’ That Neon Rainbow.” Jackson, himself also sang his song, “Don’t Rock The Jukebox.”

Overall the 56th CMA Awards were a great night for country music. The show came back to its roots, mixing the new country music sounds with more traditional country, proving that we can all love the genre together.
