Kane Brown Drops New Song “Leave You Alone” Following “Whiskey Sour”

Kane Brown’s new song, “Leave You Alone” is out now, March 4th, on all streaming platforms. Listen to the brand new track below.

There is nothing not to love when Kane Brown sings about his wife, Katelyn. The now parents of two, who welcomed their second baby girl, Kodi Jane, at the end of the year are arguably one of the best country music families to follow on social media.

“Leave You Alone” is Brown’s way of telling his wife he’s not going anywhere. Even though sometimes he makes mistakes and life isn’t always perfect, he needs her to know that no matter what, he is never going to leave her alone. He’s going to be there, wherever she is, just like her favorite pair of jeans with the hole in the pocket.

“My love won’t leave you alone // Just so you know // When I say forever girl // I mean I’m never ever gonna do you wrong // And I won’t let you go // Talking us growing old // Heres dusk til’ dawn // We’ll be going on and on // Baby My love won’t leave you alone”

Brown released his single “Whiskey Sour” earlier this year, and his hit song “One Mississippi” just went No. 1  earlier this week. Brown’s song with Chris Young, “Famous Friends” is up for Single of the Year, Video of the Year, and Music Event of the Year at the 57th Academy of Country Music Awards – which you can watch live from Las Vegas on March 7th exclusively on Amazon Prime Video.

Alana Springsteen Shares New Song “Me Myself and Why”

Songstress, Alana Springsteen’s new song “Me Myself and Why” is out now, March 4th, on all streaming platforms. Listen to the brand new track below.

Emerging artist, Alana Springsteen, released her latest single, “Me Myself and Why” today on all streaming platforms. Springsteen is an artist we have loved from the beginning and that fondness only grows with each new song.

In 2021, Springsteen released her first album History of Breaking Up (Part One), which featured seven tracks including “Zero Trucks”, “California”, and “Trying Not To” with Roman Alexander. “Me Myself and Why” will be the first release from History of Breaking up (Part Two).

“Me Myself and Why” is a song about falling back into the same trap of being with someone you know you shouldn’t be and knowing that you have nobody to blame but yourself. It shares a rollercoaster of emotions in an incredibly relatable situation of having done something you know you will regret.

Springsteen shared on her socials earlier this week that “[she is] so proud of what [they] were able to capture in the studio with this song. Regret, angst, pain, anger, sadness, passion…wanted all of that to come through in the final track and it does.”

“My head won’t slow down //This bedroom’s a ghost town, and I  // There’s no one else to blame for // The long night I’m in for when I close my eyes //It’s me myself and // Why didn’t I just let it go // Why did I pick that phone up // Why did I let you kiss me // Should have just kept that door shut // Why didn’t I say hell no // Why did I let you hold me tight // Tonight, It’s me, myself, and why, why, why”

Mitchell Tenpenny Drops New Song “Horseshoes and Hand Grenades”

Mitchell Tenpenny’s new song, “Horseshoes and Hand Grenades” is out now, March 4th, on all streaming platforms. Listen to the brand new track below.

Mitchell Tenpenny is one of those artists who has completely mastered his signature sound. From hits like “To Do Us It Did” and “Drunk Me,” every song he releases is an enticing track. Today, the singer-songwriter dropped another brand new song called “Horseshoes and Hand Grenades.”

Written by Tenpenny with Dallas Wilson, the track is relatable and heartfelt. “Horseshoes and Hand Grenades” is a clever title to describe how it feels to be so close to the potential of love or a relationship. Each verse feels like a story unfolding, adding to the overall ambiance of the song.

“I guess we were just as close as a first kiss // Closer to God when you’re down on your knees and praying // Yeah, close like a secret, you swore you would keep // But somehow you let it slip away // So close you can feel it, it hurts when it’s real // ‘Cause the other don’t feel the same // Guess close only counts in horseshoes and hand grenades // Horseshoes and hand grenades”

The song marks the first installment of Tenpenny’s upcoming project, The Low Light Sessions. We are excited to see how fans react to the new music!

Trey Lewis’ new song, “Hate This Town” is out now, March 4th, on all streaming platforms. Listen to the brand new track below.

Singer-songwriter, Trey Lewis has blazed quite the path for himself in country music over the last decade. Lewis is already a viral sensation on TikTok with a devoted fanbase. Today the artist released a brand new song “Hate This Town.”

Lewis shows his softer side on the mid-tempo track. “Hate This Town” is all about nostalgia for your upbringing. Upon first listen, you may think the song is about never wanting to go back, but really it is all about loving where you are from. Like many of us, Lewis taps into the younger version of himself, remembering all the days he wanted to get the hell out. It is funny how our hometowns become our favorite places the older we get.

“It was anywhere but around here // didn’t care wherever that wind blew // was your typical teenage kid, a know it all, but you couldn’t tell shit // ain’t it crazy how things change cause I just turned back on main”

“Hate This Town” is another glimpse into Lewis’ talent as a singer and as a songwriter. The music video gives fans an inside look into Lewis’ real-life upbringing. We look forward to more new music by the rising artist, as it is sure to be authentic and raw. Fans have sure flocked to him for good reason.

Filmore Drops New Song “Johnny Got A Girl”

Filmore’s new song, “Johnny Got A Girl” is out now, March 4th, on all streaming platforms. Listen to the brand new track below.

Filmore fans are finally having their wishes granted for long-awaited new music from the artist. With multiple new releases expected over the coming weeks, “Johnny Got A Girl” is Filmore’s latest single, available now Friday, March 4th.

“Johnny Got A Girl” is about the loss of a longtime friend whose memories and presence are deeply missed, but maybe not for the reasons you’d expect – and certainly not what his friends expected. In a humorous play on words, Filmore pays tribute to his friend who chose a girl over beers with the boys. It doesn’t come from a place of anger, but more from one of disbelief with some underlying sadness. They know their buddy might have lost his spot at the bar for good, but for now, they just don’t know how in the world, Johnny got a girl.

“Johnny Got a Girl // And I lost a friend // Can’t even blame em // She’s a ten out of ten // Must be out of her mind // She’s out of his league // And since he’s been with her // haven’t seen him in weeks // I got no one to drink with, fish with, pull my truck out the ditch with // Man, I don’t know how in the World // Johnny Got A Girl”

LOCASH Share New Rendition of Song “Beach Boys” Out Now

LOCASH’s new song, “Beach Boys” is out now, March 4th, on all streaming platforms. Listen to the brand new track below.

LOCASH is joined by Mike Love and Bruce Johnston of The Beach Boys on their new single – which just so happens to share a name with the iconic band.

The duo was invited to join The Beach Boys (and John Stamos) on stage to a sold-out show at Nashville’s Ryman Auditorium back in February to perform “Beach Boys” live for the first time, ahead of its release and as a part of The Beach Boys 60th anniversary celebration.

“Beach Boys” was originally released as a solo version on LOCASH’s WOODS & WATER – EP before it found its way to The Beach Boys themselves. The song is written by LOCASH’s Chris Lucas and Preston Brust, alongside Dallas Wilson, Jared Mullins, Brian Wilson, and Mike Love.

On how the song and the collaboration came together, Brust shares: “The day we wrote ‘Beach Boys,’ I remember Chris and I dreaming of recording it with The Beach Boys. We never imagined that they’d hear it, let alone get the chance to lay down our parts with Mike [Love] and Bruce [Johnston] and actually feel like we were a part of a group that we’ve idolized for so long! It’s crazy how it all became a reality and now the fun really begins!”

Love, of The Beach Boys, then shared: “We had a blast collaborating with Chris and Preston of LOCASH! The song is so hooky – I can’t get it out of my head. I love mixing it up! Country Rock met Surf Rock and created a fun summer hit!”

“Beach Boys” opens with the classic hook from The Beach Boys’ iconic hit, “I Get Around” and continues to mesh The Beach Boy’s chill summer vibes with LOCASH’s outlaw country style and energy. In a song where the beach meets backwoods (or rather, woods meet water), you can’t help but want to drop what you’re doing and head for the beach.

“Let’s take the country to the beach boys // trade that red dirt in for sand // Show ‘em how we Tennessee boys // Catch a Jon boat buzz on a Catamaran // And get a little bit of red on my redneck // Drop a lime in the bottom of a long neck // Find a boat that floats and get shipwrecked // With some local honey // Let’s take the country to the beach boys”

LOCASH is nominated for Duo of the Year at the 57th Academy of Country Music Awards, live from Las Vegas on Monday, March 7th. LOCASH’s WOODS & WATER TOUR 2022 kicks off tonight, March 4th in West Chester, OH and has 21 more dates to follow including Wildwood, NY on June 19th as part of the Barefoot Country Music Fest.

Nashvillains: ‘Tumbling Down’ – Album Review

Nashvillains debut album, Tumbling Down is out now, March 4th on all streaming platforms. Listen to the new album below.

Nashvillains are an act you are going to want to remember! Comprised of Troy Johnson, Scott Lindsey, and Brett Boyett, the trio just released their debut record. The country-rock album, Tumbling Down is out now.

Chock-full of incredible songs, Tumbling Down is one of the most unique records out there right now. Unlike most records in the country genre, the album is meant to be listened to from start to finish. According to the band members, “It’s a concept album, so there’s an overall story and an arc to the entire album, so each song relates to the next one.” Band member, Lindsey adds, Our original inspiration was to tell a story about a man that has made bad decisions that have sent his life into a downward spiral. In three simple words, the album is beautiful, dramatic, and classic.”

The record kicks off with the track, “Devil Don’t Sleep.” The song depicts the struggles the protagonist is going through – feeling like a song straight out of a movie. The album progresses to the next two songs, “Standing In The Fire” and the title track and lead single, “Tumbling Down.” The former is an eerie slow burn. Johnson’s vocals are haunting in the best way possible. Similarly, “Tumbling Down” is a ballad that depicts the depths a person can fall to. Additionally, the instrumentation on this song is a darker version of more traditional country music.

“Every road is just a lonely old blacktop // Heading someplace you’ve already been // Pound of dust on your shoes // Sunburn on your neck // And memories in your head you can’t forget // Oooh oooh ooh”

The Nashvillains continue to play with the instrumentation on the groovy, blues-heavy, “Baby Keeps Killing Me.” On “Bonita,” the group members introduce a gothic, yet Latin flair to their already enticing project.

The band members continue to play with their songs both melodically and sonically on “There To Catch Me” and “Love Is Pain.” The former brings it back to traditional country music, while keeping the dark and deep guitars throughout the rhythm. The latter broadens the rock music elements of the record.

The album concludes with “Chickasaw Bayou” and “Don’t Let Me Hang.” On “Chickasaw Bayou,” the Nashvillains’ declare an end to the suffering expressed throughout the tracks before. “Don’t Let Me Hang” is a plea to God to bring salvation and end to the suffering. Although dark, the song is the perfect way to end the cohesive and incredible story that unfolded throughout the record.

Overall the Nashvillains debut record is a unique masterpiece. The trio managed to create a project that is delightfully unlike anything else in the genre right now. The instrumentation, the lyrics, the story-telling, and the relatability are all top-notch. Congrats to Nashvillains on their killer debut!

Tumbling Down Tracklist:

  1. “Devil Don’t Sleep” (Troy Johnson, Scott Lindsey, and Brett Boyett)
  2. “Standing In The Fire” (Troy Johnson, Scott Lindsey, Brett Boyett)
  3. “Tumbling Down” (Troy Johnson, Scott Lindsey, Brett Boyett)

Who Are the Nashvillains? The Story Behind Their Journey to Country Music

Who Are the Nashvillains? The country-rock trio joined us to chat about their journey to country music. Get to know the rising stars here…

The Beginning:

Today our spotlight shines on one of the most unique acts in country music right now. The Nashvillains, comprised of three incredible musicians, Troy Johnson, Brett Boyett, and Scott Lindsey are a band you are going to want to know about ASAP. The trio is a true gift to music fans.

Johnson, Boyett, and Scott were all primed for success in the music industry at an early age. They all lived full and prosperous lives, prior to forming their band. Nashvillains’ lead singer, Johnson has been playing music all his life. “I have always done it since the age of 5, I kind of woke up singing and I just haven’t stopped. Music has always been the trajectory of my life.” The singer headed to Belmont University in Nashville for college and has been cutting his teeth in the industry since.

Scott also attended Belmont University around the same time. “I’m originally from a place called Beaver Dam, Kentucky, in the heart of bluegrass music,” shared the band member. “I was raised on music and I thought everyone played music, baseball, and basketball growing up.” Scott grew up heading to writes in Nashville with his father, as well as, playing gigs at honky-tonks in music city at as early as sixteen.

Nashvillains’ guitar player and record producer, Boyett got his start in his home state of Colorado. The artist even studied classical guitar, when he attended college in Texas. “I was playing the country circuit in Texas and I was writing songs and he encouraged me to move to Nashville,” shared Boyett about the encouragement he got from George Jones’ bass player. The artist also played in a rock band in New York City, but it was in Los Angeles, where he really honed his skills as a composer and as a songwriter.

Boyett’s faithful move to LA, where he worked on shows like Reba and wrote and produced, the highly-acclaimed feature ‘Forever My Girl’, was the start of the Nashvillains. He just did not know it yet!

The Turning Point:

While working on Forever My Girl, Boyett hired Johnson to sing the demos and background vocals. The two immediately bonded and formed a working friendship. Boyett also was introduced to Scott, during the same time in his life. “We hit it off and I started talking about how I was moving back to Nashville and I wanted to work with this singer I had been using for demos, Troy Johnson, and he was like, ‘oh yeah, I know Troy. We write for the same publishing company.'”

As it turned out, both Scott and Johnson had offices across the hall from one another at the publishing company and knew each other well. After the trio all became friends, Boyett finally pitched his idea of the Nashvillains to the men. “I had this idea of the Nashvillains, this kind of dark, country, cinematic country thing and we all got together,” shared Boyett.

After some convincing, both Scott and Johnson were on board, and the trio that is Nashvillains was born.

Today:

Fans can look forward to the Nashvillains debut album Tumbling Down coming out this Friday, March 4th. “I think that our uniqueness comes from the fact that we actually did draw from each other’s unique backgrounds,” shared the trio. “There’s a lot of different influences in this band. We all three have such diverse backgrounds with where we are from and the music we grew up on.”

The record is a complete concept album that is a unique conglomerate of everything that makes the trio mesh together effortlessly.“We’re all kinda musicologists in a sense that we get all the genres, but we each have a different proclivity to play. And I think because of that a push and pull that’s what creates the [Nashvillains.]”

Tumbling Down is both unique and relatable, begging listeners to listen to the project from start to finish. “One of the coolest things about this is that people should listen to the album from start to finish. It’s a concept album, so there’s an overall story and an arc to the entire album, so each song relates to the next one,” begins the band. “We hadn’t heard of anyone else doing that in country music, so we thought that might be a really cool approach to take with this and we had a pretty good story that we thought would work and we kind of wrote around that.”

Fans can also anticipate unique instrumentation to go along with the rock-country vibes of the upcoming project.“I think we’ve really embodied the name ‘Nashvillains.’ We’re definitely country and we’re definitely based in Nashville, but we sort of have a skewed view of what the Nashvillains sound is and we can kinda explore.”

Country music fans can look forward to the trio supporting the record with tour dates in the upcoming months. Until then, make sure you check back this Friday for our full review of the record!
