Old Dominion Perform Their Latest Single “Make It Sweet” on Ellen
Academy of Country Music Award-winning country group, Old Dominion, made their second appearance on The Ellen DeGeneres Show this afternoon, first appearing in 2017 performing their number one single, “Song For Another Time.” This time around, they performed the television debut of their new lead single, “Make It Sweet,” from their upcoming third studio album.
Before taking the stage to perform their feel-good song, Ellen came out to introduce the group to the audience. The walls then sliding opening to reveal the five members of the group (Matthew Ramsey, Brad Tursi, Trevor Rosen, Geoff Sprung, Whit Sellers) while showing the stunning scenery straight from the music video behind them. The new upbeat live-in-the-moment single had the audience out of their seats clapping along with lead singer, Ramsey. Taking in every second, the infectious tune is nothing short of a hit from the vocals to the guitar solo, ending the performance on a high note with the crowd erupting in cheers.
That wasn’t all for the audience members at Ellen, Old Dominion had a huge surprise up their sleeves. Ramsey started the announcement by saying, “We are super stoked because there’s a beautiful, epic, country music festival that happens here in California, it’s called Stagecoach. A lot of people like Luke Bryan and Jason Aldean and Sam Hunt and us, so we’re excited to play it this year.” As the crowd began cheering, DeGeneres went on telling the audience about tickets but ended with the surprise saying, “Thanks to Old Dominion, and Golden Voice, you’re all getting a $350 pass to a three-day Stagecoach Music Festival.” The audience couldn’t contain their excitement as they were seen jumping up and down screaming.
Old Dominion is currently on the ‘Happy Endings Tour’ with special guests High Valley. The tour won’t be making their way to New York but will be in Atlantic City, New Jersey on October 25th at Hard Rock Live at Etess Arena.
