Sam Hunt Debuts Brand New Song “Locked Up” at CRS
Sam Hunt debuts new song at Country Radio Seminar (CRS) in Nashville called “Locked Up.” Listen to the brand new song below.
Sam Hunt is back with a full vengeance! The singer-songwriter continues to quietly release music, most recently with his newest single, “Outskirts” and previously released song, “Walmart.” Today, during Country Radio Seminar for media and radio programmers, Hunt unveiled an unreleased song called “Locked Up.”
The new song is a stripped-down, honest, and soft tune seemingly written from his own experiences. In a candid take on Hunt’s checkered past, the singer vulnerably reflects on the love his wife showed him during hard times. “Locked Up” has the potential to be a huge song for the singer, once it is officially released. It checks all the boxes including stellar songwriting.
“The night I got locked up // Everything went wrong // The night I got messed up // I should’ve just stayed home // Picked up my phone // What can I say // Well, I thought that you’d walk away // But you stood by your man // Like Tammy Wynette”
Later in the song, fans can hear Hunt sing how appreciative he is that his wife loved him through it all. “Locked Up” is a true expression of what country music can be. Throughout his career, Hunt has continued to be a dedicated and honest songwriter, who shares his own experiences with fans. We cannot wait to see how Hunt continues to grow and develop as an artist with each new release this year.
