Noah Thompson Releases Brand New Song “What You’re Made Of”

Noah Thompson’s new song, “What You’re Made Of” is out now, March 7th, on all streaming platforms. Listen to the brand-new track below.

Ever since Noah Thompson graces our screen on American Idol, it was clear that the singer-songwriter had a story tell and music to create. The rising star has proved time and time again that he will always create music that represent who he is as an artist. Thompson’s newest single, out today, “What You’re Made Of” is another incredible example of that.

The new song is raw, real, and vulnerable. Throughout the track, Thompson honestly depicts what it’s like to grapple with the devil on your shoulder, ultimately, eventually, to let the angel win. In a relatable way, the song is a message to all of us that sometimes life is messy, but ultimately a little grit is just going to make us exactly who we are meant to be.

“I’ve let the lies inside my mind, get the best of me // I try to fight but I’m my own worst enemy // I’m learning day by day // All good things take time // You can’t lose your faith // Just hold on tight // The path to heaven ain’t’ payed in gold // The devil knows where you wanna go // Get knocked down, dust yourself off // Keep on walking // Crash and burn // love and learn // Ain’t worth a damn if it don’t heart // One day you’re flying // The very next you’re falling // I guess what doesn’t break you // Sure is bound to make you // find out what you’re made of”

Thompson is the real deal. He knows where he comes from and he knows where he is going. “What You’re Made Of” is a perfect example of that.

Noah Thompson: ‘Middle Of God Knows Where’ – Debut EP Review

Noah Thompson releases new debut EP, Middle Of God Knows Where out now, June 9th, on all streaming platforms. Listen to the brand new EP below.

American Idol Season 20 winner Noah Thompson truly won the hearts of everyone during his season. Since making his debut as a country artist, Thompson has garnered a fanbase of loyal fans that continue to support him with each and every release. Today, fans are being rewarded with the singer-songwriter’s debut EP, Middle of God Knows Where, out now.

“Im so excited to have this project out, and I am so proud that Im finally releasing two songs that I co-wrote,shared Thompson in a recent press release. I named the EP, Middle of God Knows Where because I felt the title track is the heart of this project and one of the first I ever co-wrote that I felt was me. I’m so excited for the fans to hear it.”

The new project features six new songs, including fan-favorite, previously released tracks, “One Day Tonight” and “Make You Rich.” Both of those songs really set the foundation for what fans could expect from this debut. Additionally, Thompson made sure to add his cover of Rihanna’s song, “Stay.” The song was a special moment on the entertainer’s American Idol journey, so it feels like a perfect addition.

The record also features two songs that Thompson co-wrote, including the title track. On the title track, the singer expresses what it is like to go through heartbreak. Thompson also co-penned “Us No More.” The song clues the listener into what it is like to go through a public break-up. While also a break-up jam, “Us No More” is more anthemic, while “Middle of God Knows Where” feels more pensive. However, both songs beautifully showcase Thompson’s songwriting prowess, honesty, and authenticity.

Of course, the record would not have been complete without a romantic song called “She Gets It From Me.” Written by Michael Tyler, Chris LaCorte, and Ross Ellis, the track speaks to Thompson’s romantic and flirty side. The track adds another layer to the singer’s artistry, keeping fans excited for what’s to come.

Middle of God Knows Where is the perfect debut project for Thompson. Each of the six songs feel perfectly slated for the record. This marks just the beginning for the rising star.

Noah Thompson & HunterGirl Collab on New Version of “One Day Tonight”

Noah Thompson and HunterGirl collaborate on a new version “One Day Tonight,” out now, April 23rd, on all streaming platforms. Listen to the brand new track below.

American Idol stars, Noah Thompson and HunterGirl are giving fans what they want and collaborating! In celebration of Thompson’s iconic debut single, “One Day Tonight,” the twosome are reimagining the track. The catchy and romantic song gets a new spin, featuring the voices of both Thompson and HunterGirl.

The singers trade verses in the reimagined version of the swoon-worthy track. While Thompson’s version is heartfelt and raw, the new rendition feels complete, getting the perspective of both lovers in the song. “One Day Tonight” is the perfect background song to your love story. We can see this rendition becoming popular both on social media and at future weddings.

“She wants a wedding in September // Saved up all winter // Spend our summers in a fixer upper in Denver // She wants a girl and a boy and an // Old dog named Old Roy // Lord, I hope this old boy can give her that life // So go home girl // Pour a glass of wine // And dream out loud, talk about one day tonight”

Once again, Thompson and HunterGirl prove that they have a magical connection to one another. American Idol may have brought them together as friends and collaborators, but it is clear that these two will continue to be each other’s biggest cheerleaders. While Thompson and HunterGirl will continue to release their own music going forward, we hope there is another collaboration in the future too!

Who Is Noah Thompson? The Story Behind His Journey to Country Music

Who is Noah Thompson? The singer-songwriter joined us to chat about his journey to country music. Get to know the rising star here…

Quick Facts:

Full Name – Noah Thompson
Birthdate – 04/18/2002
Hometown – Blaine, Kentucky
Current City – Louisa, Kentucky (*Nashville, Tennessee in January 2023)
Musical Influences – Chris Stapleton, Neil Young, Kameron Marlowe, Morgan Wallen
Current Single – “Make You Rich” (*as of date of article: 11/14/22)

The Beginning:

Today, we are shining our spotlight on an artist that is as humble as he is talented. Noah Thompson, Season 2020 American Idol’s winner chatted with us about his journey thus far, new music, and everything in between.

“I’m just a small-town kid that basically came from the middle of nowhere,” began Thompson. “I grew up with a dad that was constantly embedding music into my brain from the time I came out of the womb, there was a guitar in my face.” The singer recalls gravitating towards rock and southern rock music growing up. “I loved Neil Young growing up. […] I listened to a lot of older artists, I listened to a mix.”

Despite loving music, Thompson never imagined he would become a recording artist. “It was always a dream for me to do this.” Interestingly though, it was not until after high school that he started really loving country music. “I didn’t really start getting into country music until right around the time I started to work with the boys I worked with straight out of high school,” adding later, “[It was] Keith Whitley, Eric Church […], These are the guys that got me into country.”

One of his co-workers and friends, Arthur Johnson even signed him up for American Idol, the show he went on to win.

The Turning Point:

“[Arthur Johnson] signed me up for a show called American Idol and I just kind of went into it out of the blue just to see what would happen, not knowing that I would end up winning it. […] It completely changed my life forever,” shared Thompson. “In my mind, I just wasn’t good enough and I would tell myself that […] But then along came Arthur and we were just sitting at work and he was like I’m going to sign you up and literally tricked me to coming down to audition for the producers over a phone call.”

Singing Kameron Marlowe’s “Giving You Up” at his judge’s audition, Thompson absolutely blew the judges away. Johnson even got to be there to cheer his buddy on. The experience was surreal for the singer-songwriter. “I freaking got a golden ticket and it went from there. The whole show was really just such a big learning experience for me,” he shared.

Of course, American Idol opened up doors for Thompson that he could only dream about. “I think about it every day. […] I get to play music now, hopefully for the rest of my life, and take care of my family this way. It’s pretty neat if you ask me,” shared the singer, adding, “I didn’t quite know what a record deal was, but I knew I always wanted one […] That was a very cool moment for me.”

Today:

Now, as a signed recording artist, Thompson is putting his stamp on the Nashville country music scene. Most recently, the singer released a song called, “Make You Rich,” the perfect song to encompass his journey thus far, despite being an outside cut.

Thompson recalls being pitched tons of songs, while on American Idol. “I was listening to so many songs, and we came across that song, “Make You Rich.” […] I really listened to the meaning of the words because I wanted something real and something I related to.” He found himself stuck between this song and “One Day Tonight.” While he originally went with the latter, post-show, his team encouraged him to record “Make You Rich” too.

The songs perfectly personify appreciating the little things and choosing to be a better person, a sentiment that Thompson spoke even during the interview. “I want to appreciate every little thing. I don’t want to ever feel like I need to change when it comes to that either.”

This is only just the beginning for the rising artist. As he finishes up his tour with fellow American Idol contestant, HunterGirl, Thompson is looking forward to sharing more music and officially moving to Nashville in the new year.

Noah Thompson Releases Brand New Song “Make You Rich”

Noah Thompson’s new song, “Make You Rich” is out now, October 21st, on all streaming platforms. Listen to the brand-new track below.

Fresh off his American Idol win, Noah Thompson is celebrating with a brand new, personal song. The small-town rising artist is never going to shy away from his humble roots. His new track “Make You Rich” embodies that sentiment to a tee.

Thompson’s vocals shine on the new track. “Make You Rich” is all about appreciating the little things and choosing to be a better person. The music video features touching clips of Thompson and his young son throughout, showcasing how important it is to the singer to be a good dad and a better role model for his son.

“Amen // I remember back when, the day I was heading up to Tennessee // We all joined hands by my beat-up van // And prayed this prayer for me // To be a better man like your ole man was // You gotta give a damn when nobody else does // Love your women like your paid to // Like you ain’t afraid to, like she was made for you”
