Tenille Townes Shares Special Lyric Video for “Jersey On The Wall”

Today, October 27th Sony Nashville recording artist Tenille Townes shared a very special lyric video for her moving song “Jersey On The Wall” which is featured on her debut album, The Lemonade Stand.

I had the opportunity to hear “Jersey on the Wall” a few years ago and it automatically brought me to tears upon first listen. When you lose a loved one, especially like in my case, losing my cousin to brain cancer when she was 21 years old, you tend to have a lot of questions about why something so horrible could happen. Like so many fans who have heard this song, I have shared it with family members and I was lucky enough to have had the great opportunity to tell Tenille, the songwriter and artist about my experience during our Swag Session earlier this year.

After hearing story after story like mine, Townes decided to come up with a beautiful way to honor each of these stories and lost souls. She asked fans to submit their stories along with their loved ones’ jersey colors and numbers for a special project which she revealed today. In this special fan-generated video, while the heartwarming lyrics are displayed across the screen, the camera pans across the jerseys hung one after another, allowing each fan to have their moment to remember and honor those we’ve lost. You can see my cousin’s jersey (Durso 7) towards the end of the video and it will forever solidify this song as being one of my favorites.
