Morgan Wallen’s Fans Cheer at a Decibel Level Higher Than Average Game

Morgan Wallen kicked off his 2022 Dangerous Tour with two sold-out shows at New York City’s Madison Square Garden. As Wallen opened the show with his current single “Sand In My Boots” solo on the piano, the room of 13k+ fans cheered for the superstar reaching a decibel level averaging 30dBs louder than the average game at the arena. Watch the video below.

Three tracks into his epic 23-song-set, Wallen emotionally addressed the room, “My name is Morgan Wallen. We were supposed to start our tour in Indiana, but the good Lord had other plans, so for 2022, our first show is right here in Madison Square Garden.” Wallen’s original tour kick-off was rescheduled due to inclement weather, allowing for the superstar to instead kick things off days later at The World’s Most Famous Arena.

After lapping the outskirts of the stage, locking eyes with fans in every corner of the room, Wallen emotionally stood centerstage and thanked the sold out room. “I just wanted to stand here and take it all in for a second. Thank y’all man. It really means the world to me that you guys are here. Thank you. I can’t say thank you enough. Thank you from me, and from my band, and my crew”, Wallen tearfully tells the crowd before reaching a loss of words. Wallen drops the mic and leaves the stage to end two epic nights of country music in New York City. Watch the video of the special moment below.

Thomas Rhett Drops New Love Song “Us Someday”

Thomas Rhett drops new love song, “Us Someday” out now, February 11th, on all streaming platforms. Listen to the brand new track below.

Thomas Rhett released the fourth single off of his forthcoming album Where We Started, which is set to release on April 1st. This 15-track project will be Rhett’s sixth studio album and will include already released tracks like “Slow Down Summer”, “Angels” and “Church Boots”, as well as his latest track, out now, “Us Someday”.

Where We Started will also be the first of two new albums that fans will get from Rhett in 2022, the second being Country Again: Side B, due out later this year. These two albums along with Country Again: Side A are all of course the massive by-product of the volume of music that Rhett was writing and creating throughout the pandemic.

As you likely know, Rhett was not only making a ton of music throughout the pandemic, but he was also sharing a large amount of it with fans along the way. There were several songs off of both Country Again: Side A as well as Where We Started that fans heard months or even as much as a year ahead of their release, thanks to Rhett’s social media.

With the release of “Us Someday”, Rhett shared: “You guys have probably noticed by now that I love to share music with you in the moment, and as it is being created. I posted this song I wrote for Lauren back in September of 2020, and now #UsSomeday is available everywhere. Hope y’all love it.”

“Us Someday” is yet another song by Rhett that was inspired by he and his wife, Lauren’s beautiful love story and their long history together that dates back to their childhood.

Written by Rhett along with Amy Wadge, Jesse Frasure, and Rhett Akins, “Us Someday” tells the story of Rhett always being able to see a future with Lauren, whether it was looking as far ahead as to their wedding, having a family together, or growing old together. No matter how crazy she thought he was for dreaming it, he knew it. It’s a very simple ‘when you know, you know’ story. Obviously, he was right.

“Couple kids runnin’ wild in the backyard // Handprints in a new driveway // Road trips in a packed-out old car // Little League on a Saturday // You call me a crazy dreamer // but I’m gonna dream away // close my eyes and I swear I see it // My Love, that’ll be us someday”

We can’t wait to hear the tracks that fill the rest of this album and can’t wait for the full project to be out on April 1st. Until then, we’ll have these first four tracks on repeat.

Tim Dugger Drops New Song “Heart Of A Small Town”

Tim Dugger drops new song, “Heart Of A Small Town” out now, February 11th, on all streaming platforms. Listen to the brand new track below.

New recording artist, Tim Dugger is bringing his traditional-country style to his artistry while building a fanbase of loyal listeners. His new song, “Heart Of A Small Town” is just another notch in his belt.

Written by Dugger with Brandon Hood and Tim Nichols, the song is an ode to the singer’s upbringing. A true love letter to small-town living, Dugger firmly plants his boots in the country. Although the singer is certainly not the first to sing about small-town living, his take comes across as authentic and true to him, making it a solid single.

“One light, one church, one bank, one bar // One old brick courthouse // Sitting in the heart of a small town // lot of red, white, and blue // lot of John Deere Green // Little bit of Billy Bob loves Charlene // Turned up loud // That’s the heart of a small town USA”

Overall the song is another step in the right direction for the singer. It is a fun-loving song that fans are sure to love more and more with each listen. Dugger is slated to return to the coveted Grand Ole Opry stage on June 24th. He hopes fans will sing the words to his songs back to him!

Dustin Lynch: ‘Blue In The Sky’ – Album Review

Dustin Lynch’s new album, Blue In The Sky is out now, February 11th on all streaming platforms. Learn about the album below.

Things are looking sunny for Dustin Lynch today, February 11, as he releases Blue In The Sky, his fifth studio album with Broken Bow Records. With twelve new tracks, five of which he co-wrote, the Zach Crowell-produced collection features a perfect combination of party anthems and heartfelt ballads.

“Get ready for a collection of songs that are going to make you feel good and want to mix a drink and party with your friends,” shares Lynch in a statement. He kicks the album off with a bang, opening with the rousing up-tempo “Party Mode,” that, in many ways, feels like it’s setting the stage for his tour of the same name. Lynch tells American Songwriter that that song came to him just after a break up. “Breakups suck, but they’re not always a bad thing. You can fulfill yourself and feel excited again about life and what life holds and all the unknowns,” he said. “‘Party Mode’ was sent to me right after that window of time. It was a perfect match for where I was, and getting to do a lot of living out on the boats because we weren’t touring as much, so it just fit perfectly.”

Another stage-ready anthem is “Stars Like Confetti,” co-written by Thomas Rhett. “Baby you were glowin’ // God was throwin’ // Stars like confetti,” Lynch sings of a night under the stars with a special lady over an earwormy melody that is sure to get stuck in your head.

Meanwhile, “Somethin’ That Makes You Smile” is a song that’s perfect for the crazy world we’re living in, celebrating the simpler things in life. “Whatever it is, ya better get to it,” He sings, reminding listeners to enjoy whatever it is that makes them smile, whether it’s working on a car, fishing, or a drink with friends.

Lynch enlists some of his famous friends to join him on Blue In The Sky, including MacKenzie Porter on the previously released chart-topper “Thinking ‘Bout You.” Additionally, Chris Lane trades verses with the singer on the tropics-laden “Tequila on a Boat” and Riley Green joins for “Huntin’ Land.”  While the former is an ode to exactly what the title implies, the latter takes listeners on a clever lyrical journey. “Huntin’ Land” is a more traditional country song, a bit tongue-in-cheek as Lynch and Green trade verses about an annoying girlfriend whose “daddy has huntin’ land.” If he breaks her heart, he’ll lose access to a favorite pastime, so he might just stick around.

While Lynch may feel at home on party songs, he shines on the slower tracks, including “Pasadena” and “Not Every Cowboy.” On the almost etheral “Pasadena,” Lynch reminisces about a short fling that could’ve been so much more, but slipped away. The track is only made better by gorgeous background vocals from the incomparable Sarah Buxton.

Meanwhile, “Not Every Cowboy” is the album’s final track, a slow ballad that is both poignant and memorable. Here, he’s trying to prove he’s not like all the other cowboys. “Girl, I bet your momma warned you  // ’bout guys like me // And this outlaw in my blood  // Ain’t a wildcard up my sleeve // ‘Cause I ain’t a silhouette Stetson // Heading out west // In a red sunset // and taking your heart with me // So let me show you // that not every cowboy leaves”

On Blue In the Sky, Dustin Lynch offers a solid follow-up to 2020’s Tullahoma. With songs like “Stars Like Confetti ” and “Pasadena,” Lynch is out to prove that he’s “Not Every Cowboy.”

Blue in the Sky Tracklist:

  2. “Thinking ’Bout You (feat. MacKenzie Porter)” (Dustin Lynch, Andy Albert, Hunter Phelps, Will Weatherly)

Maren Morris Drops New Song “Background Music”

Maren Morris drops new song, “Background Music,” out now, February 11th, on all streaming platforms. Listen to the brand new track below.

“Background Music” is the second single from Maren Morris off her forthcoming album Humble Quest. The release follows “Circles Around This Town”. Humble Quest is Morris’ third studio album and is set to be released on March 25th.

“Background Music” is a beautiful ballad that reminds us just how incredibly talented Morris is as not only a vocalist but as a songwriter. The song is written as a two-sided love letter to both her husband, fellow singer-songwriter and “Chasing After You” duet partner – Ryan Hurd, and to her work – which she is admittedly so fortunate to be able to do.

“Hard not to see we’re the lucky ones // Not everybody gets to leave a souvenir”

The song expresses a realization that both their time here on Earth together, as well as their time being able to do what they love in their careers, are not things that will last forever. So as they grow together and as they grow as artists, they should just be enjoying the moment as much as they can, because they simply don’t know how long they will be able to do so. However, one thing that they can be certain about, is that they will love each other until whenever that end is.

“We got time but we’re only human // We call it forever but we know that there’s an end to it // You and I can dance our way through it // And I’ll love you ‘til all that we are is background music”
