Brenna Bone’s new song, “I Don’t Deserve You,” is out now, July 29th on all streaming platforms. Listen to the brand new track below.
We introduced you to singer-songwriter, Brenna Bone back in November. Upon discovering her music, we instantly fell in love with her fiery personality and her relatable lyrics. Her heartfelt song, “Break This Habit” had us reeling, while her new song, “I Don’t Deserve You” is an absolute confidence anthem.
At first glance, listeners may think that this song is about not being good enough for a love interest, but Bone flips that notion on its head. The jamming new song is actually about how you deserve to be treated with respect and love in a relationship. Bone sings about all the stupid things an ex does that she certainly does not deserve in a relationship. It is clear she is done being treated poorly. It is all about knowing your worth!
“A girl deserves to be her man’s one and only // Not just a number he calls when he’s lonely // And I guess if there’s anything that you’d shown me // It’s that, I don’t deserve you // Coming in at two // after doing what you do when I ain’t around”
The upbeat anthem is exactly what we needed heading into the second half of summer. It is no wonder that her fans on social media begged Bone to release it when she shared the demo.

Who is Madeline Consoer? The singer-songwriter joined us to chat about her journey to country music. Get to know the rising star here…
Quick Facts:
Full Name – Madeline Consoer
Birthday – January 16th, 1996
Hometown – Eagle River, Wisconsin
Musical influences – Shania Twain, Maren Morris, Taylor Swift
The Beginning:
Today our spotlight shines on an artist you might recognize from NBC’s hit show, The Voice. Madeline Consoer is a talented singer-songwriter, who charmed her way to the top 17 of the competition show, cut her teeth in Nashville, and now is finally working on her own artistry. It has been a long time coming for the incredible songstress.
Growing up in a very small town in Wisconsin, Consoer recalls always being into music. “I always knew I wanted to be a musician. I swear there was never anything else for me,” she shared. Confidently adding, “I knew, I was going to be a singer.”
As a child, the songstress remembers having movie nights with her parents. “I would always pick the Shania Twain live concert DVD,” she shared. “I loved it. I was so obsessed with it. I knew all the moves that she did on the stage […] She was, and still is, my biggest icon.”
Consoer continued to find inspiration in powerful female artists in the industry, such as Taylor Swift and later, Maren Morris and Kelsea Ballerini. “When you see them out there and making it, you’re like ‘I can do that.’”
At just fourteen years old, Consoer won her first music competition. “I got a waitressing job and did the competition at the place I worked at […] I was too young to even enter, but they let me do it anyway, and I won the whole thing,” shared the singer. She went on to play her first gigs every Tuesday night for a few summers.
The Turning Point:
After graduating high school, Consoer headed to Minnesota for college. Admittedly, she hated it, but thought it was something she had to do at the time. Eventually, on spring break at just nineteen years old, Consoer took a trip to Nashville that would go on to change her life.
“I came to Nashville on spring break and I got pulled up on stage when I was like 19 by this guy that I knew, because he had moved to Nashville prior and I sang a song,” she began. Adding, “the guy who booked the bands at Tootsies heard me, and asked “what are you doing Saturday?'”
Although she knew that she did not technically live in Nashville (yet), she auditioned anyway. She got hired on the spot. “I started playing in Nashville and then I had to make up this whole story that I had to go home,” adding later, “I went back to Wisconsin for a few weeks, packed everything up, and moved to Nashville.”
She began playing on Broadway, five to six nights a week, while continuing to write music and expanding to co-writing music with friends. “I started to use social media as a tool to reach out to people and form new connections.”
Eventually her hardworking and talent led her to land a spot at the blind auditions on The Voice. “It was the craziest experience of my life. […] Obviously, I got voted off, top 17. At first, I was really bummed at the time. But then I was like ‘Oh My Gosh, I have this huge audience now.’”
She later added, “Now I have 14K followers that want to hear my music. It was honestly this boost in confidence and work ethic.”
Today:
Since her experience on The Voice, Consoer yearned to create even more music. She slowed down her gigging on Broadway and decided to focus on her artistry. She got a day job and began to write and record music every waking moment that she could. “I released that cover of “Die From A Broken Heart.” It did so well for me. It got like 2.3 million views on TikTok on a video.”
Since then, Consoer has started to release original music. Just a few weeks ago, the singer-songwriter released her song “Wish You Away.” “I just remember saying don’t you wish you could go back to those good times again. When you were sixteen, you wished you were eighteen so you could go to college,” shared the artist. “You keep wishing these great years away because you just want to feel a bit older.”
Most recently, Madeline Consoer dropped her latest new track, a brand new song out called “How Do I Not.”
This is clearly just the beginning for Consoer. She will continue to share music, just as often as she has feelings, so keep your eyes and ears open! “I want to keep cranking them out to tell my story. […] This is what I do. I have to write these songs.”

Kane brown’s latest single “Grand”, out now, July 22nd, marks the fifth release off his upcoming 17-track album Different Man coming September 9th. Listen to the new track and get all the information below.
Kane Brown has released hit after hit so far this year. With his current single “Like I Love Country Music” climbing the charts, following “Leave You Alone” and “Whiskey Sour”, his latest release, “Grand”, is sure to follow in their success. Each of these, along with recent No. 1, “One Mississippi”, will be a part of Brown’s upcoming album Different Man set to release September 9th.
Written by Brown, Kameron Alexander, and Mike Posner, and produced by Andrew Goldstein, “Grand” stands out as the first of its kind in Brown’s music catalog. It shows his musical range and his unwillingness to have his music defined by one genre or style. “Grand” sitting alongside his other current singles is already proving just how eclectic this 17-track project will be, and we still have 12 more tracks to hear.
“Grand” is a simple ode of gratitude to the life he has, and a thanks to his family, friends, and fans for making it possible. It’s about living the life he’s always dreamed of, and wanting it to stay this way until the very end.
“Ain’t life grand // Only ones I keep around me is my fam // No coincidence, it’s always been the plan // And I always keep it trilly with the fans // Oh, ain’t life grand // And I love a little whiskey in my hand // Make it disappear then reappear again // Matter fact I never want this life to end until the end”

Warren Zeiders continues to prove why he made our coveted, 2022 Country Swag Artists to Watch list. On the heels of his latest EP, the singer-songwriter is releasing more new music. Today, he shared his brand new song, “Up To No Good.”
The song is easily an absolute jam. A catchy and irresistible melody backs incredible and emotive vocals. “Up To No Good” may be one of our favorite songs from Zeiders so far. According to a recent press release the song, “snaps like a touchdown pass from acoustic verses into an electric guitar-charged hook.” We agree.
“People talking, all my friends // Texting, calling, all weekend // Like why I ain’t seen you around // What’s the names tying you down // I don’t care cause they don’t know that // First she light that takes me over // Going out of my mind // Wrong never feel so right”

Nicolle Galyon’s debut album, firstborn., is out now, July 22nd on all streaming platforms. Take a listen and read our full review below.
Nicolle Galyon has been one of the most successful and important songwriters of the last decade. Her perspective on life is so unique and evocative: she writes so clearly about being a woman, mother, wife, friend, businesswoman, and so much more. The collection of music, firstborn., touches on all of these ideas and is performed in a way that really, only the songwriter herself could sing.
The first single from the project and track one is “winner.”, which is Galyon’s true introduction. First and foremost, she was born in a town called Winner, her mother had her when she was young, her birth father left when she was young, she’s learning how to balance being a mom and a successful writer… and while it’s a lot to take in, she is able to navigate it all, doing so poetically.
“The main catalyst was, ‘What would I want my kids to know about me?'” Nicolle says in a recent press release. “How would I want them to know me as a mother, woman, and creator if it all ended tomorrow? I had the concept and I just knew I wanted to write the album chronologically as if I was writing my memoir to my kids,” she says. “I wanted to do it now in real-time.”
Track two is the spectacular “sunflower.” about learning to accept her height — physically, being taller than the boys, but also being a strong presence wherever she goes. “You look the best when you’re looking up,” she sings. It’s hard enough to be a woman in the writing room – the add on wanting and being incredibly successful, joining the ranks of the “boy’s club”; it can be hard to feel proud enough to stand tall amongst said club.
“You might feel a little crazy // trying to fit in with them daisies // Someday It’s gonna be your superpower // It might take til 21 // but you’ll find your place in the sunflowers”
It’s a song for her, her daughter and all girl’s everywhere. For girls who are taller than others, and also girls who are ambitious and their presence stands tall/takes up space. Galyon is not only a songwriter, artist, mother – but she is a record executive/founder, for an all-women’s label, Songs & Daughters. This song is for all girls.
The writer’s list for firstborn. is like it’s own red carpet. Shane McAnally, Hillary Lindsey, Kelsea Ballerini, Sasha Sloan, Emily Weisband, to name a few. It’s not intentional: it’s just that Galyon is one of the best writers in Nashville and is surrounded by fabulous talent as well.
Several of the songs on the record are like social commentaries. “disneyworld.” is clever, but also weirdly nostalgic. “If it looks like I had it all // It’s because I skipped the ball // Never was a fan of fantasy”, she sings. “boy crazy.”, for instance, is incredibly catchy while being about the frustrating double standards that women face.
“If one second he’s laughing and one second later he’s angry // You wouldn’t call a boy crazy // Am I crazy or is something kinda messed up with the way // We never call the boy crazy?”
There are two songs on the project that were previously cut by other artists and two of Galyon’s biggest hits, “consequences.” (cut by Camilla Cabello) and “boy.” (cut by Lee Brice). Galyon’s own versions of the songs cut even deeper coming from the songwriter herself. Her delivery is more lived in – like there are more ink stains and smile lines that you can hear on the recordings.
Galyon would sing her version of Lee Brice’s “Boy” at songwriters rounds often, and her rendition of the beautiful song is a standout in particular. It’s incredibly moving to hear the perspective of a mother to her son. If “sunflower.” is for Charlie, her daughter, “boy.” is for her son, Ford.
“five year plan.” is a wonderful love song written solely by Galyon and her husband, prolific songwriter Rodney Clawson. The beginning of the song has audio of Galyon telling her children, Charlie and Ford, that their parents wrote a song together. It’s precious, and also like a time capsule within the song. There are also other samples, including audio of Natalie Hemby shouting Galyon out onstage while accepting their award for “Automatic” (Miranda Lambert’s Platnium, 2014). The melody and production is great, but the lyrics are what make this story. “Love don’t fit in a five year plan.”
“I’m doing this so that I have no regrets, so there’s nothing left on the table from me and my family and that I can be a good leader to my children,” she says. “If you have a gut instinct that you need to do something or create something or make something, don’t talk yourself out of it.”
Galyon does just that on the project, leaves nothing on the table, especially on the closing track, “death bed.” There are a lot of really evocative lyrics in it, such as, “You just weren’t in the car to see Superman cry,” but one of the best parts of this song is the stunning vocals. Galyon is able to truly establish herself as not only one of the best songwriter’s in town, but is also an amazing recording artist with a true vision. Not that the latter is surprising; few people are as visionary as Galyon is.
Nothing has been easy for Nicolle Galyon. Everything she has, she has earned rightfully so. Her talent and grit is apparent just by looking through her feed, but firstborn. gives people the opportunity to really get to know the woman behind their favorite songs. Boundaries will continue to be broken by Galyon, because that’s just her style. firstborn. is a close-to-perfect debut album. It’s a relief we finally get to hear Galyon’s voice – her perspective is always needed.
