Brooke Eden Returns With A Brand New Song “No Shade”
After four years, Brooke Eden is ready to be reintroduced to the world with the new song “No Shade” and it’s the perfect song to start her next chapter.
Written by Eden with Steven Lee Olsen, and Brandon Day, “No Shade” is not only a clever spin on a breakup song but also a song about rediscovering yourself after getting out of a relationship. Whether it’s a romantic relationship or a relationship with a job, we’ve all been in a situation where we’ve felt stuck and couldn’t be ourselves. Showing off her powerful vocals, Eden reminds us that it’s ok to break free, find ourselves again and live the lives that make us happy.
In a recent press release, the singer-songwriter shared how she got the idea for the track. “I was talking to someone the day before we wrote ‘No Shade’ and I said, ‘There’s no shade coming your way from me,'” says Eden. “I wrote that down and thought there was something freeing in having no bad feelings toward someone who’s done something bad to you. ‘No Shade’ is about your own self-awareness to take responsibility for yourself and start anew. It’s the perfect song to kick off the new music I am sharing in 2021!”
“Nobody going to steal my sunshine or turn my blue sky grey / All I know is at the end of the day wildflowers grow when there ain’t no shade”
This is the first of three tracks Eden will be sharing over the next few months. Each track will also be accompanied by a video sharing her journey of how she got into music, her hiatus, and her comeback.
We are happy that the Florida native is back and we can’t wait to hear the next song!
