Old Dominion Shares New Song “Making Good Time”
Old Dominion’s new song “Making Good Time” is out now, February 7th on all streaming platforms. Listen to the brand new track below.
There is something special about an Old Dominion song. Every song feels like nostalgia wrapped up in a pretty box with a bow and every tune feels distinctly like the band. Today, the singer-songwriters add to their impressive catalog of hits with another nostalgic song called “Making Good Time.”
“Making Good Time” is a look-back at a young relationship where the flame burned out. Despite the ending, it is easy to look at the relationship with rose-colored glasses, reminiscing about the positive and good times that were had. The song is an anthem for young love, nostalgia, and looking back at memories with a smile on your face.
“We were 17, we were making moves // Burning gasoline, I was on fire for you // When you’re drinking too much // Do you think about us // Do you redrive every mile // Jus trying to get out of this slow down town // ‘Cause it never really was our style // Never gonna give you up // Never gonna let dust settle down on a dashboard night // Maybe we were going all the way // Maybe we were going nowhere, either way // You were by my side // And we were making good time”
“Making Good Time” is an obvious add-on to Old Dominion’s repertoire. The song feels timeless and even more enjoyable with every listen.
