Walker Hayes Drops Brand New Song “AA”

Walker Hayes’ brand new song “AA” is out now. The new track joins songs “Fancy Like” and “U Gurl” for the artist’s forthcoming project Country Stuff the Album, due out January 21, 2022. Learn more about the brand new track below.

Walker Hayes is still flying high on a breakout year. The success he received from “Fancy Like”, which officially went  No. 1 this month, allowed for him to release follow up singles like “U Gurl”, “AA”, AND announce his Fancy Like Tour for 2022.

“AA” is Hayes’ latest release off his forthcoming project, Country Stuff The Album. The artist released his 6-track EP – Country Stuff – in Summer 2021 which included the title track, “Fancy Like”, and two other pre-released songs, “I Hope You Miss Me”, and “Make You Cry”. The rather unexpected success of “Fancy Like” allowed for the full album that is set to release on January 21, 2022. It will include the same six songs from the EP, “U Gurl” and “AA”, as well as five more unreleased songs.

A song of typical Hayes fashion with its unique catchy sound and play on words, AA is about trying to make it through the day to day struggles of life, family, parenting and work without hitting the bottle too hard and ending up in AA.

Now that fans are starting to get to know Hayes and his family more and more with not just his rise in fame, but his openness with his family life on social media – his songs are growing more and more relatable. “Fancy Like” let us know all about his love for his wife Laney and Hayes’ social platforms are covered with his day-to-day life with six kids – including his oldest daughter Lela who doubles as his TikTok choreographer.

“AA” gives us a glimpse of what is constantly on Hayes’ mind – like being able to provide for his wife and kids, by writing songs that people will want to hear, all the while steering his kids in the right direction and not letting his wife realize she’s the one that “married down”. Meanwhile, if you ask us – we’re not convinced that either of the two should be saying this!

“I’m just tryna keep my daughters off the pole // And my sons out of jail // Tryna get to church so I don’t go to Hell // I’m just tryna keep my wife from figuring out // That I married up and she married way way down // In Alabama where they love Nick Saben // Tryna write a song the local country station will play // Hey, I’m just tryna stay out of AA”

Walker Hayes’ ‘Country Stuff The Album’ is due out 1/21/22.

Brantley Gilbert Releases New Song “How To Talk To Girls”

Brantley Gilbert’s brand new song “How To Talk To Girls” is out today, November 19th, on all streaming platforms. Learn more about the brand new track below.

Country star, Brantley Gilbert is known for his heavy-hitting songs and truth-telling lyrics. It is not often that Gilbert lets his fans in to his softer side, but when he does, it is a true masterpiece. Today, fans get that side of the singer-songwriter with his brand new song “How To Talk To Girls.”

“The more specific I am as a writer, the more I hear other folks say ‘Man, I feel the exact same.’ When it comes to family, the love I have for my wife, son and daughter is simple and straightforward, but getting across how deep it goes is the hard part, and I think that’s something we all share,” shared Gilbert in a press release about the song.

“‘Cause this angel hangs on every word I say // She’s gettin’ so much more from me than my last name // Everything and I can’t hide it // She’s got me at a loss for words // I guess I’m still learnin’ // How to talk to girls”

Inspired by his wife and his daughter, “How To Talk To Girls” is a peek into Gilbert’s sensitive and emotional side. Wearing his heart on his sleeve, it is clear how much the artist loves his family. Vocally, the singer’s voice is at its all-time best. The new song might also be one of Gilbert’s best in his collection of songs.

Chris Bandi Drops Brand New Song “Probably At A Bar”

Chris Bandi’s brand new song “Probably At A Bar” is out today, November 19th, on all streaming platforms. Learn more about the brand new track below.

As big Chris Bandi fans here at Country Swag, we were excited when we heard he was releasing more new music. The recording artist dropped a brand new song today. “Probably At A Bar” is out now.

Written by Bandi with fellow songwriters, Jason Duke and Jason Massey, the tune is fun, saucy, and completely relatable. According to the singer-songwriter, the track was created during quarantine. “If there was one good thing to come out of being off the road for a while it was being able to write a TON,” shared Bandi in a recent press release. “I got to write ‘Probably At A Bar’ with Jason Massey and Jason Duke and I can’t wait for y’all to hear it!”

“Girl I’m probably at a bar downtown // Ordering another round // of longnecks with my long lost friends // No I know you never really did like them // I am making up for all the time I wasted back when you were mine // You always know it all // It shouldn’t be hard // If you’re looking for me, I’m probably at a bar”

The unapologetic tune is a ‘good riddance’ jam following a break-up. Bandi sings about having the time of his life, after a break-up. We love this side of the “Man Enough” country crooner. “Probably At A Bar” is a must add!

Russell Dickerson and Lady A Collaborate on “Home Sweet”

Russell Dickerson and Lady A’s collaborative new version of “Home Sweet” is out today, November 19th, on all streaming platforms. Learn more about the brand new track below.

Lady A joined Russell Dickerson on a new collaborative version of the artist’s hit song “Home Sweet”. A tune we already know and love is made even better with the incredible vocals and harmonies from the group.

Dickerson’s original “Home Sweet” serves as the current radio single from his latest album Southern Symphony. It is a love song to his wife about the perhaps abnormal lifestyle that they live given his career. It centers on the idea that no matter where they are – whether it is in their home, some run-down hotel room, or their tour bus – when they’re together, they’re home. A sentiment that Hillary Scott, Charles Kelley, and Dave Haywood also know all too well. For each of them, and for so many people that can relate, sometimes home just means being with your person or your family, and not a specific address.

You feel that authenticity and relatability out of each of them in this new collaboration of “Home Sweet”.

“No, there ain’t nothing like // Home sweet, you and me // Ain’t got much but we got all we need // Wherever the wind blows // Wherever this life goes // Baby, all I know, ain’t nothing like // Home sweet // You and me”

These artists have been keeping busy and are looking forward to even more exciting times in 2022. Dickerson released a new song last week with Jake Scott called “She Likes It”. The release was followed shortly by another announcement earlier this week of his 2022 All Yours, All Night Tour. The tour kicks off in NYC on January 25th at Irving Plaza.

Lady A, having just come off their tour, released their new album last month What A Song Can Do.

Cole Swindell & Lainey Wilson Release New Song “Never Say Never”

Cole Swindell and Lainey Wilson collaborate on their brand new song “Never Say Never,” out today, November 18th, on all streaming platforms. Learn more about the brand new track below.

Cole Swindell and Lainey Wilson released their duet, “Never Say Never” and it’s a country music collab that we never knew we needed.

We’ve all had that one relationship where we said it was over, but we keep going back for more and that’s exactly the story this song tells. Written by Swindell, Jessie Alexander, and Chase McGill the edgy track starts out with a guitar before Wilson sings the first line, “I told my momma” followed by Swindell with “I told my friends”. The two continue to rotate lines throughout each verse and join forces for the chorus. The singer-songwriters each have their own unique voice yet blend together perfectly creating a hit.

“I never say never with you // I end up together with you // It’s Hell, and it’s Heaven with you, baby // anything’s possible // the highs are unstoppable // it’s so uncontrollable, it’s crazy // we say we won’t, and then we do // you’re all I want // I never say never with you”

The two stirred up rumors of the track last Friday by sending cryptic tweets to each other. Then earlier this week the artists shared a comical video discussing what each of them wouldn’t do such as wearing bell bottoms or changing a tire. However, one thing they did agree on was collaborating on a song together. And we are so happy they did.

Who Is Brenna Bone? The Story Behind Her Journey to Country Music

Who is Brenna Bone? The singer-songwriter joined us to chat about her journey to country music. Get to know the rising star here…

who-is-brenna-bone
The Beginning:

Today we get to highlight an East Coast born songstress, Brenna Bone. Growing up in Eaton, Pennsylvania, the singer-songwriter grew up a competitor. “I grew up competitively dancing and cheerleading, so I feel like I owe a lot of the performance side of me to those years of my life.”

Bone connected to music throughout her childhood, finding inspiration in pop stars like Britney Spears and Christina Aguilera. “I just knew from a very young age that I wanted to be on a stage.” In high school, the songstress discovered that she could carry a tune and fell in love with music. “Eventually, I taught myself how to record at home and I would release cover songs and I was just doing everything,” she shared.

Despite the fact that Bone knew she wanted to become a musician, her supportive family wanted her to go to college. “I started college and it was about half way through my freshman year of college, and I remember calling my mom and being like “hey I think I’m going to quit school. I want to play music full time.””

The singer-songwriter began gigging, playing shows three or four nights a week. “I really honestly made a name for myself back home,” shared Bone, adding later, “I owe a lot to my hometown, the support they’ve given me, the artist that they have helped me become. I owe a lot to where I come from.”

The Turning Point:

After making connections in the music industry and visiting Nashville once a month, Bone finally took the leap. Four years ago, she made the move to Nashville to pursue her dream career. “I just fell in love with country music and how it evolved over the years. I put my own rock influences in my own type of country music,” shared the singer about her signature sound.

Although she credits her parents for her taste in Rock music, like AC/DC and Bon Jovi, she discovered country music on her own. She credits artists like Martina McBride, Rascal Flatts, Carrie Underwood, and Miranda Lambert as some of her favorites in the country genre.

“I love the storytelling aspect of country music and I love to rock out,” she shared. “I write like a country artist and love the story-telling aspect of it and I put in my own little rock side to that.” Bone’s unique blend of country and rock music has garnered her both success and recognition in the genre; however, this is still just the beginning for the artist.

Today:

So far in her young career, the entertainer has released three singles and done some collaborative projects. Most recently, she released her killer song “Break This Habit.” “The song was the first Zoom write that I had over quarantine. We wrote it last June, so June of 2020,” shared Bone.

Drawing inspiration from personal experience, the singer-songwriter shared the writing process for the song. “I remember I was going through a break-up at the time, but it was one of those situations where it was just a bad relationship to even be in,” she began. “I remember talking to my friend over Zoom, and I was like I don’t even know what I’m going through right now, he feels like a bad habit that I keep going to.”

The more Bone and her co-writer discussed the idea, the more the song just flowed out naturally. “We wrote that song in an hour and a half,” declared the singer. Written by the entertainer with Matt Mulhare, the tune is a heartbreaking song about not wanting to quit a relationship. The tune is one that anyone can relate to.

According to Bone, she has another new single coming in early January and a collaborative project with fellow country songstresses coming before year end. Keep your eyes and ears peeled for the budding star!
