Sam Hunt has a hit record on his hands with his latest album Southside. It is hard to believe that Hunt only has two albums under his belt! His latest single, “23” is officially the number one song at country radio.
The nostalgic song captures youth, young love, and a last-taste of summer vibe perfectly. It marks the fifth top single from the sophomore record, including, “Kinfolks” and “Breaking Up Was Easy in the 90s.” “23” is definitely a fan-favorite from the record, and it shows.
“No matter where I go, no matter what I do // I’ll never be 23, with anyone but you // You can marry who you want // Go back to Tennessee // But you’ll never be 23 with anyone but me // We’ll always have Folly Beach // We’ll always have Delta nights // We’ll always be in between real love and real life”
It seems Hunt is ready to continue to release more music and play shows again, so we’re excited to see what he has up his sleeve next. It’s clear from his social media that he is constantly writing, so we’re sure fans are in store for something big. Until then, congrats to Hunt and his team on their ninth number one song!
