This morning, ACM Duo of the Year nominees and our recent Swag Session guests LOCASH performed their current Top 30 single “Feels Like a Party” from their new album Brothers, live on ABC’s Good Morning America.  Before taking the stage, GMA anchor Cecilia Vega and multimedia personality Bobby Bones came out to introduce the group. Bones who was on a segment earlier this morning to talk about his job as the in-house mentor on American Idol, stuck around to do the honors of introducing them saying, “These are my buddies, these are my friends, here’s LOCASH with their new single “Feels Like a Party!”

As the duo took the stage you can see that the studio was packed with audience members on and off the stage. Even though it was just before 9 am LOCASH brought the party to the New York City studio o their album release day. They had everyone up on their feet moving around, waving and clapping along to their upbeat sing-along song. The duo ended the morning show on a high note, giving everyone in the studio and watching at home an energized performance to wake up to.

Make sure to check out LOCASH’s brand new studio album Brothers, which is available everywhere you buy or stream music. The duo is currently playing shows and festivals around the US and will be joining Chris Young on his Raised On Country Tour, as well as Rascal Flatts Summer Playlist Tour on select dates. NYCS First Impression LOCASH ‘Brothers’

LOCASH Brothers

LOCASH’s highly anticipated album Brothers is officially available everywhere you buy or stream music. This is the duos first full-length album release on their new record label, Wheelhouse Records/ Broken Bow Records. Brothers features eleven tracks including songs written by Nashville’s top songwriters. This new album is all about brotherhood, positivity, and bringing people together. Listeners first taste of the duo’s cheerful project was back in August with the release of their single “Feels Like a Party”. This track well deservingly debuted at country radio as #1 most added. It was written by LOCASH’s own Preston Brust and Chris Lucas along with the co-producers, Florida Georgia Line’s Tyler Hubbard and Corey Crowder.

The album starts off with a track called “One Big Country Song” and it’s exactly what the title sounds like. The ACM Duo of the Year nominees sang this one during our Swag Session earlier in the week and it sets the tone for the entire record. Written by Jesse Frasure, Ashley Gorley, and upcoming artist Michael Hardy, this song is a fun, upbeat, potential single that’ll get everyone weekend ready. Next, the track “Summer in a Truck” is the first song you need to start a summer playlist. The writers include Ben Hayslip, Zach Crowell, and the one-and-only Rhett Akins. This is a window down, radio up, and a beach-ready track that can take over country radio during the summertime.

There are two drinking tracks that are going to catch fans attention. One is “Cold Beer Kinda Night” written by Chris DeStefano, Ashley Gorley, and Rhett Akins. The lyrics of this catchy tune will be stuck in your head right after listening to it.“Whatcha’ say we go / Crank up the radio / Old Alabama singing feels so right / Pop a top or two / Baby right with you until the moon runs out of light”

The other drinking track “Beers to Catch up On” is penned by Rhett Akins, Jeremy Stover, and Paul DiGiovanni. The chorus includes the lyrics “We got some years / We got some beers to catch up on” talking about going back in time to their childhood and reminiscing on the fun they used to have.

Although the title is Brothers, the album encourages a positive message of everyone getting along, seeing past our differences and enjoying life.  We can already see the fans at their live show singing along to each track, waving lighters in the air and lifting up their drinks toasting to a great night of music.

Brothers is now available everywhere you buy or stream music. Take a listen below and check out more new recently released music here on our ‘New Country Music’ playlist. Be sure to give the playlist a follow for your weekly new country music fix.

LOCASH Releases Title Track to Their Next Album “Brothers”

LOCASH Brothers

Just ahead of their next album release, which will be available next Friday, March 29th, LOCASH has released the title track as a teaser for all fans. “Brothers” is a mid-tempo song that is not only relatable but also, nostalgic.

Whether or not you share a bloodline, “Brothers” will hit home, for buddies who have grown up together, people who have become like family or even those who faced the military together, this song showcases the tried and true bond that is created.

Whatever bonds you together, those ties will never be broken. “At the end of the day, we are all brothers and sisters. We’ve all seen our share of sunshine and rain (I know Preston and I certainly have),” says LoCash’s Chris Lucas in a recent press release. “In order to get through it all, we all need to lean on each other. This album is all about recognizing that brotherhood and bringing people together.”

“You call me out when I’m trippin’ /  pour ’em strong when I’m sippin’ / If I holler at my boy, you’ll be there in a minute / yeah, you know I got your back, yeah we’ve been down like that, since we were bad boys with some fast toys on the backroads we ride / it’s the way it is, couple crazy kids until the day we die /  I’m like lightning, your like thunder / you get one you get the other, brothers”

The duo will head to NYC for album release week, be on the lookout for performance with NYCountry Swag on Wednesday, March 27th. The ACM Duo of the Year nominees are gearing up for a big summer, heading on the Raised On Country Tour with Chris Young, Chris Janson, Dylan Scott, and Jimmie Allen.

MyCountry 96.1 Secret Show

Long Island Packs Stereo Garden For Secret Holiday Show

Brown and Gray

Each year MyCountry 96.1, a country radio station out on Long Island puts on a secret show.  The artists remain a secret until they hit the stage which is an exciting way to attract their listeners and fans.  The opening act, Brown and Gray took the stage as the venue filled up.  They played their latest Christmas song, “It’s Not Christmas (’til you come around)” along with their debut single “Top Down” which has been spinning on the radio station for the past few months.  For more about the duo check out our Live Swag Sessions.

Carly Pearce

A quiet hush came over the crowd as MYCountry’s DJ’s Phathead and Jay Letterman took the stage to announce the next secret act to take the stage. Already having an incredible year, adding another accomplishment on Monday, having her single “Hide the Wine” go most added to radio, Carly Pearce was announced.  Pearce sang songs off of her debut album, Every Little Thing including “Color”, “Careless” and of course her first single which hit the top of the charts “Every Little Thing”.

Brett Young Secret

As the DJ’s took the stage again, the surprise was a little anti-climatic when high pitched screamed interrupted their introduction because one of country’s biggest rising stars, Brett Young walked onto the stage.  Young who’s voice is smooth and unique in this genre performed songs off his debut album including his number one hit “In Case You Didn’t Know” and his debut single “Sleep Without You”.  He also sang a haunting version of Leonard Cohen’s “Hallelujah”.  He spent time thanking country radio, specifically MyCountry 96.1 for not only playing his music but for helping him achieve so many accolades over the past year.

LoCash Secret Show

The final act to play the secret holiday show was LoCash, the duo who enjoyed their first number one single “I Know Somebody” earlier this year.  They sang their radio hits as well as a cover of a song they wrote that Keith Urban cut “You’re Gonna Fly” and a venue-wide sing-a-long of Garth Brooks’ classic “Friends in Low Places”.

Listeners of the station stayed well into the weeknight to dance and sing to their favorite artists all thanks to MyCountry 96.1.  For more on the radio station click here.
