Megan Moroney Scores First Number One Single with “Tennessee Orange”

Megan Moroney scores her first number one single at country radio with her debut song, “Tennessee Orange.” Get all the details here.

Megan Moroney is an absolute superstar in the making. Her debut album, Lucky is one of the best records of the year so far and her fall, headlining tour is already sold out. If that is not exciting enough, Moroney and her team are celebrating another exciting feat. This week, the songstress’ debut single to country radio, “Tennessee Orange” officially marks her first number one.

While all of Moroney’s songs truly display her staying power, “Tennessee Orange” was the song that made everyone stop and listen. As a Georgia girl, Moroney would typically never root for the Tennessee Volunteers, but as the song says, [she’s] “wearing Tennessee orange for him.” A love song at heart, the single is all about the things you will do for love.

“I met somebody and he’s got blue eyes // He opens the door and he don’t make me cry // He ain’t from where we’re from // But he feels like home, yeah // He’s got me doin’ things I’ve never done // In Georgia, they call it a sin // I’m wearing Tennessee orange for him”
Congratulations to Megan and her team on scoring their first number one at country radio! There will definitely be more to come.
