Cody Johnson’s Song “Dirt Cheap” Goes Number One At Country Radio

Superstar, Cody Johnson earns his third number one song at country radio with “Dirt Cheap.” Learn more here…

Warner Music Nashville Platinum recording artist, Cody Johnson truly never misses. Country radio is finally showing him the love he deserves. He earned his first radio single with “‘Til You Can’t” back in 2022 and his 2nd number one with “The Painter” earlier this year. Today, Johnson adds to his streak with his third number one single, “Dirt Cheap.”

“Dirt Cheap” is Johnson’s second single off his album Leather. The track is a nostalgic story about selling land, memories, farm-life, and everything in between. While the song was originally intended for Luke Combs, it is hard to imagine anyone besides Johnson cutting this beautiful, story-telling country song.

“‘Cause I got a little girl that used to swing right there // I still see her pink bow in her brown hair // She’s in the big city, but she still calls home // What’s she gonna do if she comes back, and we’re gone? // And over there, under that wide oak tree // Beneath the cross is where my best buddy’s buried // Lasted 13 huntin’ season runnin’ strong // Keep your money ’cause a man can’t leave his dog // And over there is where I got down on one knee // You can’t buy that kind of dirt cheap”

Congrats to Johnson and his team on an incredible feat. We are excited to see what’s next for Johnson. We are sure there are many more number ones to come!
