The Best Country Music Songs for Valentine’s Day

Valentine’s Day may be the most romantic day of the year, and Nashville’s biggest stars have you covered. Whether you want to get your significant other in the mood, or just want to show your appreciation for them, these 20 songs are a great way for you to express those feelings. Here are the best country music songs to add to your Valentine’s Day playlist.

“10,000 Hours” – Dan + Shay and Justin Bieber
I’d spend ten thousand hours and ten thousand more // Oh, if that’s what it takes to learn that sweetheart of yours”

Starting off with a fan-favorite, “10,000 Hours” by Dan + Shay and Justin Bieber is the ultimate love song. The singers are unapologetically proclaiming their love and dedication to their women.

“Here Tonight” – Brett Young
“We’re just one kiss away from heaven, so baby hold on tight // ‘cause I want to get wrapped up in your love”

In “Here Tonight,” Young is pleading with this girl to ignore the rest of the world for a little while and stay here with him tonight. She’s the only thing that matters to him right now.

“Love Me Like You Mean It” – Kelsea Ballerini
“If you’re gonna say and make me believe it // If you’re gonna love me boy // love me like you mean it”

In one of Ballerini’s first singles, she is informing this boy that she’s not interested in a quick fling. If he wants to love her, he better be ready to stay for the long haul.

“Kiss Somebody” – Morgan Evans
“I know just what you’re going through, ‘cause I wanna kiss somebody too // Kiss somebody like you”

Next up is Ballerini’s husband, Morgan Evans. “Kiss Somebody” is Evans’ first and only top-ten radio single, and he explains that sometimes a little kiss can cure all your problems.

“Hooked’ -Dylan Scott
“Land my lips on your cheek like I can’t get enough ‘cause I’m hooked”

Next is a song written by Evans. In “Hooked,” Scott explains how all it took was one look to get him obsessed with her. When he wakes up next to her in the morning, he knows this won’t be a one-night fling.

“Strip It Down” – Luke Bryan
“I just wanna love you so bad baby // so let’s close our eyes and strip it down”

Moving on to the physical love section of the list, “Strip It Down” by Bryan is on the appropriately named Kill The Lights album. He slowly and specifically describes what he wants to do with this girl, claiming this will fix all the relationship problems they have been having recently.

“Talk You Out of It” – Florida Georgia Line
“I’m lookin’ at that fine, little dress you got on // Don’t get me wrong girl, I love it // Now I just wanna talk you out of it”

Another steamy track, this couple is getting ready to hit the town for a night out. After seeing what his woman is wearing, all the man can think about is getting her home and seeing what is under the outfit.

“Ride”— Chase Rice
“I’ma take care of your body, I’ll be gentle, don’t you scream // It’s gettin’ hotter, make it softer, feel your chest on top of me”

Now for the most graphic song on the list, Rice doesn’t leave out any details of the “romantic” night.

“Just A Kiss” – Lady A
“Just a shot in the dark that you just might be the one I’ve been waiting for my whole life // So baby, I’m alright with just a kiss goodnight”

Lady A’s Hillary Scott and Charles Kelley play the roles of two new lovers that are struggling to contain their true feelings for one another. They fight their urges and listen to their common sense by just settling for a kiss goodnight.

“World for Two” – King Calaway
“So come here, make it all disappear like lovers do // Girl for you, I wish that I could build a world for two”

The singer is overwhelmed by the rest of the world; all he wants to do is devote all his attention to her.

“Holdin’ Her” – Chris Janson
“Well, I’m right at home when I’m holdin’ her”

Janson gives a four-minute biography of how his now-wife and new baby girl changed his outlook on life.

“Remind Me” – Brad Paisley and Carrie Underwood
“So on fire so in love // That look in your eyes that I miss so much // Remind me”

In this beautiful duet, the two former lovers are reminiscing on their past together and realize the feeling they once had was a special one that needed to be rekindled.

“You Make It Easy” – Jason Aldean
“Stealing kisses under covers, babe // See forever when I see your face // And I swear God made you for me”

Love is the best when it’s easy, and Aldean shows his gratitude for his woman in this track.

“Heaven” – Kane Brown
“You and me in this moment feels like magic, don’t it? // I’m right where I want to be”

In this song, Brown states he doesn’t believe that heaven could be better than laying in bed with the person you love; no feeling trumps it.

“The Good Ones” – Gabby Barrett
“A love me like he should one, like he wrote the book one // The kind you find when you don’t even look one”

In this song, Barrett praises her husband in the brightest lights. The song truly showcases what it is like to be loved and love back.

“Anything She Says” – Mitchell Tenpenny and Seaforth
“I would up and take a chance, have a talk with her old man, put a diamond on her hand // I would do, I’d do anything”

In this fun and upbeat track, the singer knows he has it good with this girl, so he would do anything she wants to keep her satisfied.

“Chasing After You” – Ryan Hurd and Maren Morris
“You come over when your wine’s all gone // Always catch me when I’m not that strong // Then your wind up staying all night long // Ain’t nothing new”

This track, starring Nashville’s power couple, is about an unhealthy relationship in which the woman only calls the man when she’s had a lot to drink. Because the man loves “chasing after her,” he always lets her in.

“Yours” – Russell Dickerson
“I came to life when I first kissed you // The best me has his arms around you // You make me better than I was before”

This wasn’t really a countdown, but we saved potentially the best three for last. At a time when Dickerson felt lost and alone, he thanks God for leading him to his now-wife.

“Die a Happy Man” – Thomas Rhett
“Oh, if all I got is your hand in my hand // Baby, I could die a happy man”

One of the biggest country sings of its era, Rhett says he would sacrifice all his dreams and possessions just to have his wife stay by his side for the rest of his life.

“Better Together” – Luke Combs
“It’s a match made up in heaven, like good ol’ boys and beer // And me, as long as you’re right here”

Probably the best first dance song a country-loving couple could have at their wedding, Combs lists all the things that go better together, including her first and his last name.
