George Birge Shares New Song “It Ain’t Austin” Out Now

George Birge shares new song, “It Ain’t Austin,” officially out now, May 22nd on all streaming platforms. Listen to the new track below.

With a new 7-song EP releasing on April 5th called Cowboy Songs, George Birge is proving that 2024 is going to be his year. The singer-songwriter continues to bridge the gap between Texas-country music and more modern-country, while making sure to keep with his signature sound. Today, the singer gives fans a taste of the upcoming project with a new song called, “It Ain’t Austin.”

The new ballad reveals a deeper side to the singer, as he longs for a relationship that has run its course. Written by Birge with Paul DiGiovanni and Joe Clemmons, “It Ain’t Austin” reminds us all of how hard it came be to move on, even when things are going good. The song is a perfect expample of emotions and nostalgia all wrapped up in a catchy hook and melody.

“Bet you heard I headed north // that 150 loaded down // Don’t know what I’m looking for // but it all looks different now // I ain’t’ used to the weather // and they ain’t used my accent // but I started going out // and I’ve made a couple friends // Things are looking up // I’m letting go a little bit // but no matter how comfortable I get // it ain’t Austin // It ain’t us, it ain’t three months in love // tequila drunk in the Texas sun”

Birge’s new song is impressive, and we are excited to see what comes down the pipeline next for the emerging star.
