Whether he’s singing about heartache, nostalgia or love, M10 does not disappoint. Today the singer-songwriter shares his newest song to date. “You Phase” is officially out now, kicking off 2026.

The brand new song already feels like an ear worm. Catchy and relatable, “You Phase’ is both a cool play on words and depicts a universal experience for most. As a song and a concept, it’s unique and a breath of fresh air. “When I heard the phrase ‘you phase’ mentioned in the room that day I knew exactly how to write this song. I’ve personally had so many phases in my life. Some good and some bad, but to refer to a phase in the song as a relationship was certainly a unique concept. I have never heard it expressed in that way. We all go through transitions in our life with relationships, careers and more trying to figure out who we are and where we want to be,” shared the singer in a recent press release.

“Yeah, I started drinking white wine // Even let you talk me into getting matching tattoos // I was living in a white lie // Doing everything, I said I would never do // Oh, but now I see // What everyone else was seeing // You had a hold on me // Guess I didn’t wanna believe it // I was going through a you phase those days // I was living out a suitcase at your place // All my buddies told me you changed, yeah I changed // Trying to be what I thought you wanted // I’ll admit it I lost myself for a minute // Damn near drowned, I was so deep in it // But these days, I ain’t’ // It’s like who was he // Baby, that was me in my you phase // Oh, my you phase”

From the moment the mid-tempo groove begins, “Same Moon” feels like a warm and familiar hug. The new single is an ode to all the couples who are busy chasing their dreams in different cities, but still have a connection.  Since he moon follows us all everywhere, it’s a great symbol of human connection – a symbol that M10 taps into on this heartwarming new song.

Singer-songwriter, Mitchell Tenpenny is coming off an extensive, 20-track album released last September that was full of fun and relatable stories. Tenpenny creates similar vibes with “Bigger Mistakes” and it’s the perfect song to aid listeners through a break-up. The Nashville-native admits several mistakes he has made in his past, all of which carry more weight than her leaving. The singer wants to assure this woman knows that he is well over their relationship. 

“I’ve had so much more to lose // Hate to say it, baby, but you’re old news // I don’t even think about you when I’ve had a few // So get over yourself // I’ve made bigger mistakes than you”

Tenpenny co-wrote “Bigger Mistakes” with some of the industry’s most accomplished writers including Chris DeStefano (“That’s My Kinda Night,” “Eyes On You”) and Josh Kerr (“Before He Cheats,” “Need You Now”). The two have over 30 numbers combined. Michael Whitwork, who has cuts all over Tenpenny’s discography, also contributed to the track. Tenpenny’s powerful vocals shine through the heavy, upbeat production.

“I’ve always loved Carly Simon’s ‘You’re So Vain’ because of the line ‘you’re so vain you probably think this song is about you.’ That line just cuts to the core,” the “Drunk Me” singer explained. “Some people like to think the world revolves around them and I wanted to write a song that was a reminder that isn’t the case. ‘Bigger Mistakes’ is about realizing that there are bigger and more important things in life than a breakup. The song is a reminder that you’ve gone through harder times and the future can be bright.”
