To celebrate the release of their newest album, Can’t Say I Ain’t Country, platinum-selling duo, Florida Georgia Line is in New York City to promote their record. Their first stop included performing their hit “Talk You Out of It” on ‘The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon’ at midnight.
Host Fallon excitedly announced the duo’s performance, just before they took the stage. Record in hand he shared, “Performing “Talk You Out of It.” from their new album, Can’t Say I Ain’t Country, out now! Give it up for Florida Georgia Line.”
With a hazy and steamy looking backdrop and a peek of their band, the duo took front and center. Hubbard’s smooth and sultry vocals were evident as he began to sing the first verse of the song, while Kelley’s harmonies and unique swagger added to the performance. As a nod to their love of blending sounds and different genres together, the duo blended their fashion as well, with Kelley dressed in a cowboy hat and denim, and Hubbard donning a more hip-hop inspired look. Whatever the case, their signature fashion and vocal style were on full display during the entire performance. The boys embodied the essence of the music video for “Talk You Out of It” perfectly. They ended their performance thanking the audience, who immediately erupted into applause. Check out the clip below to see for yourself.
Fans can catch Florida Georgia Line on their ‘Can’t Say I Ain’t Country Tour’ kicking off this summer, accompanied by Dan + Shay and Morgan Wallen, as well as, special guests, HARDY and Cannan Smith at select shows. The tour hits the New York area on Saturday, July 20th at the Northwell Health at Jones Beach Theatre. Platinum-selling country duo, Florida Georgia Line have officially released their highly anticipated fourth studio album, Can’t Say I Ain’t Country. The LP features collaborations by country singers, Jason Aldean and HARDY, as well as, reuniting the duo with Jason Derulo on one of the nineteen tracks. On Can’t Say I Ain’t Country, Hubbard and Kelley continue to explore their signature sound and their mutual love of multiple genres of music, and it evident from start to finish.
The record opens with the title track, which sets the tone for the rest of the album. The song explores the criticism that Florida Georgia Line often hear, that their sound does not fit the country music mold. In typical Florida Georgia Line fashion, the boys push back, delivering the definitive country jam. Both the lyrics and the instrumentals give fans the country flavor that they are often accused of missing. “You can say I’m a redneck / You can say you don’t like my truck / You can say that I talk and I dress all funny / But you can’t say I ain’t country.”
One of the best examples of their ability to blend genres is “Talk You Out of It,” which was one of the songs released a few months ago. The track melds R&B influences with Hubbard and Kelley’s voices effortlessly. It is sexy, sultry, and super catchy. The song showcases their love for infusing different genres into their music in the best light. In the same vein, their track with Jason Derulo, “Women,” is a refreshing love letter to all women, mentioning that “we’re all better off with them right by our side.” Derulo is the perfect collaborator for this song.
Another ballad featured on the album is their final track entitled “Blessings.” The song has the same feel as past hits, “Dirt” and “God, Your Mama, and Me.” Hubbard and Kelley pour their hearts out, as they sing the sentimental lyrics. The arrangement is simple, focusing on their story-telling lyrics and their beautiful harmonies. It is clear that the duo drew inspiration from their relationships with their wives when they helped write this track. “I can’t count them on one hand / But when I look there on your finger / I say I’m a lucky man / God made two lovers out of strangers / Little house on a little land / A little creek, a little jeep / Same old moon that everybody sees / It sure ain’t hard to count your blessings.”
For fans who love Florida Georgia Line for their fun party tracks, don’t worry, Can’t Say I Ain’t Country, has some good ones! The uptempo, “Y’all Boys” featuring rising country singer, HARDY is going to be the perfect addition to their live setlist. The cheeky song is as country as it gets, and will make a perfect tailgate song. Charming and catchy “Y’all Boys” will most definitely be a summer anthem in no time. Although more of a mid-tempo vibe, Florida Georgia Line’s collaboration with country superstar, Jason Aldean, “Can’t Hide Red” is sure to be an instant hit as well. The track showcases their southern pride, mixed with some hip-hop flavor. The song will have everyone singing and dancing along from the first listen.
Although we love the party songs, Florida Georgia Line really shine on tracks like “People Are Different” and “Sittin’ Pretty.” Both songs focus on the creative lyrics, show off Hubbard and Kelley’s song-writing skills and display honest messages that fans are sure to identify with.
Overall Florida Georgia Line deliver a solid record with Can’t Say I Ain’t Country. Hubbard and Kelley embrace their country roots throughout each of the tracks, while still staying true to their signature sound. The album is unapologetically Florida Georgia Line, and that is what makes it special.
Can’t Say I Ain’t Country is now available everywhere you buy or stream music. Take a listen below and check out more new recently released music here on our ‘New Country Music’ playlist. Be sure to give the playlist a follow for your weekly new country music fix.
Make sure to catch Florida Georgia Line this summer, on their ‘Can’t Say I Ain’t Country’ tour, featuring Dan + Shay, and Morgan Wallen, with special guests, HARDY and Cannan Smith at select shows. Following her big night, 4-time Grammy Award winner Kacey Musgraves, dropped her brand new music video for her newest single, “Rainbow” late last night. Musgraves swept the 2019 Grammys, winning the most awards of the night, Best Country Album, Best Country Solo Performance, Best Country Song and the biggest award, Album Of The Year for Golden Hour.
Before taking the stage to perform “Rainbow” at the Grammys, she teased the music video live on the E! Red Carpet with Ryan Seacrest. Giving an exclusive sneak peek of the video she created with the director, Hannah Lux Davis. When asked to talk about the concept of the video, Musgraves mentioned, “The song started out as kind of a memo to myself but it’s really just for anybody who’s going through any kind of anything and the video is kind of just representative of your own mental garden kind of just overtaking you.”
The video is breathtaking, showing Musgraves engulfed in a warm glowing light looking as angelic as ever. She is seen singing in between scenes of different people struggling through life including, a single mother taking care of her child, a young man coming out to his parents, and a man suffering from alcoholism. As the scenes play out, each person eventually finds their inner peace showing a rainbow spreading over their heads. Ending the video with Musgraves sitting in a room filled with colorful flowers underneath a majestic rainbow, showing that life has a way of working itself out in the end.
New Yorkers can catch Kacey Musgraves performing at the Governors Ball Music Festival on Randall’s Island on June 1st!

Memphis, Tennessee native who now resides in Austin, Texas, Rob Baird recalls growing up being surrounded by music. Memphis, although not as famous for music as Nashville, has shaped the landscape of the blues, rock n roll, and Motown genre. Baird in a recent phone conversation chats about his new record and his switch from a cattle rancher to a singer-songwriter . Growing up he tells us his very first concert was ZZ Top when he was in the third grade but that he was inspired by Al Green and the music that made Memphis famous. “If you grew up in Memphis, you just drive by Sun Records 3000 times in your lifetime,” he tells us. “I feel like Memphis doesn’t get as much credit as it deserves for being such a great music town”.
He started playing music in college and when people started showing up to his shows, he knew that maybe the switch from ranch manager to musician was the best decision to make. After releasing his first two records in Nashville, he made the move to Austin. “I’m obsessed with where I live, I just love it,” Baird tells us of the city. Although all of the writing for his fourth studio record took place at his kitchen table in Texas, he traveled to Nashville to record After Allwith longtime friend Rick Brantley as the producer under the direction of Jeremy Ferguson (Cage the Elephant and Lucie Silvas).
He called the shots on this record, writing all ten tracks and allowing only people who he felt knew him and his mission, to work with him to achieve it. “For this project, we just needed someone that we really trusted, that knew me well, and cared about the project, we wanted dear friends who understood what we want to do,” Baird explains. The tracks are autobiographical, telling the story of heartbreak, loss, and healing. Featuring Lucie Silvas’ smokey voice on background vocals on “Burning Blue”, it is one of the highlights on After All.
Looking ahead to 2019, Baird is promoting the new record playing shows not only in Texas but across the south. Check out our review from his intimate showcase in Fort Worth, Texas here.

As of midnight February 8th, Florida Georgia Line gave fans another reason to be excited for their new album by debuting “Y’all Boys” off their upcoming fourth studio record Can’t Say I Ain’t Country. The song, penned by Michael Hardy, Jesse Frasure, Ashley Gorley, and Brett Tyler “Y’all Boys” features Hardy and is the ultimate tribute to being a true down home country boy.
And don’t worry, if you do not know how a real country boy lives, Florida Georgia Line and Hardy explain it to us in the up-tempo chorus “Y’all boys with that Southern drawl boys, hell before ya naw rollin’ off just right / Man that town is small boys but you have a ball boys / Homemade alcohol on a Saturday night.”
That is not before humoring us and saying what exactly a country boy is not with lyrics “Well there’s those boys, got the kind of ride/Get fifty-five to the gallon/Theylisten to that new school/Never heard of George or Alan.” But even if you don’t know George Strait or Alan Jackson, don’t be offended as it is all good and fun as they say they “ain’t hatin’ on the boys.”
“Y’all Boys” is sure to be a rowdy sing-along anthem for the guys, that many can relate to. Florida Georgia Line’s highly anticipated album Can’t Say I Ain’t Country will be released February 15th and is available for preorder now. They are hitting the road in June along with special guests Dan + Shay, Morgan Wallen, and Hardy and Canaan Smith on select dates for the ‘Can’t Say I Ain’t Country Tour’.

Country newcomer, Adam Hambrick is making a name for himself in the industry as both a singer and a songwriter. After finding success with his radio single, “Rockin’ All Night,” and finding himself on many artists to watch lists, the singer-songwriter gives fans a taste of summer with his newly released song, “All You, All Night, All Summer.”
Hambrick echoes this sentiment, sharing in a recent press release, “‘All You, All Night, All Summer’ is a good way to give listeners another taste of what the record will be like and it is a great compliment to my radio single […]. Also, it’s February and we thought everybody could use a little summer in their life.”
With its relatable lyrics and infectious beat, the song is sure to become an instant summer anthem. Penned by Hambrick with Pete Good and AJ Babcock, the lyrics reflect on a hot and heavy relationship that blossomed in the summer and paints the picture beautifully of a carefree romance in a small town. Hambrick’s smooth vocals feel effortless and listeners are sure to have the song stuck in their head in no time.
“Everything you love about the Summer/ Just brings your memory back/ To when it was true life magic/ It was bare-feet/ The radio cranked with the doors off the jeep/ Both arms on the hood with the stars out/ Living large in a small town/ I was all in/ You were all mine/ The hot days, wish I could freeze time/ I may never recover/ From when it was all you, all night, all Summer.”
Diehard fans may feel the track sounds familiar because Hambrick filmed a ‘Blank Slate Sessions’ at Sound Stage Studios in Nashville back in 2017 for the song. Check out the recording artist’s live recording of the track below.
The track is available across all streaming platforms. Take a listen below, and make sure to follow our New Country Song Playlist on Spotify for your country music fix.
Keep up with Hambrick via Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram. Fans can catch the singer at Stagecoach Festival in California this April. Additionally, keep a look out for his debut album that it is currently in the works.

For the younger generation of country music fans, Brooks & Dunn may seem like your grandparents country music, but their songs and stories are important centerpieces of the genre. In their latest news, after taking a break from performing and recording together, Ronnie Dunn and Kix Brooks are back and rebooting their most famous songs with some of the genre’s biggest rising names. The duo has had 20 number one hits over the last two decades and they are now getting ready to reimagine those incredible songs with some of the freshest talent coming out of Nashville.
Artists like Thomas Rhett, Brett Young, LANCO, Ashley McBryde, Brothers Osborne, Midland, Cody Johnson, Jon Pardi, Tyler Booth, and Kacey Musgraves will be featured on the new project. Released today are the first two tracks from their next studio album, REBOOT slated for release on April 5th. Luke Combs joins the best selling duo of all time on “Brand New Man” while Kane Brown lends his vocals to “Believe”.
“This whole experience has been humbling, to say the least. What a cool rush to hear somebody do one of your tunes in a unique way, and it still holds up,” said Ronnie Dunn in a recent press release. “That’s the greatest compliment you can get as an artist. People used to ask us all the time about the legacy we wanted to leave, and it’s honestly just that – you hope the music stands up over time. This is the first opportunity we’ve had to run it up a new flagpole…and it really flies.”
“Brand New Man” features Combs’ rugged voice and dimensional grit. The multi-platinum singer-songwriter is not new to honoring the duo, he usually performs at least one Brooks & Dunn song in his set. When we caught his set at Madison Square Garden opening for Jason Aldean on his High Noon Neon Tour he covered a rousing rendition of “Boot Scootin’ Boogie”. The entire idea for this project happened when Combs met with the duo’s longtime manager and he explained how important Brooks & Dunn had been to his career. “Brooks & Dunn’s music absolutely had a tremendous impact on me,” said Combs in a recent press release. “To me, they invented that foot stomping, driving sound. And it’s so cool that this has turned into such an awesome album, with artists that actually grew up listening to Brooks & Dunn. Their music was so influential to us that having the chance to come in and bounce ideas off the guys and sing with them in the studio was a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.”
Kane Brown may be one of the artists in the genre who is pushing the boundaries of pop/R&B but he recognizes his Georgia/Tennessee roots by collaborating with Brooks & Dunn on “Believe”. His sultry baritone voice tells the riveting story of Old Man Wrigley. In our opinion, this song is one of their best, and we were lucky enough to experience it live when Brooks & Dunn took the stage at the Grand Ole Opry back in 2017.
Both songs, and hopefully the entire REBOOT album will keep the integrity of the original songs while adding the fresh new twist and inspiring vocals from rising artists. This album is a chance for an entirely new generation of country fans to experience the beautiful songs that Ronnie and Kix made famous. Take a listen to “Brand New Man” and “Believe” below.
