Thomas Rhett earns the number one song at country radio this week with his song, “Beautiful As You.” Get all the details here!
Thomas Rhett deserves each and every accomplishment he earns. In his incredible career, Rhett has already scored twenty-two number one singles. Today he adds to that impressive number, securing his twenty-third number one at country radio with his song, “Beautiful As You.”
Rhett co-wrote the new song during a writer camp in Chattanooga, Tennessee sometime last year. According to the singer, “Beautiful As You” is an ode to that relationship, where one person feels like they hit the jackpot. It is a true testament to feeling unbelievably lucky to have landed a partner that feels better than you in every way. Fans of Rhett know how often he credits his wife, Lauren, and it seems he feels like she is out of his league too.
“What someone as beautiful as you // Doin’ ridin’ ’round with someone like me? // I swear, girl, you could have anyone you choose, I should stop // Askin’ questions, ‘fore you get up and leave // What someone as beautiful as you // Doin’ wakin’ up with someone like me? // Ain’t gonna lie, you could have anyone you choose, I should stop // Askin’ questions, ‘fore you get up and leave”
Congrats to Rhett and his team on another incredible number one feat! “Beautiful As You” is definitely a song worth celebrating.

Here is the 58th Annual CMA Awards recap featuring big wins by country superstars Chris Stapleton, Morgan Wallen, Lainey Wilson, and more.
The 58th Annual CMA Awards took place Wednesday evening, November 20th, right in the heart of Music City at the Bridgestone Arena. Last year’s CMA Entertainer of the year and this year’s Female Vocalist of the Year, Lainey Wilson, joined Luke Bryan and NFL Hall of Fame quarterback, Peyton Manning to host the historic event which honors Nashville’s brightest stars who had massive success in country music this year. There was a total of 20 performances, 19 presenters, and 31 first-time nominees.
The night kicked off with a special performance by Post Malone and Chris Stapleton—the two sang “California Sober,” off Post Malone’s F-1 Trillion record. This was followed by a comical introduction by the three hosts, and the first award, Single of the Year.
After the break, Megan Maroney and Shaboozey took the CMA stage for the first time as solo artists. Moroney sang “Am I Okay?” and Shaboozey merged “Highway” with his 17-week #1 smash “A Bar Song (Tipsy).” Later, Riley Green joined another first-time performer, Ella Langley, for their top 10 song, “you look like you love me.” The song was awarded Musical Event of the Year before the show. Charlie Worsham also received an award before the show, bringing home the Musician of the Year.
After Luke Combs sang the rocking “Ain’t No Love in Oklahoma” from the major motion picture, Twisters, Moroney came back to the stage to accept her Best New Artist award.
Kacey Musgraves performed her graceful tune “The Architect,” then Old Dominion took home their seventh-straight Vocal Group of the Year Award. Lead singer, Matt Ramsey gave an inspirational speech on the power and strength of coming together as bandmates to create something beautiful. Post Malone came back on stage after to sing the emotional tune, “Yours,” about fatherhood.
In a stacked Album of the Year category, Cody Johnson’s Leather beat out Jelly Roll, Chris Stapleton, Kacey Musgraves, and Luke Combs’ records. As the great sport he is, Jelly Roll was second only to Johnson’s wife to congratulate his counterpart with a huge hug. After, New Artist of the Year nominee, Bailey Zimmerman was lowered onto stage from the rafters to sing his new party song, “New To Country.” The performance was filled with smoke and confetti explosions.
Hosts Lainey Wilson and Luke Bryan got their solo moments on stage with performances of “4x4xU” and “Love You, Miss You, Mean It,” respectively. Later, Eric Church showcased “Darkest Hour,” his new, unifying song that recognizes the disasters Hurricane Helene caused in North Carolina and Tennessee.
The night was an unforgettable one for many, but especially for George Strait, who received the Willie Nelson Lifetime Achievement Award. Jamey Johnson, Miranda Lambert, Parker McCollum, Chris Stapleton, and Lainey Wilson helped honor him by performing his biggest songs over the years including “Amarillo By Morning,” “Give It Away,” and “Troubadour” that had everyone in the audience singing along. The King himself sang a new song off his new record, “Honkytonk Hall of Fame.”
Ashley McBryde, who was nominated for Female Vocalist of the Year, paid tribute to the late Kris Kristofferson with a gorgeous cover of his song, “Help Me Make It Through The Night.” Kristofferson sadly passed away less than two months ago.
There were two country-pop collaborations: Thomas Rhett and Teddy Swims on Rhett’s “Something ‘Bout A Woman” and Swims’ “Lose Control” and Kelsea Ballerini and Noah Kahan singing “Cowboys Cry Too” off Ballerini’s new record, Patterns. Other collaborations included Cody Johnson and Carrie Underwood singing “I’m Gonna Love You;” and Jelly Roll and Keith Urban performing “Liar.” Jelly Roll also joined Brooks & Dunn for a moving performance of the duo’s hit, “Believe.” Audience member swayed to the tune lifting their hands up with some even shedding tears as the two belted out the final chorus.
Brooks & Dunn were later awarded the Vocal Duo of the Year for the fifteenth time and first since 2006. The final collaboration and performance of the night was Dierks Bentley covering Tom Petty’s “American Girl, with other American girls, Molly Tuttle, Sierra Hull, and Bronwyn Keith-Hynes.
From the once in a lifetime collaborations, to the exquisite sets and performances, the CMA Awards never fails to disappoint, and we were honored to be in attendance again in 2024. Country music is thriving right now and we are so proud of everyone involved from the artists, producers, and songwriters, to the costume designers, marketers, stage crew, and beyond.

“Sunday morning, hung over again // From another night of acting like we’re just friends // I’mma keep it a 150, you got me running on empty // Drowning in you // My heart ain’t a hundred proof // Well tell me the cold hearted truth // Oh baby // I know I’m not the only drink in town // I can’t just be another round // If you don’t wanna drink me baby // Don’t sip me baby // Just pour me out // Just pour me out”

Kameron Marlowe shares his rendition of “Burning House,” out now, November 22nd on all streaming platforms. Listen to the new track below.
Throughout the last few years, an artist we have continuously had our eyes on was Kameron Marlowe. Marlowe continues to up the ante with each and every song he releases. Each of his songs showcase his humanity and his talent as a singer and as a songwriter. He is one of the most authentic artists to come out of the country genre in a long time. Today, Marlowe pays tribute to artist, Cam, reimagining her beautiful song, “Burning House.”
Co-written by Cam along with Tyler Johnson and Jeff Bhasker, the song was inspired by a dream that she had about attempting to rescue her boyfriend from a house that was on fire. While the original song was beautiful, Marlowe does an incredible job breathing new life into the song. “Burning House” almost feels as if it was tailor-made for the artist.
“I had a dream about a burning house // You were stuck inside, I couldn’t get you out // I laid beside you and pulled you close // And then the two of us went up in smoke // Love isn’t all that it seems, I did you wrong // I”ll stay here with you until this dream is gone // I’ve been sleepwalking, been wandering all night // Trying to take what’ lost and broke and make it right // I’ve been sleepwalking too close to the fire // But it’s the only place that I can hold you tight // In this burning house”
We look forward to seeing what 2025 has in store for Marlowe. 2024 marked an incredible year for the the entertainer, and we are sure 2025 will be even better.

Who is Shaylen? The singer-songwriter joined us to chat about her journey to country music. Get to know the rising star here…
Shaylen // Photo credit: BMLG
Quick Facts:
Full Name – Shaylen Caroll
Birthdate – 01/31/1993
Hometown – Chattanooga, Tennessee + Allen, Texas
Current City – Nashville, Tennessee
Musical Influences – Shania Twain, Adele, Brooks & Dunn, Martina McBride & Nickelback
Label – Nashville Harbor Records & Entertainment
Latest Music – “To Tell You The Truth” (as of date of article 11/18/24)
The Beginning:
Today we’re shining our spotlight on an incredibly talented singer-songwriter, Shaylen. Despite finding a home in country music, Shaylen has had an interesting career path, spanning from her love for musical theatre, her former Pop group, and even writing hit songs for Korean pop artists. We chatted with the singer about her path, finding her home in country music, and everything in between.
“I was born in Chattanooga, Tennessee. I was raised here until about seven. Then moved to Allen, Texas. I basically realized the second I figured out how to talk, that I was going to sing,” began the songstress. “I don’t have anyone who is in the music industry in my family, but I was influenced by their taste in music. My mom and dad played everything under the sun. I really found a love for it, I was super, super, dead set on singing a song at the offering in Church, and I was six when I did it, and I got to get up on stage, and in that moment, I was like “oh I want to do whatever this is. I want to feel whatever this is.” It wasn’t really like “look at me,” it was the connection with everyone, and for the first time ever, I thought this was my purpose.”
The singer convinced her supportive family to get her a guitar and a piano. “I dove into piano lessons. I’m classically trained there, and then at night time, I would go to a music school, and I would do children’s theatre, and all the plays I can do at the time.”
Shaylen recalls from an early age having access to many different musical genres. She fell in love with all sorts of artists like Shania Twain, The Beatles, Carrie Underwood, Britney Spears, and even Elton John. “There was a period of my life, where it was gospel music and then I learned what Broadway was. I was heavily into musical theatre. Then, I got introduced to Brooks & Dunn, and Toby Keith was a big guy in our household, Martina McBride, Faith Hill, Tim McGraw, etc. I realized, as little as I was, the storytelling in country music, it was always about the song first,” she shared. Adding, “We played everything you could think of under the sun.”
The Turning Point:
Young Shaylen, continued to hone her talent as a musician. Eventually, she landed herself a spot in a Pop group called ‘Savvy.’ “Then randomly the creator behind the show, Proud Family, came across one of my group members, and met us, and was like I’m going to write a sitcom around you guys. […] She wrote the script and we filmed the pilot. […] A year later, it was picked up, and all of a sudden instead of going to high school, I’m moving to Michigan to film a 22 episode sitcom,” she shared.
“So I did that, I was home-schooled, and then out of nowhere, when I was turning seventeen, Cash Money Records wants to sign us. We signed the record deal. […] We were really having a moment, and then things derailed within six months.”
Unfortunately, Shaylen experienced what many artists have experienced, being shelved and unable to release music because of her record deal. Despite the unfortunate experience, the singer decided to move to Los Angeles to find a new way to make her dreams a reality. “I get there, I’m working five jobs, and my group and I after a few months, knew it was over. […] I was stuck in that deal for two or three years, no one would write with me, but I figured out I needed to know how to write a song by myself.”
Learning how to write songs became Shaylen’s silver lining. “That led me to my first publishing deal as a solo artist, and wrote my way into certain rooms, and wrote another song by myself that landed in the room of Universal Republic, around 2018, I signed my first record deal as a solo artist with Universal Republic, and then COVID happened.”
By happenstance, Shaylen got the opportunity to go write in Nashville. During her first ever co-write in the city, her and her co-writers wrote the song “What If I Don’t,” which would go on to be life changing for the songstress.
Eventually, Shaylen felt the pull she felt years prior to head to Nashville. “I just heard this voice tell me that I had to go and derail my life and do the scariest thing I’ve ever done, but pack up your bags and go to Nashville,” she shared. Her record label let her walk, and she headed to Music City with just $75 to her name.
Today:
Flash forward to today, Shaylen following her inner knowing became the best thing she’s ever done for herself. The singer-songwriter found a home in country music, signing a deal with Nashville Harbor Records & Entertainment.
“I’m curating a body of work right now that I’ve been curating over the last year in almost phases. I didn’t realize that in what was so hard and so sad, really I started to learn how to love myself again. […] If there’s anything that I can take away from my own thing is that these songs are chapters of that in my own life,” shared the singer.
Most recently, Shaylen released a new song called, “To Tell You The Truth.” “”To Tell You The Truth” was written down a year and a half ago, about wanting to call you and tell you I miss you, but why, you’re with someone new, and I remember being so excited to walk into the write. […] I happen to be suffering from a kidney infection on the same day, but I had to go. […] We’re writing, we’re trying to go around this idea. […] in the duration of that, when we finally listenedat the end, I loved it so much.”
“To Tell You The Truth” is the first song to come out in conjunction with her record deal. The Track showcases exactly who Shaylen is an artist. Fans can look forward to more music coming soon, as 2025 is slated to be a huge year for the humble rising artist. “We’re in the chapter of being vulnerable.”
