Chris Lane Drops Another New Song, “Summer Job Money”

After releasing new music just last week, Chris Lane is back with another new track, “Summer Job Money”, available now, April 30th, on all streaming platforms. Take a look below as we dig a little deeper into the new song.

Last week, country singer, Chris Lane released his first new song in almost two years, “Fill Them Boots’. Now, he’s wasting no time, dropping another new track today, April 30th, titled “Summer Job Money.”

Lane shows his swagger and flirtatious side on this track, as the boy in the song ignores his father’s advice about saving money for college and instead spends it on all his new love interest. With steel guitar prevalent all over this track, “Summer Job Money,” perfectly captures the feelings of two young lovers, and how they dismiss all logic and common sense to solely focus on time well-spent with one another. This tune was penned by John Byron and Blake Pendergrass and produced by Joey Moi.

“Yeah, it’s a real good thing, I didn’t know you back then // ’cause baby, I bet that // Seventeen-me would probably blow all of this summer job money on you”

It’s a good time to be a Chris Lane fan. With live shows back in sight, we can hope Lane was saving these songs for new material to go on tour with.

Chris Lane Returns with Brand New Music, “Fill Them Boots”

Chris Lane’s highly anticipated brand new song, “Fill Them Boots” is available now, April 23rd, on all streaming platforms. Take a look below as we dig a little deeper into the new song.

It has been quite a while since Chris Lane has put new music out — twenty-two months to be exact. He has been riding the slow and steady climb of his latest single “Big, Big Plans,” which hit number one in December, making it the singer’s third chart-topping hit. Today, April 23rd, Lane blessed us with a brand new song titled “Fill Them Boots”.

Lane made his fans wait almost a year for this song, as he teased a demo of it last May on Instagram. Produced by Joey Moi and penned by himself with Josh Miller, Mark Trussell, and Ernest, Lane tells a story of a girl on the rebound. The man sees her holding back tears at the bar, which causes him to swoop in with hopes of boosting her spirits and potentially becoming her new boyfriend. Lane’s twang mixed with a simple string/percussion melody makes this a fun, ‘nice-guys-finish-first’ anthem.

“Girl, it’s time to move on, scoot on over // You’re looking like you can use a brand new shoulder // Let your heart break, take a holiday // for a song or a drink or two any ways // I don’t him from Adam but I’m kind of mad at him, for the way he did you // Yeah, I can fill them boots”

Lane has teased some demos of other songs on social media over the past year as well, so be on the lookout for a future EP or perhaps even a full-length album. His last record, Laps Around the Sun, was released in July of 2018 and featured 2x platinum, number-one hit “I Don’t Know About You” and 2x platinum top ten track, “Take Back Home Girl” with Tori Kelly.

Chris Lane’s “Big, Big Plans” Earns Him His Third Career #1 Song

Chris Lane’s “Big, Big Plans” has hit the top spot on the charts this week, earning him his third number-one song following “Fix” and “I Don’t Know About You”.

Just a few days after platinum-selling recording artist, Chris Lane announced the incredible news that his wife, Lauren Bushnell Lane is pregnant with their first child, Lane’s current radio single, “Big, Big Plans” went number one.

Marking his third number one song as an artist, including “Fix” and “I Don’t Know About You,” “Big, Big Plans” is the song that personifies the singer’s relationship with Bushnell. He wrote the song as a surprise to his then-girlfriend to act as the backdrop for their exciting proposal. With such a high demand for the tune, it is clear that fans were sure to make this song hit the top spot!

“She don’t know I got some big, big plans / Build a little house out on some hand-me-down land / Find a little island where we go to get a tan / I bet we take our kids down there one day”

Ironically, the song foreshadows the couple’s future, including having kids, which is now their soon-to-be reality. In regards to new music, Lane promises fans that he is currently working on his next studio album. It is unclear if “Big, Big Plans” will make it on to the new record, but if we had to guess, we’d say it deserves a spot!

Congrats to Lane and his team at Big Loud Records for landing another hit song!

Chris Lane Drops New Song “Hold You Tonight” With Gryffin

While we are all home and hopefully staying healthy, fans of Chris Lane can rejoice with some good news for a change! The platinum-selling singer released a new song today entitled “Hold You Tonight.” Somehow, Lane manages to combine romance and sensitivity with a killer beat in this bonafide hit.

The new jam is a mix of country music and soft EDM. In the same vein as Heartless by Diplo featuring Morgan Wallen, Lane partners with super-producer and artist Gryffin to create something that still feels new and fresh. The EDM inspired beats blend perfectly with the acoustic guitars and passionate vocals. The song is a love song at heart, but the production behind it makes it innovative. Fans will still be able to tell it’s a Chris Lane song, but new fans will definitely be jumping on board after just one listen.

“Get up out of my head / Get up out of my mind / So come and fall into my arms / And let me hold you tonight / You got my heart in your hands / And it just feels right / So come and fall into my arms / Let me hold you tonight”

Lane also dropped a behind-the-headlines video for the song, which features the personal relationship between the two artists, as well as, clips of life on the road and life in the studio. It is an intimate look into the singer’s life, which we’re sure will resonate with country music fans. Check it out below.

Kane Brown Kicks Off The Worldwide Beautiful Tour with Sold Out Show

Saturday night (Feb 29.) country music fans came out in droves to catch the first night of Kane Brown’s ‘The Worldwide Beautiful’ Tour. Joining the multi-platinum selling artist for the sold-out show were Russell Dickerson and Chris Lane (who will rotate on the direct support slot throughout the tour) and country music’s hottest new trio, Restless Road.

Zach Beeken, Colton Pack and Garrett Nichols, the three band members who make up Restless Road, took the stage first, tasked with warming up the eager crowd. Earlier this week, news broke that Kane Brown had signed the trio as the flagship artist to his yet to be named record label. The announcement comes as a full-circle moment for Brown and the band as Brown initially met Beeken and Pack back in 2013 while competing on The X Factor, Brown’s first claim to fame.

Performing a mash-up of 90’s country hits including Toby Keith’s “Should’ve Been A Cowboy” and George Strait’s “Check Yes Or No”, Restless Road instantly captivated the already packed venue. In addition to the flawless medley, the group used their time on stage to introduce tracks from their brand new self-titled debut EP including “All the Girls” and “It Ain’t Easy”. Showcasing their impeccable harmonies and charm, the group quickly earned their spot on the tour.

ACM New Male Artist of the Year nominee and NYCountry Swag OG, Russell Dickerson took the stage next. The singer-songwriter opened his set with a brand new, unreleased song “Never Get Old” before diving right into his third number-one single, “Every Little Thing”. Fans erupted with screams and applause immediately as they recognized those first few familiar notes of the hit song. As Dickerson ran from one side of the stage to the other, the entire venue screamed back every single word.

After releasing his latest single, “Love You Like I Used To”, just about three weeks ago, Dickerson impressed as fans sang along to the brand new song, proving that the track is sure to have success as it makes it’s way to radio.

Dickerson kept the energy high performing crowd-favorites like “Billions” and “Blue Tacoma.” Just when you thought the set could not get any better, the future Entertainer of the Year revealed his mash-up of Cyndi Lauper’s “Girls Just Want To Have Fun”, Whitney Houston’s “I Wanna Dance With Somebody” and his own track from his debut album, “MGNO.” The epic performance has become a staple in Dickerson’s set. As he belted out the iconic vocals, while dancing on stage, the audience fed right off of his contagious energy jumping up and down and waving their arms, making the special moment perhaps the most energetic medley in country music shows today.

“…This is my first song that I ever put out. Thank you country radio, but first & foremost, thank you country music fans, the best fans in the entire world….” Dickerson emotionally thanked the crowd just before closing his set with a spectacular performance of his breakthrough smash hit, “Yours”.

Next to the stage was platinum artist, Chris Lane. Kicking off his set with his debut number one song, “Fix”, Lane immediately connected with the audience while showing off his undeniable swagger. Whether it was his version of Mario’s “Let Me Love You” or a special moment in the set when he hand-picked a young fan in the audience to join him on-stage as he performed “For Her”, Lane won the hearts of every fan in the room.

What’s most interesting about Lane is his versatility as an artist, not only in the tracks he chooses to cover but in his own songs as well. Lane can transition to performing songs from his catalog of music including fan favorites like “I Don’t Know About You” and “Big, Big Plans” to his mash-up of wide-ranging covers including everything from Alan Jackson’s “Chattahoochee” to Nelly’s “Ride Wit Me”. The way that the fans immersed in each of the tracks throughout the very dynamic set is what was most impressive. Unphased by the rollercoaster of the genres being blended, fans didn’t miss a beat of the exciting performance. For those newcomers in the audience expecting to catch a typical traditional country show, Lane pretty much set the tone for what was to be expected for the remainder of the night.

Kicking off night one of his headlining tour, Kane Brown surprised the crowd by dropping in from high above the stage, instantly creating screams and applause from his beloved fans. Keeping up with the momentum that his opening acts had set, Brown kept the crowd going opening with his upbeat third number-one single, “Lose It”.

Brown continued to impress song after song through his 75-minute set, playing crowd favorites like “What Ifs” and “Used to Love You Sober”. A highlight of the night came when a rare downtempo moment happened as Brown took a stool centerstage accompanied by two bandmates for an acoustic set. Brown displayed his emotional side and stunned the crowd as he sang “For My Daughter.” The budding country superstar wrote the tear-jerking song for his 4-month-baby girl as a promise to be the best dad he can be, unlike his own father.

Throughout the night Brown debuted not one, but two unreleased songs: “Vodka Cranberry” and “Be Like That“. The latter of which, he teased a possible collaboration and noted that the song would not only be released sometime in March, but it would also be his next single to radio. Judging from his performance and the crowd’s reaction, the song sounds like it will be an instant smash. Check out a sneak peek of both tracks in our exclusive videos.

When it came time for some covers, like Chris Lane, Brown showed off his ability to sing to a multitude of fans. Stunning the crowd with his flawless vocals as he sang “Drift Away” originally recorded by Dobie Gray, the 26-year-old then explained to the crowd how excited he was to take everyone back to middle school before singing, Soulja Boy’s “Crank That (Soulja Boy).” Ending his medley with Blackbear’s Top 40 hit, “Hot Girl Bummer”, Brown had every fan in the room out of their seats and jamming along to the unexpected mix of tunes.

Later in the show, Brown brought Restless Road back out to perform their collaborative soon-to-be smash hit, “Take Me Home”. Check it out in the video below.

The energy throughout Brown’s set was absolutely electric and with each song it only got higher. As Brown proceeded to sing “Pull It Off”, a track from his 2016 self-titled major-label debut album, he invited back Russell Dickerson and Chris Lane to the stage causing the entire arena to erupt.

Ending with “Heaven” and “One Thing Right” the Sony Nashville recording artist returned on a B stage at the back of the arena in an encore to sing “Good As You” before returning centerstage to close out the epic show.

The journey Brown takes fans on throughout his show proves his authenticity to his artistry. Taking moments to thank his fans, share stories of his upbringing and influences, and even sharing an emotional and vulnerable moment by admitting to being really nervous about this tour. The fans’ devotion to Brown remained clear throughout the entire night as fans stayed out of their seats and matched Brown’s energy, dancing and singing along to every song, and listening to every word.

In a December 2016 review of one of Brown’s very first NYC shows at Irving Plaza, we wrote of Brown “This promising talent possesses perhaps one of the most unique new voices in country music today and shows true potential for a skyrocketing career.” It seems we may have hit that nail on the head as Brown’s career continues to explode.

Chris Lane Marries Lauren Bushnell in a Surprise Nashville Wedding

Fall is proving to be the season of love for country music artists! Just last month, Tyler Rich married his fiancé, Sabina Gadecki in an epic festival theme wedding, while earlier this month rising country artists Carly Peace and Michael Ray said their vows at an intimate ceremony in Nashville. Now People magazine reported that lovebirds Chris Lane and Bachelor alum Lauren Bushnell wed in a “secret garden” wedding in their hometown of Nashville.

In front of 160 family members and friends, the couple exchanged vows, at a romantic spot called 14TENN, where flowers created the perfect indoor garden ambiance that Bushnell desired. For their first dance, the darling couple danced to the acoustic version of the proposal song that Lane penned called “Big, Big Plans.”

According to the couple, the song “was inspired by [their] relationship, and it has such a special meaning to [them,” adding, “so I don’t think we could really dance to anything else.

After a quick getaway with his now, wife, Lane will head back on the road, headlining his ‘Big, Big Plans Tour,” with special guests Gabby Barrett, Blanco Brown, and Ernest. The tour kicks off on Halloween in Cincinnati.

Congratulations to The Lanes!

Brad Paisley Brings His 2019 World Tour to Jones Beach

As we hang on to the last bit of summer, Friday evening (Aug 30.) New Yorkers headed out to Northwell Health at Jones Beach Theater to kick off Labor Day weekend. Headliner, Brad Paisley brought his 2019 World Tour to the waterfront venue, featuring special guests Chris Lane and Riley Green. Check out highlights from the show on our Instagram story here.

Just as the sun was beginning to set, one of our 2019 Artists to Watch, Riley Green took to the stage. The rising artist exploded on to the stage with songs like “Bettin’ Man,” “In Love By Now,” and “Get That Man A Beer,” both upbeat tunes. Green took some time to show off his vocals and softer side, singing his next radio single “I Wish Grandpas Never Died”. The singer-songwriter explained “If ya’ll don’t mind, I’m going to play ya’ll a brand new song that I just had written. It’s one of my favorite songs that I ever wrote,” adding that the song would be his next single on country radio, and a track on his forthcoming debut album, Different ‘Round Here.

It was clear the audience did not mind as all, as fans both sang the words back to Green and nodded and danced in approval as they listened to his breathtaking vocals. He ended his enticing set with his first number one single, “There Was This Girl,” leaving fans wanting even more music from the talented singer. Check out our Live Swag Session with Riley Green below from last Fall where he performed and chatted with us months before getting that number one.

Approximately ten minutes later, entertainer, Chris Lane brought his high-energy set to the amphitheater, even mentioning that the venue was one of his favorites to perform at. Before he even took the stage, the stage lit up with colorful lights and eclectic music blared from the speakers. It was obvious that Lane was about to leave his heart and soul on the stage, keeping everyone entertained.

The country crooner made sure to sing fan-favorites including “Fix,” “I Don’t Know About You,” and “For Her.” The entire crowd showed their approval, singing along throughout his set. One of the highlights was when Lane introduced his newest song “Big, Big Plans,” the song he just so happened to use to propose to his now fiancé Lauren Bushnell last month. Lane humbly told the audience “Thankfully, she said yes.”

As always, the singer-songwriter made sure to bring his ’90s country flair to his performance, singing a medley of some popular country songs. Lane borrowed an American cowboy hat from a fan in the audience to get into character. The charming mash-up included “Should’ve Been a Cowboy,” “Boot Scootin Boogie,” “Check Yes or No,” among some other popular ’90s tunes. Lane ended his impressive set with “Take Back Home Girl,” which he sang as he ventured through the sea of fans in the audience as he made his away around the venue.

We first caught up with Chris Lane nearly two years ago when he played Long Island’s Stereo Garden. Check out the interview below where he chats about hitting the road, music, and more.

Green and Lane definitely did their jobs, as fans were eager to hear from the headliner, Brad Paisley. Paisley not only brought his unique swagger and strong vocals to the stage, but his theatrics and background images were unparalleled, only adding to the whole ambiance of his almost two hour set.

The seasoned musician sang a mix of some of his greatest hits, new songs, crowd-favorites, and everything in between. His set began with the electrifying “Beat This Summer,” following it up with “Ticks,” “The World,” and “Perfect Storm.” Although Paisley delivered every song with conviction, one of our favorite moments of the night was when he sang a mash-up of his romantic ballads, “Then” and “Waitin’ On a Woman.” The singer-songwriter mesmerized each and every fan with the love songs. Later on in the set, Paisley showed his vulnerability yet again, singing “She’s Everything,” while the camera cut to real-time clips of adorable couples in the audience, catching them on the ‘kiss cam.’

Lane and Green joined Paisley back on stage, during the middle of his set to sing both Hank Williams Jr.’s “A Country Boy Can Survive” and “I’m Still a Guy.” Each vocalist sang a verse of the song, but it was the banter between the singers that really made the performance. Paisley poked fun at Lane’s style, laughing saying, “you have more bling around your ankles than I own,” and even stopped to take a selfie with fans. All joking aside, Paisley shared, “I’m the luckiest guy in the world to have these guys out. Chris Lane! Riley Green everybody!”

Paisley kept up the energy, singing both “This Is Country Music” and “American Saturday Night.” During the later, he made sure to thank the troops for serving our country and even brought four soldiers out on stage to honor them, encouraging fans to cheer and applaud. Concertgoers obliged, giving the soldiers a standing ovation and starting a ‘USA’ chant, making for another iconic moment of the night. [Shop here for your ‘USA! Chant’ gear.]

Paying homage to 90s country, Paisley made sure to gives fans his rendition of Alan Jackson’s “Chattahoochee”, but it was his cover of Van Halen’s “Hot for Teacher,” that surprised excited fans. Paisley ended his set, singing arguably some of his most popular songs, including “I’m Gonna Miss Her,” “Mud on the Tires,” and “Today.”

Of course, Paisley came back to the stage for an encore song, singing his Grammy nominated track, “Alcohol,” with Lane and Green. The trio’s performance was the perfect cap to a great night of country music.

This weekend wrapped up this leg of the incredible tour; however, Paisley will head to Europe for a string of shows in October. For tickets and more information head to bradpaisley.com.
