Danielle Bradbery Debuts New Song “Stop Draggin’ Your Boots”

Danielle Bradbery’s new song “Stop Draggin’ Your Boots” is available now, July 30th, on all streaming platforms. Take a look below as we dig a little deeper into the new song.

Just a few days after her birthday, Danielle Bradbery is gifting a new song to fans, marking her first new track since “Girls In My Hometown.” Today, the songstress debuts her new song “Stop Draggin’ Your Boots.”

The mid-tempo track is one that highlights Bradbery’s talent perfectly. The lyrics convey a girl who is telling a wishy-washy boy that he needs to make a decision. Confident and self-assured, the singer is the perfect advocate for a person who is dealing with a relationship, where a person is dragging their feet. Of course, interchanging the word “feet” for “boots” is a genius way to bring country meets pop-country tune.

“Sometimes you’re in, sometimes you’re out // Sometimes a girl gotta put a foot down // Stop draggin’ you boots // Up under my porch // Kicking mud off your heels // Knocking on my door // Thinking I’ll let you leave them by my bed on the floor // You ain’t gonna crash your party here no more // You better get to walking if you don’t love what you got // Either love me or not // Just stop draggin’ your boots”

We love seeing women in country music stake their claim and stand in their power. Bradbery does just that with her new song! “Stop Draggin’ Your Boots” is one of our favorite songs from the singer yet.

Danielle Bradbery Unveils New Song “Girls In My Hometown”

Danielle Bradbery released a brand new song, “Girls In My Hometown” available on all streaming platforms now.

One good thing that has come out of 2020 is Danielle Bradbery’s return to music. The Voice winner and country songstress broke her music silence with the captivating song “Never Have I Ever,” and now she is showcasing her talent yet again in “Girls In My Hometown.”

We first heard this ballad back at Country Radio Seminar, (CRS) during one of the many exclusive industry showcases. The live version blew us away and this newly recorded version certainly does it justice. “Girls In My Hometown” is a poignant tune about feeling jaded and nostalgic about life and wondering about the people from your past.

This song is honest and relatable and truly showcases how women feel all the time in life. Written by one of our favorite songwriters, Nicolle Galyon, along with Josh Osborne and Emily Weisband, the lyrics are just as profound, as the vocals, and the acoustic arrangement.

Danielle Bradbery New Song Girls In My Hometown

“Are they getting married / Are they getting jaded / When they think 17 do they think of me and wonder if I made it / Are they really happy / Are they making daddy proud / What makes them cry, what gets them high / I think about the girls in my hometown”

Bradbery outdoes herself with this song, as she really leans into her vulnerability. She poses questions that many of us have experienced ourselves, which truly shows the beautify of universality on this track. We give credit to the songstress for expanding her artistry!

Danielle Bradbery Breaks Musical Silence with “Never Have I Ever”

Never Have I Ever

It’s been almost four years since our ears have been filled with the captivating tranquility that emanates from the season four winner of NBC’s The Voice, Danielle Bradbery. In 2017, the artist released her sophomore album, I Don’t Believe We’ve Met, and it exceeded any expectations one might hold of a singing competition alum. This 23-year-old stunner gracefully embodies that shows such as The Voice are capable of producing true musicians.

Now, her latest single “Never Have I Ever” is here to break the silence, announcing her much-anticipated return. It is a dense track with the accompaniment of piano, guitar, and drums. Still, her mature voice lays comfortably over the production to allow the lyrics to soar with ease.

“Never have I ever lost my mind / Over someone simply saying my name / How did you make me the chasing kind? / ‘Cause never have I ever / Believed that a fantasy / Could be more than a dream / I’m getting caught up / Saying too much / Look what you’ve done to me”

This love letter over chords and keys sums up all those emotions that surface when we fall for someone, almost canceling out the relevance of any other previous affair. The magical relationship blossoms into a near darn fairytale that disregards any prior notion that we had ever been in love.

“Never Have I Ever” disagrees with past releases such as “Potential” and “Worth It” that concentrate on the hollow connection between two people that don’t fully value one another. In fact, the latter 2017 single seems to showcase one perspective while the following track gives a voice to the other side of the story. These opposing tracks portray the many layers to what Bradbery has to say as well as the vast talent that is shown with each lyric sung.

Anonymous Group out of Nashville Release “beYoutiful”

Neon PPL

A group of anonymous talented creators from Nashville, Tennessee recently released a touching song called “beYoutiful.” The group calls themselves ‘neonPPL,’ and consists of songwriters, producers, and musicians that have yet to share their individual identities.   A female singer from neonPPL collaborated with rising county artists, Lindsay Ell, Danielle Bradbery, and Joy Williams on the empowering track.

From the first verse, the heartfelt song lyrically paints the important message of staying true to who you are and not allowing outside pressures to influence your self-esteem or self-worth. The empowering message of self-love comes across effortlessly as the members of neonPPL, Bradbery, Ell, and Wiliams blend their voices effortlessly. “You don’t have to be a hero / Back in your hometown / You ain’t gotta be a shooting star / When the sun goes down / Or an angel, or an outlaw, or the next John Wayne / Don’t gotta be the right size in the bright lights with the right last name / BeYOUtiful / Be YOUtiful / You’re the only one who can be you, so do you the best you can.””

The song is available across all streaming platforms. Take a listen below.

Although not much is known yet about neonPPL, the collective group has been said to be comprised of talented musicians, songwriters, producers, and others, stemming from Nashville’s country music scene. Fans can expect neonPPl to continue collaborating with other artists, as they continue to release more songs.

The groups’ goal is to be a light and spread positive messages to music lovers like they have in “beYOUtiful,” a self-love anthem. One of the founders of neonPPL shared with Billboard about the uniqueness of the group in a recent interview, “We are already an established group of individuals and could have easily used that to our advantage. Instead, we wanted the singular voice of awesomeness to be heard. That doesn’t mean that we are awesome, but that positive message is. Sometimes it’s easy to overlook that in a competitive environment to get the ‘next big hit.’”

We look forward to seeing what neonPPl does next. Keep up with the group via Twitter.

Danielle Bradbery Releases Back to the Basics ‘The Vocals’ EP

The Vocals

Although we all appreciate a good tailgating song or a party anthem, there’s something so special about the art of story-telling that is so prevalent in country music. Rising country star and one of NYCountry Swag’s 2018 Artists to Watch, Danielle Bradbery brought listener’s back to the basics with the recent release of her 3-song EP, I Don’t Believe We’ve Met (The Vocals).

The songstress dropped this EP, for fans as a celebration of her debut album, I Don’t Believe We’ve Met’s first birthday. Bradbery shared on Twitter, “I Don’t Believe We’ve Met is one year old today! The process of writing, recording, & releasing this record allowed me to rediscover myself. I wanted to pay tribute to those moments.” The EP features three of the most poignant and heartfelt songs on the original album, including her hit, “Worth It,” “Human Diary,” and “Potential.”

The three-song project features stripped down vocals of the tracks, allowing the lyrics to take the spotlight. Bradbery’s vocals are vulnerable and evoke pure, raw emotion, reminding fans of her one of a kind musical gift. The 22-year-old recording artist has plenty to be proud of this past year and this celebratory release is another accomplishment.

Sharing in a recent press release, the songstress reflected on the EP, “Coming back to these songs a year later I recognize that I have grown into a stronger, more independent woman. I am proud of that growth, but I am also proud of the music that provided me with the ability to keep going. Being that today marks one year since the release, we decided to pay tribute to that music and the moments along the way.”

The singer-songwriter will embark on her 6-spot opening gig, beginning on January, 31st 2019 in Virginia, on Kane Brown’s ‘Live Forever Tour.’ Additionally, Bradbery will be a centerpiece at many music festivals this year, including, Tortuga Music Festival, Stagecoach Music Festival, and Country LakeShake Festival. NYCS 2018 Artist to Watch Where Are They Now: Danielle Bradbery

Danielle Bradbery

Here at New York Country Swag, we pride ourselves on being tastemakers, finding and championing new and up-and-coming artists and introducing our followers to the best of the best of the rising acts. Back in January of this year we named the 10 artists below in our “Artists to Watch in 2018” and we are proud to say, we know rising talent before they make it big. Someone to add to your watchlist is Danielle Bradbery.

Danielle Bradbery is Big Machine Recording’s newest upcoming artist who is making quite the name for herself. Throughout this past year, she has been making huge strides in the music business. Bradbery’s newest album I Don’t Believe We’ve Met was one of our favorites released last year. The 10-track album shows the singer as someone who puts meaningful thoughts into her powerful lyrics. From first listen, Bradbery’s latest album is a remarkable testament to the artist who is finally choosing her own path. As a 16-year-old, Bradbery took the reality competition, The Voice, by storm with her strong vocal ability and sweet nature. Now, 21, she understands the importance of being honest with yourself and making the music that you feel best represents you.

Released this past summer, “Goodbye Summer” was Bradbery’s newest single. Racking up streams and airtime around the country, the song has become a summer anthem. The reimagined track also features country superstar Thomas Rhett which just adds an unquestionable strength as a duet. What fans may not know is the song was actually written by Rhett. The two have become quite good friends since Bradbery moved to town and he has helped her get a good jump into the industry.  Singing their hearts out on the sandy beaches of Florida, the video was released and has gathered over 600,000 views. Just like the song, the video also unfolds a summer romance story between a girl and boy, falling in love and spending the whole summer together, until September rolls around and they part ways.

Bradberry also took a selfless approach to the area she filmed the video in. Shot on the beaches where Hurricane Michael hit, she saw how the town was affected. She teamed up with the Rosemary Beach Foundation to help raise funds for the rebuilding and aiding of the surrounding areas. If that was not enough to make you fall in love with her, she has also connected with ABLE, a Nashville-based lifestyle brand. Bradbery and ABLE created a line of jewelry that incorporates her single, “Worth It.” The singer-songwriter designed a number of accessories within the collection, including a ring, necklace, bracelet and more, all of which have the words “Worth It” engraved on each piece of jewelry. The proceeds from these sales go to help people in need in Nashville and beyond.

Bradbery has quite the new year planned as she will head out on the road with Kane Brown as a supporting act for his ‘Live Forever Tour’ this winter. She also has teased that a third album is in the works and says that she is writing every single song on the album, so if this last one is any indication for the next, it will be nothing short of remarkable and inspirational. Danielle Bradbery & Thomas Rhett Debut “Goodbye Summer” Music Video

Big Machine Recording artist, Danielle Bradbery has debuted the official music video for her latest single “Goodbye Summer” featuring country superstar Thomas Rhett.  “Goodbye Summer” is a reimagining of “Hello Summer,” a solo track featured on Bradbery’s sophomore record, I Don’t Believe We’ve Met. Penned by Rhett, Rhett Akins, Jaren Johnston, and Julian Bunetta, the song delves into the highs and lows of a summer love. Rhett’s added vocal presence on the updated duet version shifts the one-sided story to a perspective from both sides of the bittersweet tales of a summer fling. This rendition focuses more on the “goodbye” part of the song, adding emphasis to the “hello to my broken heart” lyric.

Directed by Shaun Silva, the video features Bradberry and Rhett belting it out on the sandy beaches and boardwalks of 30A in Rosemary Beach, Florida. The video also unfolds a summer romance story between a girl and boy, the girl working at a beach resort and the boy being a guest at the resort. The two seem to fall quickly in love, spending every free moment together, until September rolls around, just as the song lyrics forewarn. Before eventually parting ways, the couple embraces in one final goodbye kiss. Watch the video below.

Bradberry took to her Instagram stories this morning to relay the message that shortly after this music video was filmed, the beaches of 30A were hit by Hurricane Michael, devastating the surrounding communities. She has teamed up with the Rosemary Beach Foundation to help raise funds for the rebuilding and aiding of the surrounding areas. You can learn more and donate to those in need here.

Both country stars have a busy 2019 ahead. Rhett will be on the road for most of next year, including his ‘Very Hot Summer Tour’ next summer. For a full list of show dates along with additional information, visit https://www.thomasrhett.com. Bradbery will head out on the road with Kane Brown as a supporting act for his ‘Live Forever Tour’ this winter. [Listen] Danielle Bradbery & Thomas Rhett Team Up for “Goodbye Summer”

Danielle Bradbery Goodbye Summer

Danielle Bradbery’s album I Don’t Believe We’ve Met was one of our favorites released last year.  The personal collection of songs showcased the songstress and her ability to reintroduce herself as a grown woman, in this industry and as a songwriter with meaningful thoughts to pour into her lyrics.  Just as the last full month of summer approaches, Bradbery released today “Goodbye Summer” an ode to a summer romance that ended too quickly.  On this new version of “Hello Summer” which is on her record, Bradbery features country superstar Thomas Rhett adding an undeniable depth as a duet.

“Thomas Rhett was one of the first mentors I had in Nashville and we’ve become really good friends over the years. He’s like a big brother to me, so to be able to record a song he wrote was incredibly special, I remember when I first heard the demo, I actually jammed to it with Thomas Rhett’s vocal on it as if it wasn’t even going to be mine,” Bradbery says in a recent press release.  “Now to have the opportunity to re-record the song with him – it’s a dream scenario.”

Check out the new song below and grab your copy of I Don’t Believe We’ve Met on iTunes here.
