Kameron Marlowe is one of the most exciting rising artists in country music right now. With each and every release, he showcases his talent, his charisma, and his star power. Today, the singer-songwriter adds another song to his growing catalog called, “Tennessee Don’t Mind.”
“Tennessee, she don’t mind, if I lead her on // She holds me even though she knows // In the morning I’ll be gone // Tennessee, she don’t know, just how good she is // There’s a mystery in the way she moves // pull she back again // and if I wanna stay awhile // If I get a little bit high // On the night and the whiskey // Underneath the bar room lights // She can always lead me home // Like a star in the southern sky // And if I’m lose she will take me home // into her arms tonight // Tennessee don’t mind”
On the new track, Marlowe leans into the craziness and honestly of being in the music industry. In February, the singer-songwriter shared a song called “Take Me Home,” which vulnerably touched on how it felt to weather the ups and downs of the music industry. “Tennessee Don’t Mind” expands on that notion, bringing more honest takes to the forefront.
According to Marlowe the song is almost like a love letter to Music City. “To me, Tennessee in this instance really represents Music City. There for sure is a give and take with chasing this dream, and especially the past two years have been a whirlwind. There’s a lot of ‘life’ we miss out on being on the road. It’s definitely something no one prepares you for. I feel the most at home on the road and sometimes that’s the scary part. The music just consumes you and sometimes and it’s hard to get out of your own head.”
