Florida Georgia Line Releases Title Track to Album “Life Rolls On”

Florida Georgia Line’s new song, “Life Rolls On” is available now, January 15th, on all streaming platforms. Following several songs pre-released off the upcoming album, this title-track has us anxiously waiting for the remaining tracks to complete this already outstanding album, due out February 12th.

“Life Rolls On” gives off major back-porch and campfire vibes. This soothing and peaceful song will still get your feet stomping and your hands-clapping. While other songs lately have reminded us of what we’re still going through, this one’s encouraging us to look ahead to the bright side. 

“This world will keep turning / The bonfires will keep burning / And I don’t know what God’s thinking of but where we are is where we belong / Oh and I know / It might be all right / It might be all wrong / But life rolls on / And on and on and on”

Without overlooking that the dark times are still with us, this song reminds us that when you survive tough times, you end up stronger on the other side. 

“As long as my hearts beating / And these old lungs keep breathing / The highs and the lows / The yes and the no’s / Only gonna make us strong”

“Life Goes On” is the perfect title-track to lead an album coming out of this pandemic. The positivity that emerges from this song despite the circumstances that caused it will undoubtedly find its way into the remaining tracks of the album.

The duo has been incredibly busy while leading up to their 16-track album release next month. They just released another single, “New Truck”, on the album last week. This was in addition to seven other songs already released including the current Top 15 Single “Long Live”  and 6 tracks that were originally released on the 6-pack EP which included “Second Guessing” from Songland and  “I Love My Country”, FGL’s 17th number one song.

They’ve also been featured on multiple songs with friends including “Drinkin’ Beer Talkin’ God Amen” with Chase Rice, “It’s About Time”  with Russell Dickerson, “Lil’ Bit”  with Nelly. They were heavily involved in the making of the collaboration album Chris Tomlin and Friends, singing songs “Forever Home”, “Thank You Lord” with Thomas Rhett, and “Sing” with Russell Dickerson. Hubbard even released his first solo track, a collaboration with Tim McGraw titled “Undivided”  just this week. The duo has also been hosting a radio show “FGL House Party Radio” on Apple Music Radio every other week, seven episodes so far. 

Despite the recent announcement that the duo will be releasing solo-music this year, it is clear there is no slowing down on their work together with FGL and Tree Vibez Music, a publishing company founded by the duo, where they work with fellow singer-songwriters Jordan Schmidt, Corey Crowder, RaeLynn, Canaan Smith, and Chris Loocke and more, acting as a large source of their many collabs with other writers.

It has been three years since singer-songwriter Devin Dawson graced music fans everywhere with his debut record Dark Horse. The soulful crooner proved right then and there that he was going to continue to make great music throughout his blossoming career. Flash forward to today, we finally have a brand new EP to dig in to, Dawson’s latest project The Pink Slip EP.

Keeping up with his soulful, eclectic, and edgy vibes, the collection of music proves that Dawson knows exactly who he is as an artist. The six-song project features heartfelt lyrics, groovy instrumentals, and a whole lot of heart. Opening up with two out of the three previously released songs, “Range Rover” and “I Got A Truck,” Dawson showcases his talent and charm right off the bat.

“Range Rover” depicts a story of a girl that everyone thinks is perfect, but in actuality, she is a gold digger. Without saying it per se, Dawson finds a way to convey that message pretty clearly through the hooky song. With a killer production to back the lyrics, Dawson creates something innovative and unique.

“I Got A Truck” is just as anthemic, featuring truth-telling and a meticulous knack for song-writing. We first got a taste of the incredible song two years ago at his sold-out show at the Bowery Ballroom and learned about the song’s evolution from a true story about Tim McGraw to now.

“I tricked myself into writing a song for myself. […] It’s become more evident every single time I play it now that it’s part of my repertoire. I was writing a song about his [McGraw] life, but it’s also about my life too, and the parallels between it,” shared Dawson in a recent conversation with our Managing Editor, Christina. Check out the full virtual interview in the video above.

“Not On My Watch” continues the standing your ground mentality that was fermented in the opening tracks. Dawson once again proves that he knows how to create songs that personify all sorts of emotions.

The next set of tracks off the new project lean into a more romantic and vulnerable side of the singer. One of our favorites, “Whatever Forever Is” is all about that one of a kind love that led him to his wife. “I used to write love songs about where I wanted to be and now I write love songs about where I’m at,” shared Dawson in our virtual interview. The statement is a perfect statement to describe “Whatever Forever Is”.

Next up, “He Loved Her” is the last song Dawson pre-released prior to the record drop date. The song honors his grandfather, calling it “one of the most important songs [that he] has ever written or released.” Infused with funky beats, when stripped down, “He Loved Her” is true-blue country music, story-telling at it’s finest.

Finally, the record ends with “Whose Gonna Hold Ya.” The song is as rhythmically pleasing as the lyrics are catchy. Inspired from thinking about faith and fidelity, Dawson finds a way to resonate with fans, while still remaining true to his authentic roots as an artist.

You can really picture the singer-songwriter just jamming with his friends and the excitement on his face, while this project came to fruition. It is clear that our dark horse has found a semblance of peace and happiness. The Pink Slip EP represents the evolution of Dawson, and we are here for it!

Seaforth Drops Brand New Heartwrenching Song “Breakups”

Australian pop-country duo, Seaforth released another new track titled “Breakups” today, January 15th, available on all streaming platforms. Written by the band members Mitch Thompson and Tom Jordan, along with Liz Rose and Cameron Bedell, this somber song can heavily relate to those who ended a relationship with someone they not only loved but considered their best friend.

The song’s plot is set around a man who is a few drinks in at a bar late at night. He cannot stop thinking about the one who got away and is close to shooting her a message, even though the end result is always negative.

The duo’s harmonies throughout the track deliver the message so beautifully and make it hard not to feel sad for this fictional person. Breakups are tough on both parties but are always more difficult for the one who was broken up with, especially when you felt they were more of a friend than a lover. The man even winds up getting another girl’s number, but cannot leave with her because his heart is still in too much pain from the last relationship.

Thompson and Jordan sing the first half of the song over nothing but a light piano and acoustic guitar, but the production gradually increases in the second and third choruses, building the drama and emotion even more.

With plenty of new releases over the past seven months, Seaforth gives fans reason to believe that they must be nearing their debut album. Along with “Breakups,” the duo has put out catchy tracks like “Close Enough,” and “Everything Falls For You.” They also have four songs from their Love That EP, which came out in April of 2019. While we eagerly await a full project, in the meantime, fans can enjoy the covers they sing and the comical videos they post on their Instagram page.

Morgan Wallen LIVE From The Ryman – A Full Recap

Country break-out superstar, Morgan Wallen released his highly anticipated sophomore double album, Dangerous last Friday. Within three days, it pulled in over 100 million streams, which is the most single-week on-demand audio streams for a country album in history. He celebrated this tremendous feat with a live show at the Ryman Auditorium in Nashville in front of real, non-cardboard, socially-distanced fans. Viewers at home could stream it live on Facebook and YouTube.

The crowd of only a few hundred sounded like a few thousand when the curtains drew and Wallen was alone on stage with his piano. The heart-wrenching “Sand in My Boots” may be a slow song and an odd choice for a show opener to get the crowd into it, but the fans did not seem to mind, as a sense of magic gloomed over the excited crowd – just happy to finally be seeing a live show again featuring their favorite artist. When that song was over, the full band took the stage and gave the audience a more traditional opening as Wallen sang the more rocking “Somethin’ Country.” The long break from touring did not seem to affect Wallen’s vocal stamina as he rapped the chorus effortlessly.

The singer-songwriter stopped for a moment to take in the whole scene as if already knowing he was living through a very special part of his own history. Wallen told the crowd, which included his family, members of his team, and members of his fan club that this was a special night, not only because it was his first show since March, but it was his first time headlining the legendary Ryman Auditorium. He also informed the crowd that he will be playing all new songs and “if you came to hear our old stuff, you’re in the wrong place.” He followed the speech with a performance of “Dangerous”, the title track off the double album.

Wallen kept the party going with more songs from the fun, second half of the album including “Still Goin Down” and “Beer Don’t” but also sprinkled in a lot of songs from his more emotional first half such as “Wasted on You” and “Neon Eyes.” He admitted that “Wasted on You” was one of his favorites and most personal songs on the record, and was humbled to see it is one of the most-streamed songs so far.

“My first album, it kind of got rushed out a little bit just because I was out on the road touring and I had to go back and forth trying to get it done. But with this one I got to be home, I got to be more a part of it, so this one feels more like my baby,” Wallen confessed. “I’m a little bit closer to this album than I was the first and I hope you guys end up closer to it as well.” Next, he performed a song that admittedly wasn’t exactly something he had experienced, but a beautiful story nonetheless called “Silverado for Sale.”

Throughout the album, Wallen is very sentimental towards his hometowns of Sneedville and Knoxville, Tennessee. This is apparent on many songs such as “Rednecks, Red Letters, Red Dirt” and “865,” both of which he performed during the show. The latter is already a fan-favorite, as many audience members made it apparent that they already had the phone number memorized.

After a fiery performance of “Warning,” Ben Burgess came on stage to sing “Outlaw” with Wallen. Burgess was rocking a Tennessee Orange western shirt, matching Wallen’s Tennessee Orange long sleeve and signature cut-sleeve flannel.

Wallen performed his first number-one song off the album “More Than My Hometown” before exiting the stage for the first time since the start of his nearly hour and a half set. He came back out several minutes later for the encore and sang “Cover Me Up,” marking the official final performance of what was an incredible night for Wallen and his fans.

Wallen fit 19 songs total into his hour and fifteen-minute set, giving the fans in attendance and even the viewers at home the feeling of a real, live show– a feeling that we have all missed so dearly during the pandemic. It is comforting to know that there is now a vaccine out there and we are getting closer to having concerts back because there is no feeling that can match the rush of seeing your favorite artist take the stage in-person. Maren Morris and JP Saxe Team Up For Personal “Line By Line”

Maren Morris and JP Saxe have written two of the most vulnerable hits of the last year, so it makes sense that they joined forces on their new song, “Line By Line”, out now. Both masters at their craft, take a look below as we dive deeper into the brand new duet.

When everything paused in March, it felt like the end of the world. In some ways, it still does feel like that, but nonetheless, art has still found a way to be created and consumed. Over the past 10 months, it seems that singer-songwriters Maren Morris and JP Saxe are bigger than ever, thanks to Morris’ perfectly simple “The Bones” and Saxe’s vulnerable apocalyptic-love song “If The World Was Ending”.

“Line By Line”, co-written by Morris, Saxe, and Jimmy Robbins, blends the best parts of country and pop to create a sound that fits both of their voices well. A stunning electric guitar line guides you through the verses into the chorus effortlessly, doing so to keep the attention on the lyrics. Which makes perfect sense for this track, as it’s about the art of songwriting in the form of a love song.

“As songwriters, we spend a lot of our lives trying to bottle up a feeling into a song, and often, the biggest beelings, the best ones… the complicated, detailed, messy, incredible ones… just aren’t going to fit,” Saxe told the publication Idolator.

Saxe takes the first verse, and Morris follows on the second. Saxe sings about the songs he’ll never share with the world, like the songs about his parents that he can’t release, or the songs about his exes who don’t deserve his time. “When it comes to you, I’m still trying to find the words / Love too big for a love song / If I tried to sum it up I know I’d get it wrong”.

Both Saxe and Morris are in relationships with artists (Julia Michaels and Ryan Hurd), and in many ways, it feels as if they are singing to their significant others. Morris furthers this notion, singing, “Yeah we both know the way it works / Hear my fears all on the radio / There are things that I sing that I’ll never have the confidence to say”.

Maren Morris & JP Saxe Duet on “Line By Line”, available now

They sing together on the choruses about how hard it can be, to sum up, the biggest parts of life in song – the internalized pressure of figuring out what you want to say. “So I just take you line by line / Oh I’ll be writing about you for the rest of my life.” The idea that sometimes you can’t find the words for the most important things is incredibly universal, but because of their personal links to songwriting and musicians, it makes it just that much better and intimate. You can tell that in this case, this is exactly how they are feeling.

In July 2020, JP Saxe tweeted about how much he loved Morris’ music. She responded excitedly, stating that she loved his, and he said “we should maybe make one together sometimes cuz I’d love that a lot,” to which she said, “Let’s writtttte!” In September, they did just that, and “Line By Line” was born. We’re only in the first month of 2021, but thanks to a song like this one, no matter what, it is clear that life will never really pause; we’ll just take it day by day and line by line.

Tim McGraw & Tyler Hubbard Join Together For Meaningful Song, “Undivided”

Tim McGraw and Tyler Hubbard’s new song “Undivided” is out today, January 13th, along with an official behind-the-scenes music video of the two artists in the studio. Check it out below and read on for more as we dive a little deeper into the new track.

“Undivided” is a collaborative track from the two country superstars and includes a message that tackles social issues and a need for change. The song marks Hubbard’s first solo song separate from his Florida Georgia Line partner, Brian Kelley. The duo recently announced that the two will be releasing solo music this upcoming year. However, FGL fans have nothing to worry about as this is not news that the duo is going their separate ways permanently.

In fact, the duo’s fifth album, Life Rolls On, is arriving next month. The 16-track album already has eight released songs, including most recently, “New Truck” which was released last week. If anything, this news just means even more music from the voices that we already love. The two have simply used some unexpected time off to their advantage by continuing to write music and using the success they’ve had as a duo as an opportunity to experience solo music as well, and “Undivided” is just the start.

Tyler Hubbard and Tim McGraw’s Collaborative New Song “Undivided” is available now

This is actually not the first time Hubbard and McGraw have collaborated on a song before. In 2016, McGraw was featured on Florida Georgia Line’s “May We All”, which included an up-scale extended music video described as a ‘mini-movie’ that the three acted in. The single has since gone 3X Platinum and was included on the duo’s Dig Your Roots album.

Hubbard co-wrote “Undivided” with Chris Loocke while quarantined on his tour bus a few weeks back. (Check here for more on that story and some other songs Hubbard wrote on his bus). Hubbard says about the new song, “I knew immediately when I finished it, I had to text it to Tim. He has a way of communicating with the world that is unique in music”.

It makes sense why the “Humble and Kind” singer would connect with this song so much. McGraw has said before that that is one of his favorite songs to perform, and that it is one that he has often gone back to throughout tough times, especially this year. He explains that “Music gives us hope and brings us together in a way nothing else can. This doesn’t mean we don’t have work to do. Quite the opposite”. Once McGraw heard what Hubbard had sent him, he knew he wanted to be a part of this special song. He shared, “I loved the positivity of this song and that it called me to check myself and to remember that love is bigger. It’s why I knew this song had to be my next single with Tyler as soon as he sent it to me.” McGraw enjoyed singing and sharing this song with Hubbard so much that he has included it on the deluxe version of his album Here On Earth. The #1 album was originally released in August of 2020 and the deluxe version is slated for release in April 2021. 

There is no question that the state of our country and the events of this past year were weighing heavy on Hubbard’s mind when he wrote this song. Since “Undivided” was in fact a by-product of Hubbard’s tour bus quarantine writing, he had plenty of time to do some soul searching. Hubbard was examining his own ability to judge too quickly, but rather than writing a somber song that would feel sadly relatable in this time, he instead turned those same thoughts and emotions into a song of hope and faith. 

The song starts off with a realization that so much in this world is based on predetermined notions. A story of a kid who isn’t accepted for who they are demonstrates how so many assumptions and misconceptions are just people and their judgments being set in their ways, without room for further consideration or thought.

“In the seventh grade you either fit right in or you don’t fit / that’s just the cold hard truth”

It’s one thing to recognize this, and another to be determined for it to change. This story builds to be a metaphor of everything having to be divided into either one thing or another – black or white, church or hell, left or right, yes or no – with no option for anything in between or something entirely different. They’re showing us that not everything in society has to be one or the other and something being one way doesn’t have to create such a strong split among us.

“When we gonna learn to try on someone’s shoes sometimes / when we gonna see from someone else’s eyes”

We’re living in some tough times right now, but it’s songs like these and meaningful songwriting like Tyler Hubbard’s that helps get us through and makes us believe we won’t be in them forever. He realizes the importance of believing in the positive and being hopeful that change is coming and portrays those beliefs in his music.

“I think it’s time to come together, you and I can make a change / maybe we can make a difference, make the world a better place / look around and love somebody, we’ve been hateful long enough / let the good Lord reunite us til this country that we love is undivided” 

For Florida Georgia Line, the duo released two songs recently with their good friends Nelly, “Lil Bit“ and Russell Dickerson, “It’s About Time” which is also on Dickerson’s new album, Southern Symphony.

In November, McGraw released a Greatest Hits Album, including hits from 2013-2019.

Florida Georgia Line Release “New Truck” Ahead of Forthcoming Album

Florida Georgia Line’s new song, “New Truck” is available now, January 8th, on all streaming platforms. Take a look below as we dig a little deeper into the track.

Off their upcoming fifth studio album Life Rolls On, Florida Georgia Line’s latest release, “New Truck,” is co-written by Tyler Hubbard and Brian Kelley, along with Corey Crowder, Jeff Gitelman, Raysean Hairston, Blake Redferrin, and Priscilla Renea. This track could fall into the ‘trap country’ genre as Hubbard and Kelley rap the verses over a thumping bass beat. The playful tune is a catchy song that is fun to sing along to and will certainly become a fan-favorite when live shows return. It also comes along with a comical, retro-themed video. Check it out above.

“With “New Truck” we were like, ‘Man, this feels good. I just want to ride around in my truck, listen to this, and have a song to jam to,’” Hubbard shared in a recent press release. “When any of our buddies get a new truck now, we can send it to them and say, ‘Yo, bump this in the truck!’”

The release of this energetic song is not the only reason Florida Georgia Line made headlines in early 2021. In a post to their fans, The six-time ACM award-winning duo announced that they will be focusing on music outside of Florida Georgia Line after the release of Life Rolls On, but ensured they are not “breaking up.” Rumors began swirling when Hubbard and Kelley unfollowed each other on Instagram in the midst of the presidential election.

Hubbard later confirmed those reports were false and the only reason for the temporary unfollowing was to due political differences. The two acknowledged the rumors and refuted them in their announcement video. Kelley admitted he always had aspirations of putting out a solo album, and Hubbard revealed he will be collaborating with other artists in the near future, including Tim McGraw on a new song titled “Undivided” out this Wednesday, January 13th.

“We’ve been on a 10-year journey together and we wouldn’t change it for the world,” Hubbard said in the video. “We’re going to continue to make music as much we can—as a matter of fact, we’re probably going to be making even more music now. We created this freedom around ourselves where we can do whatever we want to do, creatively and musically….It’s a beautiful place to venture out and have a voice of our own and have an individuality.”

Fans have nothing to worry about as Hubbard and Kelley left the door very open for future Florida Georgia Line projects. They also promised they will continue to tour together and play all the hits that made them not only the most popular duo in the 2010s, but one of the most colorful acts in country music as a whole.

Life Rolls On drops on February 12th, and will feature the six songs on The 6-Pack EP and their current top-20 single, “Long Live.” Hubbard and Kelley helped produce all sixteen songs with Corey Crowder and co-wrote thirteen of them. See the track listing below:

Teddy Robb Supports “be kind.” Campaign with Virtual Show

As 2020 came to an end, we joined forces with radio station New York’s Country 94.7 and singer-songwriter Teddy Robb to help provide comfort and warmth to those in need during the holiday season. For each purchase of our ‘be kind.’ beanie, we donated another to homeless shelters in New York City. Learn all about the project and even how our founder’s nephew, Bobby got involved to help us make a difference in the video below. The purchase also gave you access to an exclusive Teddy Robb show.

Wednesday (January 6th) was the special show with Robb and in these crazy times, it was nice to feel a little bit of normalcy with a live show, even if it was virtual on Zoom.

The concert started off with our own Stephanie Wagner and Christina Bosch along with Jesse Addy from New York’s Country 94.7 discussing teaming up for this wonderful cause. During the course of the campaign, we packed and shipped each order and sent several boxes of donated beanies to various homeless shelters in New York. A big shout out to anyone who purchased a beanie and helped complete our goal of donating over 250 beanies!

Robb then joined in and talked about what it meant for him to be a part of such a special campaign. Currently, Robb is promoting his first single to head to country radio, “Heaven On Dirt”. Throughout the entire campaign, the song could be heard on New York’s Country 94.7 while radio hosts reminded listeners of the special ‘be kind.’ initiative.

Getting ready for the set to start, the zoom room was a sea of guests rocking their special ‘be kind.’ pompom beanies. Teddy Robb started out just him and his guitar playing his song, “Me On You”, followed by “Lead Me On”. Robb then teased a brand new song, yet to be released “Whiskey Can’t”. Finishing out the night with his radio single “Heaven On Dirt”, everyone was dancing and singing along in their living rooms as if they were at their favorite concert venue.

One of our favorite parts of these exclusive zoom concerts is that the artist has the chance to really interact with their fans, watching their reaction to new music, shouting them out, and reading and answering questions through the chat. It gave fans a chance to really show their love for Teddy Robb and we loved seeing it!

We can’t thank Teddy Robb enough for teaming up with us and New York’s Country 94.7! Although the show has come and gone, we will keep the campaign running and continue to donate a beanie for each sold through the winter. Grab yours here.

10. Niko Moon – Already a hit songwriter, Niko Moon has written hits for Zac Brown Band including “Homegrown”, “Keep Me In Mind”, “Loving You Easy”, and many more. He released his first music as an artist in 2019 and in 2020 released feel-good tunes like “GOOD TIME” and “PARADISE TO ME”. 9. Tenille Arts – Just named one of CRS Class of 2021 New Faces, Tenille Arts continues to build up her fanbase by releasing catchy, relatable songs for country fans across the genre. Born in Canada, Arts made the move to Nashville and is proudly writing and recording music that is authentic to her artistry.

Drew Parker – Drew Parker has already had huge success as a songwriter in Nashville thus far, a co-writer on “1,2 Many”, “Lonely One”, and “Nothing Like You” with Luke Combs as well as Jake Owen’s “Homemade”. He is slated to open for Luke Combs on his 2021 tour and his current single “While You’re Gone” has racked up over 2 million streams since its release. ERNEST – Nashville native and Big Loud Records signee, ERNEST is a sought after songwriter in town, recently celebrating 3 number one hits, Morgan Wallen’s “More Than My Hometown”, Chris Lane’s “Big Big Plans”, as well as Florida Georgia Line’s “I Love My Country”. He also has 11 cuts on Wallen’s sophomore double album, Dangerous. His laid-back yet vibrant style is unique to the genre and he is poised to showcase his artistry this year.

6. Priscilla Block – After her song “Just About Over You”, based on a true story, went viral on TikTok and hit the top of the iTunes charts this sassy young singer-songwriter signed a record deal with Universal Music Group and is primed for success in 2021. Block’s body-positive anthem, “Thick Thighs” has garnered millions of views on TikTok as well and is securing her a grassroots grown fanbase.

5. Payton Smith – 20-year-old Louisana native, Payton Smith caught our attention during the Big Machine Label Group showcase back in February of 2020 during CRS.His incredible guitar skills and stage presence so early on in his career is one reason we included him on our list for 2021 but we know that fans will love his pop-country style.

4. Hailey Whitters – An artist and songwriter that we’ve had on our radar for the past few years, Hailey Whitters is an artist that stands out with her angelic voice and honest lyrics. Her song “Ten Year Town” about the struggles of the music industry and Nashville is what really put her on the map and her debut record The Dream boasts songs about the heartland, and how proud Whitters is of her roots.

1. Lily Rose – One of the artists that we are most excited to round out our list is undeniably Lily Rose. Her vocal will captivate the listener and “Villain” begs for repeat spins.
