CRS 2020 New Faces of Country Music Announced

CRS 2020 New Faces

Earlier today, Country Radio Seminar (CRS) officially announced the CRS 2020 New Faces of Country Music Class of 2020.

The CRS New Faces of Country Music is one of the most coveted showcases of the weekend that spotlights five emerging artists that have achieved significant success in the country genre. This year, Ingrid Andress, Morgan Evans, Riley Green, Runaway June, and Mitchell Tenpenny were honored with the title.

Tenpenny is both a Swag Session alum, as well as, one of our 2018 Artists to Watch. We have been championing his career, since before his record deal, debut album, and before his number one single. Check out our Swag Session in the middle of Times Square in NYC below.

Like Tenpenny, Evans has been one of our favorites from the start. Just recently the rising artist performed at the Bowery Ballroom in New York City, where our team was there to support him for his headlining gig. We also named Evans one of our 2018 Artists to Watch, and he is proving why he deserved to be included on the list over the course of his career.

Both Green and Runaway June are unique talents that we have had the pleasure of hosting Swag Sessions with, as well as, named as Artists to Watch (2019 and 2017). Just about a year ago, Green talked with our founder, Stephanie Wagner about his climbing single, as well as, performed for us. “There Was This Girl” went on to go number 1 on country radio. As for the extraordinary female trio Runaway June, the ladies have had a masterful two years, solidifying themselves as the first female trio to enter the top 5 in over a decade.

Finally, Andress is one of the most promising new singer-songwriters to emerge this year. She has captivated audiences with her creative instincts, genius songwriter, and stunning vocals. We witnessed her magic at an exclusive showcase back in February, where our team was blown away by her unique talent.

Last year our team attending the seminar and the New Faces show which featured Russell Dickerson, Lindsey Ell, Jimmie Allen, LANCO, and Dylan Scott. Check out the full recap from the week here. It looks like the 2020 class will be just as entertaining!

The 50th annual Country Radio Seminar will take place this upcoming February 19th through February 21st at the Omni Hotel in Nashville, Tennessee. Be sure to keep up with New York Country Swag for all of the exclusive coverage from the three-day seminar.
