After releasing one of the most vulnerable and therapeutic songs to date “Man of the House,” Corey Kent is finally sharing his rendition of Post Malone’s song “Better Now” with the masses. The track, originally an Amazon exclusive, garnered love from fans across the genre. Kent puts his smooth, country sound to the hip-hop song.
“Better Now,” one of Post Malone’s most popular songs is a hard tune to make your own, but somehow, Kent finds a way. The addition of guitars adds a country flair to the song, while Kent’s vocals add an impressive flair to the track.
“I did not believe that it would end, no (end, no) // Everything came second to the Benzo (Benzo) // You’re not even speakin’ to my friends // You knew all my uncles and my aunts though // 20 candles, blow ’em out and open your eyes // We were lookin’ forward to the rest of our lives // Used to keep my picture posted by your bedside”
Kent is one of the most exciting artists in the country genre right now. His ability to transcend different sounds, while remaining true to his artistry is both enticing and exciting.
