Country-rock rising star, Kolby Cooper continues to deliver high-energy and vulnerable music. The singer-songwriter is building a name for himself in the country music genre with his growing catalog of music, one song at a time. Today, Cooper is sharing his newest song to date, “Under My Skin” in conjunction with the news that his upcoming project Love You, Goodnight will be out on April 11th.
Written by the singer with Josh Door, and Riley Thompson, “Under My Skin” is a anthemic new song about getting your heart broken and still letting your ex back in. Despite the hurt you might endure, the rush of your ex returning feels thrilling and right in the moment. Cooper’s unique vocals accompany the lyrics of the song perfectly.
“Do I want you right now // Baby girl you’re damn right // There’s a key underneath the stairs // You can let yourself in // And come ruin my night // Make it hurt baby I don’t care // Break my heart all over again // Get back in my arms, get under my skin // Wake me up round’ 2:00AM. // Get out of that bar get into my bed // I think the crazy you make me could fix the missing you // Don’t leave me wasting my whiskey sitting where wishing you’d // Break my heart all over again, get back in may arms, get under my skin”
