Sam Hunt continues to impress fans and country radio with each and every release. With the second single of his EP, Locked Up, Hunt reached the top of the country radio charts yet again. “Country House” is officially the number one song at country radio, marking his twelfth number one of his career.
Co-written by Hunt with Ross Copperman, Josh Osborne, and Michael Lotten, “Country House” is a romantic, nostalgic song. The track melds stripped-back production and rhythmic beats that speak to Hunt’s unique style of music. The song is a true bop, and it captures everything that Hunt has been so successful with over the course of his long-standing career.
“Where you can let your hair down, and I can ride some squares ’round // Our own little fresh patch of beans // Where I can run my bird dogs, cut the grass with my shirt off and // Swim in an old pair of jeans // Baby, I wanna live in a country house, in a country house with you // // I want a stove full of wood and coal on a hill with a heavenly view // Where the days are longer and our love gets stronger // And the grass is a little bit blue // Cuttin’ wood for the whittle of it, out in the middle of the country // In a country house with you, you”
Congratulations to Sam Hunt and his team on their twelfth number one single at country radio with “Outskirts!”
