Just under a year ago, an unexpected pairing took to the stage at the 56th Academy of Country Music Awards. The duo was none other than Elle King and Miranda Lambert. The dynamic entertainers burst onto the stage with their new song, “Drunk (And I Don’t Wanna Go Home).” The song quickly became a hit with fans, and radio caught on quickly. This week, the single is the number one song at country radio.

The platinum-selling single is arguably one of the best country music collaborations to date. “Drunk (And I Don’t Wanna Go Home” showcases the incredible voices, sass, and intellect that both King and Lambert possess. The duet partners even took home the coveted ACM award for Video of the Year last month. We can only hope that King and Lambert continue to make music together going forward.

“So bartender, take my keys // What do you want from me? // Baby, I’m drunk, and I don’t wanna go home // Not staying in to fight // I’m staying out all night// Baby, I’m drunk, and I don’t wanna go home”

Congrats to King and Lambert on an incredible feat. “Drunk (And I Don’t Wanna Go Home) definitely deserved to snag the number one spot on the country charts this week!
