He started off the year landing his first number one single with his song, “Whiskey On You.” Today, the singer-songwriter adds to his catalog of hits, earning himself a second number one single at country radio. His song, “World On Fire” is officially the number one song this week.
Written by Smith with Ashley Gorley, Taylor Phillips and Lindsay Rimes, ‘World On Fire” has been a fan-favorite since day one. The song depicts the end of a relationship, with sweeping symbolism embedded throughout the track. “World On Fire” demands your attention from the first note, making it clear why the song did so well at country radio this year.
