Here are all of Kane Brown’s number one songs on country radio in his music catalog. The singer-songwriter has twelve number ones to his name.

We love reminiscing about all the great country music to hit country radio over the last few years. In this series, we’re looking back on the songs that made it to the top of the country airplay charts. Today, we’re highlighting songs in Kane Brown’s career that hit the number one spot.

 

 

 

 

“What Ifs” – Kane Brown

Brown’s third single was the first to top the charts for the young, rising star. The song features his friend and former classmate, Lauren Alaina. The two singers contemplate what their lives would be like if one of them made a move and initiated a relationship. This duet also reached the top spot on the Billboard Country chart as well.

 

“Heaven”- Kane Brown

This song was featured on the deluxe version of his debut album. Brown reflects on his relationship and the afterlife, doubting that Heaven will outdo the magic and simplicity of lying in bed with the love of your life.

 

“Lose It”– Experiment

This song was the lead single for Brown’s sophomore album. Brown mentions all the things he wants to lose—his cell phone, the directions to the party, the bobby pins holding up his girl’s hair, and the dress she is wearing—so that he and she could “lose it.” The pop-influenced production on this track uniquely blended with the fiddle, setting up the “experimental” music phase Brown was about to enter.

 

“Good As You” – Experiment

In this track, Brown simply sings about how great his wife is and how he strives to be as good as her one day. The music video, however, suggests this is an ode to his guardians, specifically his grandmother, who cared for him when he was young. 

 

“Homesick” – Experiment

In the final single off his sophomore album, Brown discusses his quick rise to fame and how hard it is being away from his wife while on the road. Like “Good As You,” the message is different than what the lyrics indicate. In the music video and at his live shows, he dedicates this song to all the soldiers who have been away from home for years while serving our country.

 

“Famous Friends” (with Chris Young) – Famous Friends

Brown hopped on his good friend, Chris Young’s single about small-town fame. The song highlights individuals that are extremely popular in their hometown—the high school quarterback, the sheriff, the preacher, etc.—but people on the outside would have never heard of. This fun, upbeat song hit number one in July of 2021, and is still used predominately on ESPN’s “Monday Night Football” as the background song before they go to commercial.

 

“One Mississippi”- Different Man

This song is about a couple that is having trouble officially ending their relationship. It seems as though every time one of them goes out and gets a little drunk, they wind up back in each other’s arms by the end of the night.

 

“Like I Love Country Music” – Different Man

One of Brown’s most “country” songs to date serves as the second single off his latest album. In this upbeat jam, he compares his love for his girl to his love for country music, referencing legends in the genre such as Alan Jackson, Willie Nelson, George Jones, Johnny Cash, and Brooks & Dunn. The music video takes place in a honkytonk with Brown leading the group of line dancers. 

 

“Thank God” – Different Man, 2023

Brown has had many different artists join his songs in the past, but this feature is a little more special. His wife, Katelyn, makes her radio debut as the two thank a higher power for bringing them together.

 

“Bury Me In Georgia” – Different Man

A true ode to his home state, Brown’s single “Bury Me in Georgia,” climbed the country charts fast. While the song is about where he wants his final resting place to be, it reads like a love note to his home state. Much like his love for his fanbase, the entertainer also has a great appreciation for the state that raised him.

 

“I Can Feel It” – The High Road

Kane Brown scores his eleventh number one single with this lead single off his upcoming fourth studio album. The song is the perfect blend of country overtones mixed with a fun, pop-tempo beat, making it a perfect hit for Brown.

 

“Miles On It” ft. Marshmello – The High Road

“Miles On It’ is a complete vibe. The song feels fresh and weekend ready. Both Brown and Marshmello are at their absolute best on this song. Brown easily skirts the line between country music and other genres, while always feeling authentic. “Miles On It” is one of those songs that is easy to play again and again!

Kane Brown: ‘Different Man’ – Album Review

Kane Brown’s new album, Different Man is out now, September 9th on all streaming platforms. Take a listen and read our full review below.

Since bursting onto the country music scene in 2015, Kane Brown has become one of country music’s fastest rising superstars. Today, the singer-songwriter releases his third album, Different Man, which features seventeen new tracks that run the gamut of styles.

For the Sony Music Nashville superstar, Different Man allows him to explore a wide array of sounds and styles while still remaining true to himself as an artist. One of Brown’s core tenants has always been his fans and this is ever-consistent on this album, as Brown relied on them to choose the cover art, which was then revealed on Paramount’s Times Square Billboard.

As dedicated as Brown is to his fans, he’s also dedicated to the state of Georgia, where he was raised. In fact, both the album’s opening and closing tracks revolve around the state, with the opener (“Bury Me in Georgia”) imploring those he leaves behind to give him a final resting place in Georgia while its bookend (“Dear Georgia”) reads as more of a love letter. The opening track kicks off with somber church bells before kicking up a one-two country beat, with Brown singing, “Bury me in Georgia, let me rest in peace // Underneath the pines, where my roots run deep,” He sings. “When I die, bury me in Georgia.”

The album’s title track is an immediate standout, Brown trading verses with Blake Shelton on the dark and brooding tune. Here, the pair are questioning their purposes in life, wondering if they were made for the stage and not small town life. “What if I was made for the stage? // What if I was made for the lights? // What if I was chosen to write the stories?” They ask. “Wasn’t built to work the line // Oh what if I was different?”

Another highlight of the album is “Thank God,” a folksy ballad featuring Brown’s wife, Katelyn, as his duet partner. Here, the pair share verses of how thankful they are to have found each other. “Thank God I get to wake up by your side // Thank God your hand fits perfectly in mine,” the pair sing. “Thank God you loved me when you didn’t have to // But you did and you do and He knew // Thank God for giving me you.”

Other romantic moments of the collection include the sweet “Nothing I’d Change,” the bouncy “See You Like I Do,” and “Leave You Alone,” a smooth and soulful ballad that shows Brown’s R&B influences. 

Throughout Different Man, Brown celebrates his influences, stretching himself beyond country music. This is most apparent on songs like “Drunk or Dreaming,” which has hints of Margaritaville, “Grand,” a hip-hop-infused celebration of life, and “Riot,” a darker promise to defend his family at all costs. Speaking to the New York Times, the star revealed that, with “Grand” he leaned into the naysayers. “I released ‘Grand,’ and there are so many comments that are saying, ‘This isn’t country.’ It’s like, ‘No [expletive]. I wasn’t trying to make this country.” 

However, there’s plenty of straight country on Different Man as well, including “Go Around,” “Like I Love Country Music,” “Whiskey Sour,” and “Pop’s Last Name.” The latter is a tribute to his grandfather, while “Go Around” is a radio-ready mid-tempo about approaching a girl in a bar. Likewise, “Whiskey Sour” is another clear highlight, Brown drowning his sorrows over love lost in the drink, recalling the first his ex bought him to the ones he finds himself lost in now.

On Different Man, Brown allows himself the grace to remain absolutely true to himself. “I used to always be nervous about what people were going to think, and I was kind of scared — I didn’t want people to think that I was leaving country music because that’s my heart,” Brown revealed to the New York Times. “But now, it’s just to the point where it’s like, I’m a dad now, two kids; I care what they think. So I’m just not that scared kid anymore.”

In his career, Kane Brown has managed to turn from country hopeful to bonafide, cross-genre, superstar! Continuing his impressive top radio hits, Brown’s song “Like I Love Country Music” is officially number one at country radio.

The singer-songwriter released the radio single just a few months ago. “Like I Love Country Music” catapulted to top of the charts week after week, overtaking artists like Cole Swindell, Luke Combs, and Carrie Underwood (all currently sitting in the top ten). The single is an upbeat and undoubtedly ‘country’ jam, where Brown compares his love for his girl to his love for country music. Clearly resonating with fans, it was only a matter of time before the song went number one.

Kane Brown Drops New Song “Grand” Ahead of Next Album

Kane Brown has released hit after hit so far this year. With his current single “Like I Love Country Music” climbing the charts, following “Leave You Alone” and “Whiskey Sour”, his latest release, “Grand”, is sure to follow in their success. Each of these, along with recent No. 1, “One Mississippi”, will be a part of Brown’s upcoming album Different Man set to release September 9th. 

Written by Brown, Kameron Alexander, and Mike Posner, and produced by Andrew Goldstein, “Grand” stands out as the first of its kind in Brown’s music catalog. It shows his musical range and his unwillingness to have his music defined by one genre or style. “Grand” sitting alongside his other current singles is already proving just how eclectic this 17-track project will be, and we still have 12 more tracks to hear. 

“Grand” is a simple ode of gratitude to the life he has, and a thanks to his family, friends, and fans for making it possible. It’s about living the life he’s always dreamed of, and wanting it to stay this way until the very end.

Kane Brown Drops New Song “Like I Love Country Music”

Kane Brown’s new song, “Like I Love Country Music” is out now, May 6th, on all streaming platforms. Listen to the brand new song below.

Kane Brown found his niche—blending elements of pop and R&B into country, while featuring some of music’s biggest artists, to create a new and unique sound. However, Brown is also not afraid to work fiddle and steel into his songs every now and then. “Like I Love County Music” is an upbeat and undoubtedly ‘country’ jam in which he compares his love for his girl to his love for country music. He even references several country music icons such as Alan Jackson, Willie Nelson, George Jones, Johnny Cash, and Brooks & Dunn.

This name-dropping trend has become very popular in county music over the last few years. Other songs like this include Lauren Alaina’s “Ladies In The 90s;” Old Dominion’s “Song For Another Time;” Walker Hayes’ “90s Country;” Zac Brown Band’s “Old Love Song;” and Thomas Rhett’s “What’s Your Country Song.” It seems Brown and his co-writers (Matthew McGinn, Taylor Phillips, and Jordan Schmidt) wanted in on the fun of writing a puzzle-building piece like this. If released to radio, we could see this catchy tune topping the charts!

Brown left his comfort zone when he first started collaborating with artists outside the genre, but now since that’s become almost the norm for him, it is almost like making a pure country song with pounding electric guitar and a fiddle solo is uncharacteristic. It is really exciting to see him have success on both sides of the fence and says a lot about his musical creativity and talent.

With double albums also becoming a trend, it would be cool to see him release a record where one side of the vinyl has pop tunes, and the other has country tracks like this one. Speaking of albums, Brown must be close to one, with several standalone singles such as “Leave You Alone,” “Whiskey Sour,” “Blessed and Free” with H.E.R., “Memory” with blackbear, and his recent number-one “One Mississippi.” His latest project was Mixtape, Vol. 1, which came out in August of 2020. His last full-length album was 2018’s Experiment.

The second leg of Brown’s Blessed and Free Tour continues tomorrow in his hometown of Chattanooga. It hits the Tri-State area on June 4th with back-to-back shows at Mohegan Sun Arena in Connecticut. He also just announced a Canadian, Australian, and European Tour starting in September. For tickets, head to his website.

There is nothing not to love when Kane Brown sings about his wife, Katelyn. The now parents of two, who welcomed their second baby girl, Kodi Jane, at the end of the year are arguably one of the best country music families to follow on social media.

“Leave You Alone” is Brown’s way of telling his wife he’s not going anywhere. Even though sometimes he makes mistakes and life isn’t always perfect, he needs her to know that no matter what, he is never going to leave her alone. He’s going to be there, wherever she is, just like her favorite pair of jeans with the hole in the pocket.

2022 ACM Award Nominees Announced ft. Morgan Wallen, Kane Brown & More

The nominees for the 2022 57th Annual ACM Awards, scheduled for March 7th in Las Vegas are here! Check them out below.

Earlier today, the nomination announcements for the 57th Annual ACM Awards were revealed! The show’s biggest categories such as the coveted ‘Entertainer of the Year,’ and respective Female and Male Artist of the Year were announced.

Leading the pack is Chris Young with seven nods, including three nominees for his single with Kane Brown, “Famous Friends.” Respectively, Carrie Underwood and Miranda Lambert were both nominated for Entertainer of the Year, marking the first time in eight years, two women have been up for that category.

Other notable nominees include Jimmie Allen’s nod for Male Artist of the Year and Morgan Wallen’s four nominations, after not being allowed to compete last year.

This year, the show returns back to Las Vegas at a new venue, the new Allegiant Stadium. The show will broadcast commercial-free at 8 PM ET on Amazon’s streaming Prime Video, marking the first exclusively streaming award show!

Kane Brown Drops Brand New Song “Whiskey Sour”

Kane Brown’s new song “Whiskey Sour” is out now, January 14th on all streaming platforms. Learn more about the new track below.

Brown first teased the track on Instagram on December 26th. The video features him in his kitchen lip-singing along to the first verse. Brown sings the chorus next to the speaker blaring the somber tune. The story centers around two young lovers talking about their forever until one day, much to the man’s surprise, she ends the relationship. What was once a drink they often shared together now becomes the liquid pain relief he needs to forget her memory. While drowning himself at the bar, he starts to wonder if her words matched her true feelings and if she ever loved him at all. 

“So now I take my whiskey sour // Sitting barside after hours // Thinking how can I get over // If the love was never ours // Hell, I know you got my message // All my X’s and my O’s // And it kills me by the hour // Now I take my whiskey sours alone”

Penned by Josh Hoge, who has written many other songs for Brown including “Used To Love You Sober, “Cool Again,” and “One Thing Right,” alongside Adam Craig and Jaxson Free, the writing is clever and often poetic. While the chorus takes place in present day, the first verse paints detailed a picture of the high point of their relationship, and the second takes the listeners back to the night they first met. The rhyme scheme is super catchy, and the light acoustic guitar melody mixed with a heavy dose of fiddle makes this a neo-traditional masterpiece; a sound Brown has slowly been fading from. Right when you think he’s abandoned his southern roots, collaborating with pop-stars such as Khalid and Swae Lee, blackbear, and  H.E.R., he comes right back with this beautiful, heart-wrenching country ballad. 

With his seven-track mixtape and all these new singles, fans can expect the announcement of a new album in the near future. For now, you can catch Brown on his Blessed and Free Tour with supporting acts Chase Rice and Restless Road, which happens to stop in New York City at Madison Square Garden tomorrow night at 7 pm.
