Jimmie Allen Lends His Voice to Rolling Stones Classic “Miss You”

Jimmie Allen covers The Rolling Stones classic hit, “Miss You” out today on all streaming platforms. Listen to the brand-new track below.

In honor of the 60th Anniversary of The Rolling Stones, country music is celebrating with a tribute album called Stoned Cold Country. Country artists celebrate the legacy of The Rolling Stones through fourteen distinct covers of some of their greatest hits. Last year, Brothers Osborne and The War and Treaty gave their best rendition of the classic, “It’s Only Rock ‘N’ Roll (But I Like It)” and Elvie Shane shared his version of “Sympathy For The Devil” earlier this year.  Today, country star, Jimmie Allen lends his voice to the classic Rolling Stones song, “Miss You.”

Allen’s version of “Miss You,” starts off with a killer banjo moment that the song was begging for. The singer’s smooth and honest vocals also lend themselves well to the classic. While the original version has a more rock appeal, Allen’s version feels perfectly poised for a country-rock anthem with a touch of soul.

Fans can expect the full-length album, Stoned Cold Country, coming later this year. The record will feature even more iconic covers from some of your favorite artists like Zac Brown Band, Elle King, Brooks & Dunn, Ashley McBryde, and more. We look forward to hearing more tunes this year, and of course, more unexpected collaborations.
