Dylan Marlowe shares brand new EP, Dirt Road When I Die, out now, July 7th on all streaming platforms. Listen to the new EP now.
Since making his major-label debut in January, Dylan Marlowe has been impressing fans across the country. The singer-songwriter had a knack for creating modern music that resonates across the genre. Today, his brand new project, Dirt Road When I Die is officially out featuring eight songs.
The new EP kicks off perfectly with Marlowe’s debut single, “Record High.” On the previously released track, the singer proves how talented of an artist he is. Easily a song that any established artist would love to cut, “Record High” is one of those special songs that cement the talent of an up and coming artist.
Dirt Road When I Die EP is full of those types of songs. From songs like “Record High” to touching songs for his wife like “You Were Right (Nat’s Song)” and everything in between, Marlowe proves his staying power. On the latter track, Marlowe tugs at the listeners’ heartstrings. “You Were Right” is quite possibly the engagement song of the year.
Marlowe’s songwriting talent continues to be on full display on songs like “Grew Up Country” and “Empty Shotgun (Mr. Mechanic).” Both songs showcase the singer’s fresh and authentic approach to music. “Grew Up Country” is Marlowe’s love letter to his hometown, while “Empty Shotgun” is a heart-wrenching, yet beautiful break-up song.
“Ain’t like there’s nothing in the tank // It’s full of 87 // I don’t think it’s what you think // Yeah, this thing runs like heaven // If you wanna know why // I can’t drive // When I climb in this truck // Yeah, it’s got a cab full of memories // And an empty shotgun”
Marlowe’s new songs, “What I Know Now,” the title track, and “Rich Kids” are impressive additions to the singer’s growing catalog of music. “What I Know Now” belongs on the radio because of its relatability and catchy melody, while “Rich Kids” is true, bottled up nostalgia in song-form. However, the title track, “Dirt Road When I Die” is a true standout on the EP. The song is a perfect accompaniment to “Grew Up Country.”
Although his career is still young, Marlowe proves with each and every release that he can hang with the best of them. The singer-songwriter knows how to craft a meaningful lyric and relays each message he writes with incredible ability and authentic vulnerability. Dirt Road When I Die EP is a solid record that deserves every fan it earns him!

As the country music genre continues to widen its reach and impact more and more people, we are getting to listen to new music with a fresh sound from exciting rising artists. Frank Ray is one of those artists. The singer-songwriter blends his Latin heritage and R&B influences into country music. His major-label debut, self-titled album is officially out now, featuring songs like “Streetlights” and “Country’d Look Good On You.”
“This album is my grand entrance to the country music world,” shares Ray in a recent press release. “This project is a perfect reflection of who I am. I have finally figured out my voice, and this is what I have to say. I look at this album like a quilt I knitted, each stitch represents a person I love or an influence I admire.”
Throughout the record fans can pick up on those enticing Latin influences on songs like “Ya’ll Showed Up,” “Let It Drop,” and “We Got Em.” All three of those songs have some of the most exciting instrumentals and catchy melodies we have heard come out of country music in a long time. Ray isn’t holding anything back on his debut.
The high-energy continues to flow throughout the record. On “Out On Me,” Ray brings the soul to the song. The track feels hopeful and high-spirited, a perfect combination for a beach-ready country song. Similarly on “Party With Strangers,” the singer encapsulates who he is perfectly. It is clear that Ray is someone who wants to spread joy and positivity to music and will make friends with everyone along the way.
While the singer’s unique sound is evident throughout the record, he pays homage to classic country greats throughout the project. On “Back Before My Time,” Ray sings the praises of artists like Willie Nelson, Waylon Jennings, and Dolly Parton. While he is not directly referencing artists, the traditional country influence is also evident on some standout tracks like, “Somebody Else’s Whiskey” and “Big Fan.”
Each of Ray’s fifteen songs perfectly encapsulate who he is as an artist. Anyone who appreciates authenticity in music should jump on the Frank Ray bandwagon ASAP!

Breakout artist, Shane Profitt is one of the hardest working new artists in country music right now. The singer-songwriter creates music that feels personal to him and relatable to fans. Today, Profitt is sharing one of his most vulnerable songs to date called, “Still Picks Up.”
The new song is a reminder to everyone to stay in touch with the people we love. Profitt wrote this song after his father suffered a stroke, and he did not know if he would ever see him again. He is also reminding everyone to hug their loved ones a little tighter.
“I had no idea if I’d ever see him again,” shared the singer in a recent press release.“When you’re about to lose someone that means so much, you start to reflect on the stupid fights that could have been avoided and all the things you should have said. By the grace of God, my father is okay and here with me today. So, I wrote “Still Picks Up” to remind us to call those important folks in our lives while they can still pick up the phone, because tomorrow is not promised.”
Profitt grows with each and every release he puts out. “Still Picks Up” is quite possibly his best release to date!

Russell Dickerson shares brand new EP, Three Months Two Streets Down, out now, June 27th on all streaming platforms. Listen to the new EP now.
Russell Dickerson can truly do no wrong! Every song he touches is a certified hit. In his brand new summer-ready EP, Three Months Two Streets Down, Dickerson proves his staying power with just five incredible songs.
The project kicks off with “Ride The Wave.” An absolute slow-jam, Dickerson’s vocals are on full display on this catchy tune. The track has summertime romance written all over it. Even though summer loves do not alway last, Dickerson emotes how it feels to just go with the flow, despite the impending outcome.
Next up, “Down on the Beach,” is the perfect summer-bop. Seemingly inspired by his beach days with his beautiful wife, the song has all the summer staples. This song is made to blast, while chilling on the beach with your loved ones or spending the day out on the water. Dickerson is coming for that king of summer with this jam.
Similar to the vibe of the opening track, “Steal My Summer” is a love song about a budding relationship. Dickerson is a pro at creating romantic songs that make us all believe in love. While “Steal My Summer” is still about that summer fling, it still has that same honesty and desirability as old-school RD tracks like “Yours.”
“Beauty and the Beach” feels like a fun pop-country riff off Justin Bieber’s popular song, “Beauty And A Beat,” in the best way. While clearly, all about love and summertime like the rest of the EP, “Beauty and the Beach” is the clear anthem on the project. The song would make the perfect addition to Dickerson’s live set.
Much like “Ride The Wave,” the final track, “SMR LV” bookends the project with nostalgia and love. “SMR LV,” aka summer love feels like the culmination of the love story expressed in “Ride The Wave.” While the song has a tinge of sadness for the ending of the season, it feels like the perfect conclusion for the stellar project.
Although just five songs, Three Months Two Streets Down will get you excited for more Russell Dickerson music to come! The record highlights all the things we have grown to love about RD and his undeniable talent, charm, and charisma.

Superstar in the making, Ashley Cooke just shared some exciting news with her fans! Cooke’s debut album, Shot In The Dark is officially dropping on July 21st, featuring 24 brand new songs. In celebration of the news, the singer-songwriter is sharing three new songs with fans including a collaboration with Colbie Caillat called, “mean girl,” the title track, and a song called, “tastes like.”
In a recent press release, Cooke shared, “It’s been full of bucket list moments for me… I made my Opry debut, signed my first deals, went on tours with my heroes, and lived a lot of life in the moments in between. This album is about all of that — and it’s about the magic that can come if you really take risks in life and love.”
The first new song released today is one of the few collaborations on Cooke’s upcoming record. “mean girl” featuring Colbie Caillat is a beautiful reminder of the power of sisterhood. While the song is melancholy in nature, it is a reminder to the girlfriend of your ex to pay attention to the signs in the relationship. Heartbreaking, yet beautiful, “mean girl” is one of Cooke’s best songs to date. Cooke and Caillat are truly the pair we never knew we always needed!
“Where there’s some, there’s always a fire // and he’s got the lighter // this ain’t me being mean girl // I just hate to see a good heart hanging on as string, girl // It sure looks a. Lot like love, but what you don’t see, girl // is all those cards slid so far up his sleeve, girl // when he says you’re the only one take it from me // it’s just another thing // that he doesn’t mean, girl”
As for the title track, “shot in the dark,” Cooke leans deeper into her songwriting prowess. “shot in the dark” depicts what it is like to find a love interest in the bar and feeling the rush of a first kiss. The song feels hopeful and alluring.
Finally, “tastes like” is a fun, party song. While Cooke is known for her personal lyrics, Cooke’s entertainer-side is on full display on this track. “tastes like” is a cheeky, summer-ready tune that is sure to get a lot of playing time during the singer-songwriter’s live shows this summer.
These three songs are proving that Cooke’s album is one to look out for. She is truly on the brink of superstardom, so if you are not yet a fan, now is the time to jump on the bandwagon!

Jake Owen shares new album, Loose Cannon, out now, June 23rd on all streaming platforms. Listen to the brand new record below.
With his unique beachy take on country music, Jake Owen is back with his seventh studio album, Loose Cannon, out now. Produced by Joey Moi, the sixteen track collection features Owen’s classic breezy sound mixed with clever lyrics and heartfelt ballads.
Coming over four years since his last full-length release, Greetings From…Jake, which featured hits like “I Was Jack (You Were Diane),” “Made for You,” and “Down to the Honkytonk,” the Florida native is back with another collection of future chart toppers. With Loose Cannon, Owen is poised to reclaim his unofficial role as summer’s surefire hitmaker, enlisting co-writers that include Devin Dawson, Jordan Davis, Walker Hayes, Brent Cobb, Ashley Gorley, and more.
“I can’t wait to share this new wave of music with my fans,” shared Owen in a statement. “This album is a long time coming and feels like the best version of me. Grab your buddies, put the boat in the water, pour a cold one out, and we’ll catch y’all out on the lake. It’s the best time of year and we’re ready to celebrate.”
Out of the gate, there’s the album’s first single, “On the Boat Again,” which sounds immediately familiar thanks to its reinterpretation of the Willie Nelson classic, “On the Road Again,” while still managing to put a new spin on it. With its airy production, it’s an immediate anthem for long days on the water.
Nostalgia weaves its way through much of Loose Cannon, echoing through songs like “Boy in the Chevrolet,” “The Ending,” and “Hot Truck Beer.” “Boy in the Chevrolet” reads much like a letter to his younger self, while “Hot Truck Beer” is a breezy look at the simplicities of life at seventeen, recalling hot nights and hot beer enjoyed in a truck.
“Smoking something from the center console // Drinking too early by a couple years // Alabama pumping out the Alpines Kool cigarettes and hot truck beer // Mama’s tears and daddy’s tough love // We knew better but we didn’t care // Didn’t have it all but it was close enough // ‘Cause of Kool cigarettes and hot truck beer”
“Friends Don’t Let Friends” and “Nothing” are immediate standouts; the former a classic country friendship drinking song as the superstar pulls up a barstool beside a struggling friend, musing “You ain’t on your own, and I ain’t going home, friends don’t let friends drink alone.” Meanwhile, “Nothing” is a toe-tapping ode to kicking back and relaxing, punctuated with catchy “nope, nope”s paired with the classic and immediately recognizable whistled theme song from The Andy Griffith Show.
“Nothin’ goin’ on all day long // Got a whole lotta nothin’ to do // I’m flippin’ that sign on the door of my life // Sayin’ I’ll be back in a few // Yeah, don’t get many days I get to kick it like Jimmy Buffet // But when I do, to tell you the truth, man, I lovе it”
“It Don’t, He Won’t and You Do” and “Hope Less” are two of the album’s strongest ballads, with the former being one of the more traditional country tracks, a classic broken down, broken hearted country ballad laden with slide guitars. Meanwhile, “Hope Less” is a stirring ballad that finds him questioning someone who is trying to change who he is at his core. “You want to settle me down, why baby why?” He asks. “Now everything you want to change, ain’t that what made you fall in love with me?”
“Solo, Solo,” “Go Getter,” and “Somewhere South with Rum” are tongue-in-cheek heartbreak anthems, laced with humor and a hint of lime as Owen kicks back with a drink to move on. On “Solo, Solo,” the clever lyrics find him “sippin’ on a Solo, solo” as he muses “It’s just me, myself, and this drink Kinda ironic, don’t you think?”
“Hearts and Habits” and “When It All Shakes Out” find Owen experimenting with different sounds, the former finds him falling prey to a “cowboy killer” in the form of a 5 ‘5’’ woman with brown eyes, who’s bound to “do some damage.” Meanwhile, “When It All Shakes Out” is introspective yet anthemic, twangy guitar resonating over a staccato chorus that’s sure to provide an exciting live moment that finds him pondering “Can you shake the hand of the man you’re gonna be when it all shakes out?”
“Hey Can I Buy You a Beer” is a sentimental love song that has Owen musing how far a relationship has come from where it started. “We caught lightning in a Miller lite can, call it good timing or the good Lord’s plan, Ain’t it crazy how we got here? // From a look my way to a ‘Hey can I buy you a beer?’”
The album ends with the title track, a poignant and slow build of a love ballad that finds Owen celebrating the fact that opposites attract. “We’ll walk together, hand in hand, a good hearted woman and a hard headed man // As long as you’re my anchor, baby,” He croons, his voice heavy and rich with emotion. “I’ll be your loose cannon.”
While Loose Cannon may be Jake Owen’s seventh full length album, there’s no sign of staleness or boredom here. In fact, he sounds better than ever, continuing to stay true to what has made him a superstar while also trying new things. Here, he continues to do what he does best, mixing breezy summer anthems with clever country lyrics and heartfelt ballads.

The record kicks if with previously released tracks. “If I Should Have Married You” and “Memory Lane.” Both songs express nostalgia in their own ways. While the former is tells the age-old story of the one that got away, the latter, embodies reminisces about the days of feeling like you were in paradise. “Memory Lane” is one of those songs that will go down as a crowd-favorite for Old Dominion.
Next up, “Some Horses” display a more melancholy version of the bandmates. Although bittersweet, the song fits perfectly within Old Dominion’s growing catalog of hits. It is a song for anyone who needs to be set free. With lyrics like “I’ll love you forever, you should have known better, some horses can never be tamed,” it is clear that this song has a deeper meaning.
The next two songs on the record, “Ain’t Got a Worry” and “Love Drunk and Happy” are summer-ready. Both tracks embody summertime at its finest. These songs are sure to be both a hit at live shows and the soundtrack to everyone’s boat days. The same vibes flow through track number seven, “How Good Is That” too!
Memory Lane changes courses a bit on the new track, “Easier Said with Rum.” One of the greatest songwriting songs on the EP, “Easier Said with Rum” is a summer-ready, break-up song. While the heartbreak is evident, the song is full of honest regret, when you did not tell the person you love that you love them.
The record culminates with the final song on the project, “Freedom Like You.” The concluding track was the perfect note to end on, as the song is pure nostalgic mixed with summertime feelings. Old Dominion has truly mastered creating music that makes us feel ready for the next adventure, nostalgic for the past, and everything in between. The Memory Lane EP is definitely worth the hype.
