Mitchell Tenpenny Reflects On His Future Goals in “Bucket List”
One of the newest and brightest acts in Nashville, Mitchell Tenpenny seems to be on the verge of a full-length sophomore album in the near future as he released another song titled “Bucket List” on New Year’s Day.
Tenpenny’s debut album Telling All My Secrets was released in December of 2018 and featured the hit song, “Drunk Me” which reached the number one spot on country radio and put his name on the map. Since then, he has released numerous singles including “Here,” “Broken Up,” “Can’t Go to Church,” a cover of Lewis Capaldi’s “Someone You Loved” and the certified gold track “Anything She Says” featuring Seaforth. He also released a Christmas EP this holiday season. In “Bucket List,” Tenpenny reflects on his life and realizes how short it can be. Inspired by COVID-19, he decides to not take his time on Earth for granted and vows to not only cross everything off his bucket list but to keep adding more to it.
“Find peace of mind in the time the good Lord gives / Imma cross one off, put two more on it / Say I love you ‘fore the moment’s gone / And never have to ask myself what is / When I get to the bottom of my bucket list”
